So updates: Well there are the updates to adding to me already long list, but you can see the other posts for those. Eventually I might actually make the list again.

What I've been doing: Ignoring creating mainly. It happens when something is giving me issues that aren't easy to fix. I've been playing a little bit of my ToT Challenge in what little time I have been spending on sims. Right now I'm trying to find a mesh for TonyPilot's Minnie Mouse sim. Every single mesh I have found (even ones in game!) have an issue on the chest area that has the area of the bodice of the dress split from the chest area. This would be a non issue, except that Minnie's dress has a high collar and POLKA DOTS! So it's looking like I have to make a mesh myself, and I hate making body meshes unless I'm piecing together parts of mesh a with parts of mesh b to make mesh c. The current attempt is using the nude body mesh on the bodice part, but I'll need to pull out the vertices between the breasts to make it look smoother. Unless I can find a mesh that does that already, and has a smooth UV Map. I think the maxis t shirt mesh does so, but I really don't have the patience to wait for the game or Bodyshop to load at the moment to check. It's dangerously close to time for bedtime for VP. I think that I'll go to bed and check this out when i wake up, in-between loads of laundry. (I desperately need to do laundry. I'm out of clean T-shirts, tank tops and any other item that can be worn on the upper body that isn't long sleeved.) I'll probably put up an update when i get some decent headway on that mesh. Then it's just recoloring the dress, which will be rather easy, finding a black skintone to use for the mouse-people and actually making the sims then taking pictures and submitting for upload.

Oh and anyone looking for the accessory coat I made for Dagi: it has a slight bleed through issue on the bottom of the coat. It doesn't bother me, nor Dagi, but the mods don't like it. I have two options for this. A) I leave it in it's imperfect state and get the downloads section of my website up and running, or B) Fix the damn thing, take new pics to replace the ones that show the bottom edge of the coat, and resubmit the upload. I'm not sure how ot go about fixing it, as I'm not sure what the issue is. It could be a normals issue, as that's where I cut off part of the original coat and moved a bunch of vertices around to close the edge (it gaped badly in some spots), but I spent a few minutes playing with that, and it makes some of the other spots have crappy looking normals. I'll look into it more eventually (as it'll bug me otherwise and it might help me solve my transparency issues when i make alpha editable accessories) but if anyone can offer advice, I will gladly take it under consideration.

Oops i goofed. the evil writer is actually number 13 on my list. KatsumiKoomiGogo got to me first and asked for an alteration on general zoi's loincloth mesh. That's my number twelve. ~VP

Another minor update. I've gotten the heads for my Mickey and Minnie sims done. And Mickey's outfit is done too. Minnie's is proving to be difficult. The mesh I wanted to use is UV mapped weirdly. This wouldn't be a problem if her dress wasn't polka dotted, but it is and I can't for the life of me get the dots to match up on the different pieces of the bodice. So now I need to go "mesh shopping" to find either a mesh I can use or parts I can put together to make this thing. And to think I hoped to be done today.

On Dagi's coat: Apparently there's a small transparency issue that neither I nor Dagi when she took pictures noticed, but the mods did so that needs fixing. And apparently the white recolor is "too white" even though it uses the same texture as maxis... *sigh* Hopefully I get these fixed quickly. ~VP

A small tiny update. I just accepted a new request from the evil writer for the maxis toilets to be made decorative. This would fit into spot number twelve on my list in the July 16th entry.

I'm just about to go work on getting the face on the Minnie Mouse head. Be glad I'm not choosing to read 50 Shades of Grey like everyone I know keeps bugging me to.

Hi all! Like I reported before Dagi's coat is finished and she just got back to me with the pics and they look awesome! I just submitted the thread for upload, so hopefully it will be up in a few days.

On the news of other requests: Still working on the Minnie/Mickey Mouse head. I was going to make the bow on the head alpha editable, so that you could choose whether or not it showed, but that's causing me transparency issues, so I redid the mesh so that females have the bow and males don't. The recolor is mostly done, the only thing holding me up is that I need to work on actually getting the face on there, and that's probably going to wait until my weekend (which starts on Sunday morning). I may or may not work on the recolor of the dress in the meantime, or I may leave that until I get the head done. Dunno right now.

But now I need to go and get ready for work, since I need to leave within the half hour. See y'all! ~VP

Hi all!

In the past few days I found Slacker Radio, and on it I found the 90's Hits station, which when I play it sounds just like when I turned the radio on in high school (even if I was in high school in the very early 2000's as I graduated in '04. Aak! Now you all know how old I am!) and since I had a ball in high school, this station makes me very happy. And when I'm happy, I'm creative. (Really big green candles with pretty scents help too!) This means I've spent more time making things for Sims than playing Sims. That and it's summer. I tend to hibernate and not be myself in the winter. I just apparently took a long time to thaw out this year.

Anyhow, creation wise: Dagi's coat is done, I'm waiting in a response from her since she agreed to take pics, before that gets posted. I didn't want to waste my creative-ness so I started on TonyPilot's request of a Minnie Mouse sim, like the mascots at the Disney parks. I found a dress mesh that will work quite well for the dress, but there are no giant mouse head meshes, go figure. So i have to make one of those. And well the meshwork is done and it sits on the right part of the sim (the head obviously) but it's having bleed through issues. So that's where I am now. Once I figure out the bleed through issues, I'll make the recolor of the head, and of the dress (I might do the dress while I wait on someone to be able to help me). I've also decided to make a Mickey sim to go with Minnie, simply b/c it's only one more recolor and I'm a fan of completeness. I'm going to go find a suitable mesh just as soon as I look at a few pics of the mascot.

So that's what's going on. I'm off to well probably not be at all productive since I'm not in my room right now since one of my sister's friends has temporarily taken over my bed after a night of clubbing. I'd rather she take over the bed than try to go home drunk. Bye all! ~VP

Hello everyone.

I haven't done anything much with creating since my last post, and I think I figured out why. I promised to work through things in the order recieved, minus the one exception for the item I was working on right then. Well the item was giving me major hassels and i kept not wanting to deal with it. I figured out a solution to this particular issue and will now start back to creating. I jsut accepted a bunch more requests so here's the updated list of things to do (minus all the things my sister wants me to make and the things I want but aren't that important)

1) I STILL need to get better pics of the Uber Family Dresses for catorix (sorry catorix. On the bright side, I think my photography skills have improved with all the pictures I've been taking for my challenge)
2)Dagi_is_a_punk's sleeveless coat (this is what's been giving me trouble. Like I said I think I've found a way to fix that so it'll be done soon hopefully)
3)TonyPilot's Minnie Mouse sim (this one may take me awhile to get through)
4)worry_faraway wants some decorative flasks for a laboratory
5)ekrubynaffit and x_kisses_for_yooh_x would like a bathtub sofa like the one shown in Holly Golightly's apartment in Breakfast at Tiffany's
6)WildPigeonChase has asked for a few edits on a couple of outfits from Bon Voyage and Teen Style Stuff
7)sweetbaby160 wants some decorative urns

So that's my current list. It's long and almost intimidating. I'm going to go work on dagi's coat right now and when that's done take some pics of it and for catorix. Then I'll start on the rest of this stuff. Hopefully I'll be back soon with an update on the state fo the list. ~VP

*Several hours later*: So I got Dagi's coat done, and am currently working on tony's Minnie Mouse. I've found a mesh that will work perfectly for the dress, and am currently trying to mesh a decent looking mouse head. The nose is the tricky part. Hopefully it won't take me too long to get right. Anyhow, I though y'all might like an update. I'm off to do something mindless for an hour or two before I go to bed. I've had enough of playing with mesh parts for today (and my green candle is almost gone. I'll have to buy another one tonight at work). I'll be back when I have progress to report! ~VP

Hi all

I'm very sorry to have to say that I have not worked on any custom content at all in the past two months. I've simply had no motivation. And all my sim passion has gone toward playing my Test of Time challenge. However i'm kinda burnt out on that for now so as soon as I get back to playing (I've been rather obsessed with Sailor Moon recently) I'm going to finish the current round (2 households to go) and take a break from them. Perhaps I'll get back to creating then.

I promise that when I DO get back to creating, I will work through the list I posted in an earlier entry in the order of receiving the requests with one exception that's noted there, then I'll tackle the half dozen or so new requests that have popped up in my inbox in the past couple of months. I haven't responded to any of these people yet, b/c how can I promise to make them something when I have no drive to make it? But once I get back to creating, I'll let them, and all of you, know.

I'll need to make sure I take my notebooks with me when I go on vacation next week so I can work on stuff when my Aunt and Mom are being boring. (I use notebooks to plan out what I need to do for objects, make notes on what needs to be changed when I check it in game or bodyshop, and sketch out anything that needs to be designed from scratch.)

I have had an idea of my own recently. it's related to my ToT challenge but i can't use it for a while. The next era will be the roman era and i was looking around at stuff and while several of the togas are rather pretty, I don't want everyone to be in the same toga all the time. (Ironic since all my sims currently in the challenge aside from the plantsims wear the same outfit just in a different color) So I thought I'd make a few togas. And since I'm all about variety, these won't be full body outfits. They'll be separates that can be mixed and matched to create bunches of similar looking but not the same togas. If i can get the meshwork right that is. Several of the tops i have planned will require the top mesh to "blend" into the bottom mesh to give the illusion of a single piece toga.

I do however promise to work through several fo my existing requests before really tackling those togas though. Creating tonypilots' minnie mouse sim should give me uite a bit of practice in meshwork so I'll probably work through to that one before I really start fiddling with the togas

Anyhow, that's about it for now. I'm off to get ready for work. Which i need to ride my bike to, and it sounds a bit wet out there (if the sounds of the cars going by is any indication. Its dark out right now. Good think my bike has a light) Bye! ~VP

Um, hi. I've done absolutely positively nothing creation-wise in the past month. All of my spare time has been put to use playing my Test of Time challenge. I will attempt to get something done in the next week since I'm on vacation, but I make no promises.

So why did VP take the first week of April as vacation? Well that would be because my birthday is in two days and a (paid) week off from work is my birthday present to me. I've been doing that ever since I put in enough time to earn vacation.

So Happy Birthday to me! And maybe I'll be back later in the week to say I've done someone's request.~VP

Hi everyone! Happy March, and a shout-out to my sister and my friend Fred (even if they probably won't read this) for having birthdays this month. My sister's is the 15th and Fred's is today.

Anyway, a quick update on my list of requests. If I forgot anyone, I'm sorry and I promise I will get to you. This is the order I've recieved the requests, with the exception that dagi_is_a_punk got bumped up due to me already working on the request. I will attempt to work on them in this order, though it is not guaranteed.
1)catorix- is still waiting on the uber family dresses for toddlers and children. I'm still avoiding taking pictures. Sorry 'bout that.
2)dagi_is_a_punk- a sleeveless coat. The mesh is almost done and i hope to get it done during my weekend. Then I just have to create the recolors.
3)Tonypilot- a Minnie Mouse mascot sim
4)aaxelsaige- a studded collar
5)worry_faraway- a set of decorative flasks for a lab
6)gummilutt- adult conversions of a teen plaid pant
7)ekrubynaffit- a bathtub sofa

That's it. There are also the things I want to make for myself and the things my sister wants me to make for her. You can look a previous posts to see what those are. Some of these might take precedence over the request list simply b/c i need to do something "fun" with no pressure for it to be as perfect as I can get it. And sometimes I'd just rather work on that stuff. Everything on the above list WILL get completed. How soon I can't begin to tell you, but it will get done.
