Sports Trophies Now Available

Date Posted: 13th May 2007 at 12:59 PM

Just thought I'd let ya'll know I dropped a North American Sports Trophies set this weekend.

It's my first official attempt at object meshing, but from the responses so far people are really digging them.

Will this be the set that gets me featured?

I doubt it. I feel like Rodney Dangerfield... I get no respect.

You'd think I seriously wronged someone on this site the way I'm shunned...

What is cheating? *off topic observation*

Date Posted: 12th May 2007 at 2:31 AM

Okay... I've got a scenario that I'd love to get some input about.

I'd say I'm a pretty strong moralistic guy. I'm not a bible thumper or anything, but I have a rigid set of moral codes that I live by. One of them is if you're in a relationship with someone, you don't cheat on them.

Plain and simple.

Either break it off completely THEN pursue your desires or just don't do it in the first place. That's my view..

But sitting here one day the question popped into my head - "What qualifies as cheating?"

Is it physically enaging in relations with another?

Is it lusting for another while involved with someone else?

Is talking dirty to someone without ever having physical contact cheating?

I know when I think of cheating a red flag immediately comes up when referring to physical contact with another, but oddly enough dirty talk doesn't.

Any opinions?

NFL Draft - The Lions Rant

Date Posted: 9th May 2007 at 7:35 PM

Ok... I know the Draft is long over and I know a lot of people on here don't give a hoot about sports news, but for those who do, can someone please tell me why the Detroit Lions took yet another wide receiver in the 1st round? 2003 they take Charles Rogers(<--BUST). 2004 they take Roy Williams (<--finally a good selection). 2005 they take Mike Williams (<-- BUST part 2... I guess they thought since he had the same last name as Roy he might be good). 2007, lo and behold, they take...ANOTHER WR???

Not to take anything away from Mr. Johnson. I know he's a talent. I know passing him over would have been like the Saint's passing over Reggie Bush last year. The problem I'm having is that the Lions are suffering from so many position deficiencies that taking an WR in the first round was just dumb. Why not bolster the line and protect your QB a bit better or maybe open up a hole for your running back? And speaking of RB, maybe pick one up that can last a whole season? Or here's a thought... maybe start building a defensive backfield (considering they gave away their best DB in Dre Bly).

It just bothers me that a head coach with a defensive history such as Rod Marinelli is letting Mike Martz call the shots.

Feel free to chime in if you have anything to add, contest or offer.

Retirement (possibly)

Date Posted: 1st May 2007 at 10:08 PM

Yeah... I'm sure every creator has gone through this turmoil at one point or another.

You start feeling underappreciated, uninspired, overworked, and the real world just gets a bit overbearing.

I feel that I've given back to the community 100 times over. I feel that my contribution has added a wee bit of diversity to an already eclectic forum. At this point I don't feel that I "owe" anything anymore.

I know...I just got through saying I had some sets almost ready for uploading, but the process has become tedious. It shouldn't be that way. There should be some love put into it and right now I have none.

Maybe I need a break?

Any advice or comments would be welcome....

Move Complete (plus NHL Update)

Date Posted: 30th Apr 2007 at 9:11 PM

Wow.

That was a whole lot of exercise I didn't want to do. Imagine, if you will, moving a 2 bedroom house worth of STUFF with a Kia Rio (non hatchback) and a '98 Ford F-150.

Oh yeah... we were up on the 3rd floor as well with NO elevator.

Thank goodness the new place wasn't too far way (less than a mile) otherwise I think I would have just said ta hell with it and camped out on the street. I swear though... moving makes you realize just how much crap you horde over the years. Needless to say (even though I'm gonna say it anyway) I'm gonna be sorting, chucking and rearranging for the next week or so.

Which brings me back to Sim news. As it stands I was in the middle of the Men's NHL Pacific Division when I had to pack up shop and get to moving. I should have that set along with the ladies Pacific Division uploaded within the next week or two. It all depends on how much time I can devote to it between work and settling in.

I'll also be releasing another update to that male hockey mesh. That collar was just an abomination so tweaked it out. Of course, messing with the mesh forced me to redo/retweak the Atlantic Division as well.

Yeah... I know... you'll have tor download the mesh and sets once again.... but hey, think of it this way, I want the best for my fans so if that means tweaking and tweaking to get closer to the real deal, then so be it. I'll keep you posted about when everything is near completion.

Stay Tuned.

Moving...

Date Posted: 19th Apr 2007 at 6:56 PM

For anyone who cares, I'm in the process of moving to a new home. Like most moves, the hell should start unfolding within the last few days of the month and carry over to the first couple of days of May.

Translation: I'll probably vanish for about a week.

I'm not leaving for good.

I'm not disgruntled and pouting.

I'm not retiring.

Just moving.

New Female Football Jersey Outfit Available

Date Posted: 15th Apr 2007 at 8:19 PM

I haven't been impressed with the female jerseys I've been recolouring. Some Maxis meshes are just a pain in the a$$ to do so with.

So rather whine about my woes I did something about it. Thanks to my acquired knowledge from these boards I cranked out a flirty little outfit for the girls out there.

Yeah yeah yeah... I know. I also wrote a comment in HystericalParoxysm's journal expressing my appreciation that the God of Mod was going to make a line of "comfortably covered" lady outfits.

Hippocrite?

Nah... I'm just a guy.... and every guy sYns. :D

Happy 25k to Me

Date Posted: 11th Apr 2007 at 5:12 PM

No... I'm not tuting my own horn. Heck If i could do that I wouldn't leave the house. j/k

Seriously, I'm not being egotistical by congratulating myself (cuz I know some of u monster creators would laugh your a$$es of at such a paltry number).

No.. in fact I'm just pleased as hell so many people actually downloaded my stuff. I looked at my profile page and saw the number I was at and was befuddled. Like I touched upon in an earlier journal entry, I initially signed up with MTS2 so I could download all the quality free content I could.

YES. I wanted to be a leech. I wanted to take and take and take and give nothing back.

However the overall sense of community here changed me. I felt extremely guilty about what I was doing so I decided to give back to the community as well. Now I know I downloaded a lot... but nowhere even remotely close to 25,000.

So in essence I feel righteous.

I feel like I've given back and then some.

The more people that download my content; the more I feel justified. For a guy who never intended to create anything for the Sims2 to have 25,000+ in a little more than 5 months is an accomplishment in my book.

Long live MTS2.com May your infectious spirit spread throughout the Net.

Happy Easter (to all the religious folk out there)

Date Posted: 7th Apr 2007 at 3:58 PM

Okay... so it's not technically Easter yet, but I figured I'd belt out my well wishes now.

I try to keep race, religion, and politics out of my conversations because they really serve no purpose in my getting to know someone. Just because I don't actively speak about religion, doesn't mean I disrespect it. So with the holiday rapidly approaching, I wish all of you out there who are celebrating it a happy Easter.

Seriously folks... be safe out there.

[Off Topic Babble] Pajama Bottoms

Date Posted: 6th Apr 2007 at 4:31 PM

I'm sitting here the other day, hanging out on my balcony trying to soak in some fresh air and my gaze happens to catch a young woman crossing the street.

I'm not gonna lie. I was watching her rear in motion. I'm not afraid to admit that. Least I wasn't ogling her or tossing cheesy catcalls in her direction.

Anyway... as I was starting to fall into a motion trance, my periphial vision panned out and I caught full grasp of what she was wearing...

PAJAMA BOTTOMS

Okay... seriously... what the hell is the craze with chicks (and some guys) wearing pajama pants as outdoorwear?? Have we gotten THAT lazy that changing out of your bloody bedwear is a bit too much effort? Or is it that pajamas are so uncontrollably comfortable that you just have to wear them outside?

Whatever the case is I wish someone would tell me WHY this is a fad now. I like to be comfortable as much as the next person but where do we draw the line between comfort and laziness.

Just reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where the heiress of the O-Henry chocolate bar empire started walking the streets in just an open blazer and bra. It's nice to observe but you're inviting trouble that way....
