[Rant Alert] A world without People...

Date Posted: 5th Apr 2007 at 8:31 AM

Ok... I'm having a bad day in general, but I swear... something hit me in the last couple of hours that just set the fuse off.

First off, I'm getting real tired of people bitching about "Why didn't you make this?" and "Why didn't you make that?". I mean c'mon! Piss off! I bust my a$$ putting out quality and quantity work. Rarely (if ever) have I just posted 1 item. Nah... with me I put out entire sets. Do any of you complainers have a clue as to how difficult it is to do that?

Obviously not otherwise you wouldn't be bitching. If you don't like what I do or want something (that I f*cking said I'd do in due time) immediately, then do it yourself. It's as simple as that. There are those who support my work and give me the drive to keep on creating but dammit, you little leeches sap every bit of creative force from me.

Some people think I have a bad attitude.

Maybe I do.

I have this problem where I just hate people in general. Don't get me wrong, I like individuals.... heck I even love a few, but people as a whole tend to be extremely ignorant, lazy, abusive and greedy.

The world would be such a wonderful place if not for all the damn people on it....

Atlantic Division NHL Set for the ladies DONE!

Date Posted: 4th Apr 2007 at 8:57 PM

Yup. That's right. My first exclusively female outfit set. It's in the moderation queue at the moment and should pass inspection relatively soon so keep an eye out.

I have to send a special thanks to the ladies of the MTS2 community. When I first started making jerseys I thought it was only going to be dudes who would be attracted to them, but as it turns out the girls like them as much (if not more) than the boys.

I must say that kinda shocked me, but it's all good. It inspired me to dabble in mesh altering and finally get something out that the fairer sex could wear with pride.

Thanks girls. :lovestruc

Female Hockey Jersey Outfit Now Available

Date Posted: 2nd Apr 2007 at 9:52 AM

Yes. It's finally here.

I was being extremely nitpicky with this mesh. Had a few texture bugs with the male hockey mesh that I didn't want to happen to this one so I took my time and double (and even quadruple) checked everything.

The Atlantic Division for the ladies should be a piece of cake to pull off as a result.

N-Joy!

Female Hockey Outfit Mesh Complete

Date Posted: 1st Apr 2007 at 12:09 AM

Yeah. Took far more banging my head against a wall than I would have liked, but I think I tweaked out my frankenstein mixed part mesh.

I still have to slap a texture on it and give it some in-game testing, but so far so good.

Hopefully sometime this weekend I'll get a chance to upload the base mesh and a starter outfit, then get to work on the Atlantic Division (for the females).

Stay tuned, sport nuts.

A new idea brewing...

Date Posted: 22nd Mar 2007 at 4:59 PM

I think I'm going to do something out of the blue and change up the way I'm putting out these NHL jerseys. Back when I was doing the NFL gear, it was literally my first time meshing with recolouring Sims2 stuff and all.

Yes. I was wack. I was a n00b.

THANKFULLY, I've grown since then. I'm altering meshes and tweaking UV maps now and that changes the ballgame completely. I'm nowhere near as skilled as the majority of the meshers out there (and by goodness I tip my hat to them a thousand times cuz it's a brain-breaking process), but I now know enough to pull off some of the things I've had brewing in my dome.

For example... I think I found a Maxis mesh I can mold into the female hockey jersey outfit. Yeah... it'll take some trial and error, but based on what I learned from making the male one, it won't take nearly as long.

SO... with that said, based on how things turn out with that, the next NHL divisional set to be put out will not be the Northeast or Pacific. It will be the Atlantic......... FOR THE LADIES! :D

Stay tuned.

NHL Atlantic Division completed!

Date Posted: 21st Mar 2007 at 10:00 AM

...Pardon my typos (if any) and caveman speak.

Burnt the midnight oil on this one.

Good news is I think they bury my NFL sets in terms of quality. Set's in moderation right now so if it passes approval, all should be rockin'...

Must sleep now...

Good night and unga bunga......

...and the winner is....

Date Posted: 17th Mar 2007 at 4:21 PM

...the Atlantic Division!

It was close though. I'm actually surprised I got as many responses as I did so first and foremost thank you all for participating and sharing your input.

So, the rundown will go like this:

Atlantic
Northeast/Pacific (will be a coin toss)
Northwest/Southeast (yet another tie-breaker)
Central

At present time I am not taking player requests for hockey jerseys. Thank you to those who have made some suggestions beforehand, though. It's helped me lock down who to make initially. Custom requests will most likely be taken after the set is complete so no PMing me about "Why didn't you make ________?" and "Can you make ____?". I'm doing current players on current teams with current jerseys and logos. Throwbacks and legends will be discussed after the set it complete.

Thanks again and stay tuned....

NHL Poll

Date Posted: 14th Mar 2007 at 7:02 AM

Okay, quick feedback poll (If anyone bothers to read these journal entries). It's been about a decade since I've kept up with hockey so needless to say I have a lot of homework to do with this next project. My question to you, my loyal sports fans out there, which division should I start with?

Post your recommendations and by the end of the week (March 16th), I'll announce which division I'll start off with (based on your responses).

Please don't PM... just post a comment.

If no one has anything to say by week's end, then I guess I'll pick randomly.

New Hockey Mesh

Date Posted: 13th Mar 2007 at 5:50 PM

Thanks to the awesome folks who take the time out to write extremely detailed tutorials on this site, I was able to dabble in the black art of Mesh Modding.

It was scary.

Thankfully I had a wee bit of 3D knowledge prior to this otherwise I would have turned tail and run. I braved through vertices and faces, texture mapping grids and the bowels of SimPE to come up with a very simple hockey mesh for males.

Nothing too spectacular. Just a simple mod of a University mesh, but it so does the trick. The plan is to upload the mesh along with one "starter" recolor so that I get it into circulation. Then, I can start making the official un-official NHL collections.

Be on the lookout in the coming days.

Claudius993 - Beware the Sims 2 Exchange Scab

Date Posted: 2nd Mar 2007 at 7:48 PM

It's a shame.

I remember early last year (2006) when I first found MTS2, I was overwhelmed by the amount of free content found here. I downloaded tons of stuff and felt guilty as all hell because it felt like a crime. Everyone was so helpful and courteous it almost felt like I stumbled upon The Village. I felt SO guilty about taking so much that I too became a creator.

It's never been my philosophy to take from a community and not give back. Nothing grows or flourishes that way.

My policies are very simple and carefree. "No reposting on pay sites or the Exchange and give credit where credit is due".

Unfortunately there are some scabs that feel the need to pawn my hard work off as their own. I present to you a cat who goes by the name Claudius993 on the Exchange. He's decided to use my custom content and break not one, but both of my policy laws. Not only has he reposted my work on the Exchange, he doesn't even give me credit where credit is due.

It's behaviour by snot-nosed, greasy palmed, momma's boys like that force me to punish everyone. Not that my works are in THAT high demand or anything, but I'm suspending doing any custom content until further notice.

Maybe when my mood changes I'll get back to that NHL stuff.

Sorry sports fans.
