Rose Gardener loves her house, which is decorated in natural browns and greens with the odd splash of colour - just like her beloved plants! She's always loved plants and flowers and when she moved out of her parent's home and into her own place she was thrilled to be able to have as many plants as she wanted. She enjoys spending time sat on the log in her garden, watching the bees and listening to the birds, but most of all she likes to sit in her cacti room.

Yes, that's right, her cacti room! Rose's favourite plants of all are cacti and succulents, and she has quite a collection! She has few hobbies other than taking care of her cacti, but she does enjoy a spot of painting from time to time. Can you guess what she likes to paint? That's right - cacti! A few of her paintings are hung on the walls in her cacti room, but even though her friends tell her they're good and she should exhibit them she loves them because of the subject matter, not because of the quality of her work. She doesn't even show her cacti, even though they're all beautiful, because she worries that taking them outside could damage them.

Her family and friends often ask her why she doesn't grow plants that are more colourful and have pretty flowers. She's lost count of the number of times she's explained that cacti do flower, if you treat them just right, and that she's for more excited by a flower that she's worked hard for than by the countless flowers that you see on "easier" plants. Her friends have all learned, at last, that she hates cut flowers - after all, why on earth would she want "pretty" dying things in her home when she is so fond of caring for all of her own living plants?
