Judge1: 10/10 You did a very good job on this house. The front of the house is especially nice. The windows you've picked really work on this house. They are interesting, but don't over power the tiny house. The color scheme is nice (I especially like the green siding) and the furniture is arranged well throughout the house. My one critique is that I think the girl's bedroom and kitchen are a little too monochromatic. The
pink and green are a bit overpowering. The landscaping in front is especially nice. It looks both fancy, yet natural.
Judge 2: 9/10 It has a very nice look. Maybe a little more modern than I would have went for the Mason's, but not terribly so, and that comes later (wink). Would have liked some pavement of some sort under the basketball hoop, too.
Judge 3: 9/10 Beautifully and consistently decorated throughout and I like the simple but pretty landscaping. Mainly the issue I have with the lounge (as explained below) that puts me off a bit.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 9/10 Good job on the layout. The furniture is arranged nicely. The room layout makes sense. I think sims will be able to move fairly easily around the house. One small issue is the couch is so close to the table, that it will probably cause issues.
Judge 2: 7/10 Very open, considering the space you had. The TV seating area is a little cramped, but usable. Also, there's no open counter for food prep. Would definitely cause some foot stomping.
Judge 3: 7/10 I was looking very hard at the overhead for issues, then went through the room pics and found a big oops - no food prep space! However, you have avoided narrowing that space to one tile. I am a little bit bugged by how cramped the lounge bit feels when everything else is nicely spaced out. And the bookshelves in the bedroom, can they be used?! BTW, I know it's only a decorative object, but WTF is a toaster doing up that high?! lol
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 15/15 feedback: The house looks cozy and cheerful. It looks like a family lives there. Elise’s room matches her style and I get a sense of Bill’s style as well. There are a lot of family photos subtlety placed throughout the house.
Judge 2: 12/15 As I said, it's a little modern to me. Modern just doesn't feel super "familiy home". But I love the pic of (I'm assuming) Ann and Bill in the living room and the one (assuming again) of Ann and Elise on Elise's night stand. I think those would have been very important to them. I think Elise would like her room a lot, though maybe she'd like it more with a butterfly bedspread (wink). I like that you've even included some butterflies in the living room as well.
Judge 3: 14/15 Elise's room is purple and girly and I can see butterflies, Bill's is masculine while the rest of the house is bright and cheerful. Although Elise doesn't have any actual toys in her room, there is very appropriate decorative clutter, as well of course, as the swing and hoop outside and the games console. Nice to see photo frames off them with Ann. You do have everything covered, but you did have space (and budget I believe) to have put a dolls house in Elise's room and always room for more butterflies. Just would have completed it for me and perhaps encouraged me to give an elusive perfect 15...hmm! (If you hadn't guessed, I am very much opposed to the idea of 'perfection'!)

Judge 1: 9/10 This house is very nice. The inside of the house is great. I really love the way you matched brightly colored or lively patterned objects against neutral wall colors. It really makes the house look lively and compelling. The furniture is also arranged very nicely. The front of the house is well balanced and realistic looking; however, I think the front is a little plain. I also think the backyard looks a bit undefined. It might look better with a border or fence to mark the end. I really love the pond and flower arrangement in
the backyard.
Judge 2: 7/10 The landscaping seems a bit lacking, especially for Rose. It's a nice house, but the interior feels just a bit conflicting in styles. Not terribly so, but there are modern elements mixed in with very classic, or even a bit country elements. For example, the wall in the kitchen feels kind of modern, but the counters are country. It also seems a little plain to me. All the beige walls, etc.
Judge 3: 8/10 Firstly, I absolutely LOVE the little seated area out the back, with the beautiful little pond and the lovely color of the planting. Inside is very warm and the colors are tasteful with nice accents. Bedroom is quite empty for the size though - a wardrobe or dresser may have helped fill the space. I love the flower wall hangings and the shelf of plants.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 10/10 Good job on the layout. I think sims will be able to move easily around the house. The furniture is arranged nicely and the rooms make sense.
Judge 2: 10/10 It's very nice and open. I think sims would have no problem moving through this layout.
Judge 3: 9/10 I do wonder if a shower/tub would have been wiser in the bathroom.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 15/15 The house is bright and lively. The furniture is casual and unpretentious and there is a nice flower garden and plants throughout the house.
Judge 2: 13/15 While I love that you gave her the flower arranging station and hydroponic garden, the lacking landcaping sort of cancels that out. There are lots of indoor plants, though.
Judge 3: 13/15 For someone who loves plants as much as Rose, I'd have thought she'd have more outside than what you placed. Also could maybe have had more actual plants in bedroom, but certainly seems to be surrounded by them in the living area. Bright and cheerfully decorated though, with minimal and not overly expensive furnishings.

Judge 1: 6/10 This house is very creative. I really like that you used a rustic kitsch style. It’s very interesting and I think it goes well with the trailer look of the home. I also like the farm look of the yard. The garden plots are particularly cute. However, I think the house is a little too overwhelming. I know that kitschiness practically necessitates an overwhelming look, but I would like to see a little more balance. (Maybe by using more old fashion furniture or lighter color walls.) Also the front of the house is a bit plain and the yard might look better if it wasn't divided into such distinct sections. I really love the bathroom. It strikes just the right balance and is engaging yet cozy looking. I also love the way you've used deco items in the kitchen.
Judge 2: 7/10 There is a mish mosh of patterns in this house, which I debated with myself over. I think maybe Rose just finds something she likes and gets it, with no regard to it going with everything else (wink). It's not eye hurting or anything, lol. I really think what throws it off the most, for me, is the border on the wall in the main part of the house. I think if the main wall had been a solid color, the other various patterns and bright furnishings would have played better together. That being said, I do really like the "flea market find" feel to the furnishings. And I LOVE the outside! The suburban farm look is fantastic. I love the goats in particular.
Judge 3: 7/10 You definitely made good use of the outside space! I like it and that you've paid attention to the terrain cover. I'm not feeling the little high up windows, though their style goes nicely they do kind of disappear under the roof on the outside and mess up the wallpaper border on the inside. The interior decor isn't to my personal taste, but it is bight and cheerful and the naturalness of the furnishings is lovely (just very mix and match with the woods, though that does suit who lives there). I adore the bathroom mirror! I also love that you've cluttered the spaces up.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 8/10 I think sims will move around the house easily. The room layout makes sense. The furniture is a bit lined up in some areas and the yard is divided a bit awkwardly.
Judge 2: 10/10 There's a nice, open path through the house, which isn't always easy with this small home.
Judge 3: 9/10 Bit mean to take a point off, but I do feel dear Tom cat would be in the way while busy getting high on his catnip!
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 12/15 The house is very lively and sunny looking. There is a large garden and the house is very causal looking. There are a lot of flowers inside; however, there are not a lot of flowers in the yard. It’s mostly farm plants.
Judge 2: 14/15 You've given Rose everything I think she could possibly want. There are plants and flowers in every small detail of this house.
Judge 3: 13/15 She does seem to have a few more possessions than others but I like that you've kept them natural and they are mostly decorative touches. Although the living area has a wonderful amount of flowers, from what we can see of the bedroom and certainly in the bathroom, they do seem to be rather lacking.

Judge 1: 7/10 You've created a really interesting rustic look. I love the plant arrangements in the backyard. They’re so lush looking. However, while I think the rustic look is very nice, it could be improved a bit. Also, the plant beds in the front are a little too symmetrical. I really love the bathroom—it’s very eclectic looking, which is hard to pull off.
Judge 2: 10/10 I think this house is gorgeous. You've done wonderfully with the shabby chic/cottage style (which is one of my favorite styles). This house really shows the love and care you put into it. Down to the terrain paint, which is often neglected (particularly by myself, lol).
Judge 3: 7/10 The landscaping is gorgeous - I love the wooden, uh...things (can't for the life of me think what they're called - got one in my garden as well though!).
Inside...well, I don't know if a 'fixer-upper' style can ever be attractive (though the paint would certainly be a-peeling...heh-heh...) but you have managed to make it look rather pretty considering. I do really like the bathroom shot. And there's some great cluttering.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 8/10 Sims routing should work well. They layout of the rooms makes sense. Some of the objects in the rooms are a bit spaced out.
Judge 2: 9/10 Using the second bedroom as the living room really opened up the house. Great idea! But there's no empty counter. I see some foot stomping coming on.
Judge 3: 7/10 Might be an issue in the bedroom if that's a wardrobe in the corner? Not just making it very tight to get past (if it is actually possible?) but wardrobe wouldn't be usable. Also, as lovely as the kitchen clutter is, there is no clear counter to prepare food on.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 12/15 Flowers and flowers everywhere! The house is rustic, so it’s great for any an unmaterialistic and easy going person. However, it pretty dark and gloomy looking.
Judge 2: 14/15 The garden is fantastic, and the interior is beautifully floral. I think Rose would be extremely happy here.
Judge 3: 13/15 The outside is great for the plants, Rose would love sitting out there. She seems to have quite a few possessions, but they do look like the sort of items she'd have picked up at junk shops/other second-hand places and the fix-up look suits. I love the flowers you've used inside, but I don't think there is enough really to feel surrounded.

Judge 1: 7/10 You did a great job on the garden. It looks so wild, lush and deliciously unkempt. The flower arranging station also looks nice. The front of the house looks realistic and well balanced; however, I think it looks a bit boring. I also think the patterns in the living room and kitchen are a bit overwhelming. There is too much vying for my attention in those rooms. I like the green color on the front of the house. It goes well with the garden.
Judge 2: 7/10 The green floor....it could have worked, but I think this green (tile and carpet) is too bright. A more muted green would have worked better. It could definitely enhance the floral theme, if it were a bit softer like the walls. Other than that, I like the general design, except the "natural fence", I like it, but I think it would have looked better if you had used the snapObjectsToGrid cheat to make it look more natural. But it was a very good idea.
Judge 3: 6/10 I like the 'living wall' idea and the foliage down the sides is lovely and colorful. Inside, the wallpaper isn't to my personal taste, but it goes well with the green carpet, but really not very keen on it with the linoleum or the sofa. The furnishings suit Rose well by being quite cheap, but they're not the most attractive. Everything is positioned in a very linear way - the potted plants either side of the sofa, for example, would have looked more naturally placed if they were bunched up off-grid.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 9/10 Sims should route well. The room layouts make sense. The furniture is a bit lined up looking.
Judge 2: 10/10 Nice open paths between the furnishings.
Judge 3: 8/10 There's clear movement throughout, but I'm just a little bothered by the positioning of the two tables in her work room - a 2 tile and 1 tile with a tall potted plant placed in the corner would have worked better. Also wonder if pulling the dining table away from the wall would have made a little more sense, allowing for a fourth place.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 13/15 There’s a good amount of flowers in the yard and a lot of floral patterns in the house. Plus, there is a flower arranging station. The place looks very casual and unmaterialistic. It could work for a happy person, but it doesn't scream happy to me.
Judge 2: 14/15 It's a very floral home, and it has a ton of landscaping, perfect for Rose.
Judge 3: 13/15 All that gardening would certainly keep her busy! Might have been nice if she had somewhere to sit outside so she could enjoy the sight and smells rather than just tend it. Inside is quite minimalist with cheap furnishings. I can see several plants in the overhead, but looking at the extra pics, I think it could have done with having some hanging from the ceiling in the lounge and kitchen to really surround her - though she'd enjoy the wallpaper.
Judge 1: 5/10 The landscaping on this house is very creative, which I like to see. You've also managed to create a unified style throughout the house, which is great. A few things though, I think the furniture would look better if it matched more, not just in overall style, but also if it looked like it came from the same set. Also, the furniture layout is a bit sparse and the front of the house looks a bit unrealistic. I really like that you've fenced the lot in. It makes this dinky house look more substantial and the fence you picked goes well with your landscaping.
Judge 2: 7/10 First off, I LOVE that little owl in the kitchen! It's very pretty, but very pale, which is ok, but would love to see you let loose with some color for the last round (wink) I love the flowering vines outside. I wish the cabinets in the kitchen had different things on top (I realize this is just the way they came, but it still kind of bugs me). The stove is very interesting.
Judge 3: 6/10 The exterior is very pretty and I like that you have closed off the bin. The interior is, again, very white. I get that you like that style personally, but it would be nice to see you experiment a bit more. Some nice little decorative touches with the murals.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 8/10 (It’s a little hard to see the layout of the rooms, as the camera angle is tilted.) Sims should route well. The room organization makes sense. Objects look very lined up against walls and are a bit spaced out looking.
Judge 2: 9/10 Sims could move freely through this house, but I think maybe the shower should have been turned differently to make it a bit easier to access.
Judge 3: 9/10 I think the sofa in the bedroom would have been best turned 90 degrees so it was against the adjacent wall, but I think it might be alright for passing it if needed. It was hard to really tell where a shower was but I think I can work it out, and if it's round the way I think it is, then may have been better also turned 90. Otherwise though, it all seems to be fine.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 6/15 The house has several fun music items. However, I think it could have a bit more. The idea that Jones doesn't have a desk because the house is his retreat is very creative and I really enjoyed reading your story about him. However, you really have to sell me these ideas in the house itself. (and maybe sneak a few work items here and there anyway, so I know Jones is a work-a-holic.) I don’t really see much of a sense of Jones' decorating style in the house. Also, there is a big fun pool for Jones to play in.
Judge 2: 9/15 I like that you gave him a "weekend getaway" cottage. That was a very creative idea. But I must admit, at first glance, it looks better suited to Rose. I love the music room, and think Steve would as well (wink). Would have maybe liked to see a laptop stashed in a corner, because a work-a-holic like Steve never truely gets away from it.
Judge 3: 6/15 At first glance, I would have taken a guess that you had chosen the Gardener family for this round, to be completely honest. It is much too feminine a home for a single guy. I've already said I understand how you feel comfortable with this style - and contests are indeed for having fun. However, in any sort of build/design/decorate contest where you have been given certain sims to choose to keep in mind, it is also about encouraging you to get out of your comfort zone and try out something completely different to what you normally would. The different families don't have different needs just in terms of objects, but in what style they would go for. Having said that, it is simple and quite tasteful and he has some things to entertain himself with. I don't see any sign of the workaholic side of him though.

Judge 1: 9/10 Your house is lovely. The inside is really fantastic. Your use of patterns and textures is very well done and you've arranged the furniture very nicely as well. The outside of the house is quite nice; however, I think it's not quite perfect. I think the facade doesn't quite go together and I don't like how the tree blocks the view of the house. Good job creating a cohesive and interesting sense of style throughout the house. You've really perfected the magazine look.
Judge 2: 9/10 It's a very nice design. Might be a bit to stylish and modern for a non-materialistic sim, which comes later (wink). But it's very nice, I like it a lot.
Judge 3: 8/10 Landscaping has created some nice shapes. Interior is very light and airy with some very pretty wallpapers and lovely decorative touches. The bathroom is absolutely gorgeous! Bit unsure whether the mix of wallpaper/curtains/seat covers is a bit too busy in lounge area though. Beautiful clock.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 10/10 The furniture is laid out well and with a great sense of space. The rooms and yard areas make sense. Sims should route fairly well. However, the table chairs near the pillar and the stove will probably cause some slight issues. I think the problem will be small though.
Judge 2: 9/10 The bathroom is lovely, but the tub being angled makes it feel a bit cramped to me.
Judge 3: 9/10 The dining area is tight.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 8/15 The interior has a lot of flower patterns and a reasonable amount of plants. The yard has almost no flowers. The house looks fairly causal and happy looking, but it could look more so. I think the house just a little bit materialistic.
Jundge 2: 10/15 It's very floral, pattern wise, but somewhat lacking in real flowers. The garden is nice, but again lacking in flowers. Lots of nice green plants, though. And as I said, I think it's a little too modern and stylish for a non-materialistic sim.
Judge 3: 12/15 As lovely as the wallpapers are, I don't feel there's really enough real flowers inside, and the landscaping is mostly shrubs and trees with just a strip of what looks like daisies? I feel Rose would be likely to have more. It also feels a little bit too 'trendy' for a non-materialistic type.

I particularly like the kitchen and study area. The landscaping is fairly nice; however, it is a bit plain. I think the front of the house looks strange with the black windows and the facade is a bit plain looking. I really like that you fence the front yard. It makes this dinky house look more substantial.
Judge 2: 8/10 It has a very nice style through out. The color palate is subtle, but very nice. I don't care for the black windows from the outside, they look fine inside, but I think a nice wood tone would have work from both sides.
Judge 3: 8/10 Lovely consistent style throughout with a good balance of warm and cool colors. I love the bedroom pic, it looks so cozy...makes me want to curl up in bed and have a snooze (probably also helped by me feeling rather cold at the moment!)
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 7/10 The furniture is arranged with a good sense of space and the rooms make sense. It looks like there will be a few sim traffic issues. The living room area is fairly blocked by the coffee table and the desk chair is slanted, so sims cannot use it.
Judge 2: 9/10 It's pretty well laid out, but I think it's just a bit cramped in the living room seating with the coffee table.
Judge 3: 8/10 I have concerns as to whether the second bookcase makes access difficult, also the lounge is very full - and there is also the galley style kitchen (which are a real pain in the backside in real life too!)

Judge 1: 6/10 You did a great job creating a gorgeous backyard pond area. The layout of the pond, the layout of the flowerbeds and the little fence border around the pond look great and go really well together. Also, the white color palette is very pure looking and goes well with the vibrant siding on the outside of the house. However, I think the color scheme and patterns are a bit overwhelming. The flower arranging room is particularly bright. Also, I think the front of the house could use more details. Good job creating a unified style throughout the house.
Judge 2: 7/10 It's nice, but the busy patterns on all the walls are a bit over-whelming. The back yard is very nice, the front is a little lacking in comparison to the back. I don't think I like the blue siding with the overall look of the house. I also don't care for the couch, doesn't seem to go very well with the rest of the room.
Judge 3: 6/10 I like how you have hidden the steps and decking with the sunflowers and the pond at the back is a nice addition, though the reeds don't look very naturally placed. It's not to my personal taste (far too girly for my liking), but the majority of the interior is light and airy. The craft room decor is quite loud in comparison. That and the bathroom let the rest down a bit.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 7/10 Sim routing should be good in most of the house. However the planter and half wall by the door allow for only a 1 tile entry, which will probably cause issues. There is also a lot of empty space in the hallway area of the house. The furniture is a bit lined up looking in some parts of the house.
Judge 2: 7/10 Giving her the small bedroom and making the big one her home business was a bold move, space-wise, but it works (as long as she doesn't want to woohoo, lol). I like your use of half-walls to help create individual spaces. But I think with the half-wall beside the door, you should have left out the plant on the other side of the door, would have open up the entry better. The kitchen is a little cramped to me, and the fridge in the middle of the counters is just really bothering me. Not a routing issue so much, just seems odd.
Judge 3: 6/10 With the half wall and plant, you have made the entrance very closed in, especially as it is already greatly lacking in space on the outside. Inaccessible phone. There doesn't appear to be a usable kitchen counter for food prep. Movement through is all good though. Not very keen on bathroom layout though, not convinced a separate bath and shower is really needed.

Judge 2: 14/15 It's very flowery, inside and out. And you've given her a home business, complete with cute sign! I think maybe Rose would agree though, that the siding color is a bit dark and heavy compared to the rest of this light and airy house.
Judge 3: 14/15 With the plants at various levels I do feel Rose would feel surrounded by flowers in the living areas. However, the bathroom is very much lacking in floral goodness. Material possessions have been kept quite minimal and cheap though.

Judge 1: 6/10 I love that you picked an interesting theme for the house. The house definitely has a plantsim vibe. The orchard area is cute. I especially like how you arranged the large plants under the tree. However, while I like theme, I think this house doesn't quite work. With so many lively patterns and odd shapes, it’s a little bit busy looking. Also, the brown siding and roof are a little bit bleak and the windows don’t match the house. It is a cute idea to put a tent in the yard. Also, I love the look of the tub and sink in the bathroom together.
Judge 2: 7/10 It is hard to make a home for a plantsim that is still "judge pleasing", lol, but you've done pretty good. The bevy of patterns area bit too much for me, very busy. I love the landscaping and bathroom fixtures, though I'm not keen on the wall/floor combo in the bathroom. I understand the vibe you were going for there, but I think I would have liked it a bit better if it was a floor with smaller stones. Lovely job with the terrain paint.
Judge 3: 6/10 Obviously not a style that would suit every sim, but does work very well for the plant peoples. I love that you went with a thatched roof and have different areas in the landscaping. Did Rose bump into Mr. Jones at the circular window store? Hehe! :p
Not very keen on the carpet and wallpaper together, but they give plenty of bright, cheerful color. And, of course, the flowers are beautiful. I love how you look at these properties in such a specific sort of way and the stories you give the families - I don't want that to change, but I see this section of the judging criteria as the typical estate agent "how easy would this property be to market" kinda thang, so...difficult balance between this and making it suit the family.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 8/10 Sim routing should work well. The rooms make sense. The yard looks a bit awkwardly clumped together in different sections and the hallway area is kind of empty.
Judge 2: 9/10 The fact that you put the kitchen in the large bedroom really opens it up! Great thinking! I don't like that there's only one tile between the door way and dining chair though. And some sims are stupid occasionally and might get stuck between the plant and their chair, and maybe the counter too. (Just a question I was pondering just now, didn't affect your points, was just curious, lol. Can plantsims woohoo? I know they don't need to, as they reproduce asexually, but can they, for fun, wink, wink)
Judge 3: 9/10 Just a little niggle because of how stupid sims are, they could find themselves stuck next to the potted plant if they get up from the table on the wrong side of their chair...drives me mad when my sims do that, because it's not everytime!

Judge 1: 13/15 The house has a ton of flower stuff inside. It also looks very casual. There are some flowers outside, but I would like to see more. The house is a bit gloomy, but it’s also very trippy looking, so I think it looks like a happy person lives there.
Judge 2: 14/15 I'm sure she is very happy there Very natural and "planty." I don't know if you intentionally left out a ceiling or not, but I think it makes her even happier to have more space above her when she's inside.
Judge 3: 13/15 Rose loves plants. She is happy and easy going. Not too concerned with material things, she's happy as long as she's surrounded with flowers.
Well, as either a plantsim or not, it is a very pleasant, usable home which meets the needs of both species. You've kept it natural and quite minimalist (the TV and radio look like they could have been picked up second-hand, so not too flashy). I just would have liked a bit more in the way of actual flowers outside, though you have a good amount indoors (esp in the lounge area!), but the hallway part looks very empty of them and the kitchen/diner too.

Judge 1: 8/10 Nice job on the landscaping. I’m impressed that you've managed to make a very symmetrical and ordered flowerbed arrangement look so interesting. That’s hard to pull off. The symmetrical look also matches the trailer park look of the house, which is neat. The inside of the house is nice. I especially like the bedroom. However, I think the kitchen is a bit plain. The siding of the house is also somewhat plain looking. There a lot of nice little details in the backyard. I especially like the garden tools against the wall.
Judge 2: 8/10 I LOVE the front of this house! The way you broke up the front yard into interesting shapes really helps the boxiness of the house itself. The bedroom is nice, but it just doesn't quite go perfectly color-wise. For example, bright bedspread, muted colors in the border, earth tones on the floral design on the low table (love that table btw). Also the bathroom anf "crafting" room seem drained of color on the walls and flooring.
Judge 3: 7/10 I like the shapes you've made in the landscaping, they add a lot of interest. Inside, you've teamed the bright green walls with very neutral colored furnishings which works well and the opposite in the bedroom, which might have been improved by brighter colored curtains, but I like that you have some repetition of stripes. The other couple of rooms are very plain though.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 10/10 Sim routing should work well. The rooms make sense. The furniture layout is very nice and shows a nice use of space. The hallway area is a little bit empty, but it isn't a big problem.
Judge 2: 10/10 Very nice and open.
Judge 3: 9/10 Everything is nice and clear but I do think it would have been better to move the dining table and chairs down one tile as I can see sims having issues sitting down there with one chair up against wall, and the other against the divider.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 12/15 The house has large flower beds outside, so that great. There are a few plants inside, but I would like to see more. The house looks fairly bright and sunny. I can see it as a happy person’s place, but it doesn’t scream it. It looks just a little bit materialistic.
Judge 2: 11/15 The landscaping is wonderful, Rose would love it. It's bright and fun inside, maybe a tad modern for a non-materialistic sim. There are some flowers inside, live ones and patterns, but not nearly enough. I do like that you gave her flower arranging station though.
Judge 3: 12/15 It is mostly quite cheaply furnished and minimalist but I do think there should be more plants and flowers, both inside and out. There is lots of empty spaces in the plots you have outside where I'd have expected Rose to have shrubs and flowers packed in, but I guess they haven't had time to grow yet

Judge 1: 5/10 I love the patio area. You did a great job creating a sense of an interior living space outside the house. I also like how you've arranged the chairs in the living room. The slanted chair makes the whole room more interesting looking. The brick trim in the front of the house is very nice. I like the way to offsets the rest of the house and adds interest to a boring Maxis design. However, I think the front looks a bit plain and the windows don’t really go with the house. I also think that a lot of the interior furniture looks mismatched. You did a great job arranging the knickknacks on the desk. They look very interesting, yet natural. I love that little area.
Judge 2: 7/10 The outside is nice, love the patio. I'm not a fan of the paneling inside, it's not awful, I just don't particularly care for it. I think the blue of the tile is way too bright for the rest of the room. I like the accent wall in the bedroom, but with a stripe on the wall directly behind it, I don't like the stripped bedding.I like the color scheme in the living room a lot.
Judge 3: 7/10 Inventive idea with the half wall/fenced screen of the entryway. I like the way you've decorated the exterior but not as keen on the interior, though the lounge and bedroom are rather nice. Good touch with the decorative clutter on the table in lounge.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 7/10 Sim routing should be good in most of the house. However, the slanted desk chair will be unusable. The living room and hallway area look very empty. The room organization makes sense.
Judge 2: 9/10 Nice open spaces. The desk is unusable with the chair like that, though.
Judge 3: 9/10 Not sure if you were aware, but you seem to have moved something in the kitchen which altered the counters so they were no longer attached in the corner before you took overhead - obviously like that there would be an issue, but can just about see it wasn't supposed to be that way in your 4th pic. So be careful if you make changes that everything still looks as it should. Otherwise fine...just curious as to whether the tables in the hallway are meant to be like that? They look like the wall has partially eaten them lol
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 11/15 There is a great patio for Jones to play in and the house looks like it was meant for entertaining. However, I would like to see a bit more fun stuff or get a little more of a sense of why Jones wants these fun items. There is a nice work space that looks well used. The house shows Jones’ style fairly well, but I think it could match it a little more. (You wrote a cute story btw. I doubt I would want to live next to the Brokes either.)
Jones 2: 13/15 There are quite a few things to help Steve kick back and relax. He has a nice little office area in his bedroom (would be better if he could use the desk, though).
Judge 3: 12/15 I don't think you quite nailed 'simple but tasteful' and would have been nice to see more of an office and perhaps a gaming system on the floor by the telly? But I think Mr Jones would enjoy it overall, despite that Broke boy!

Judge 1: 6/10 You've created a very homey and calm looking interior. I like how it looks like a house you might see in real life with neutral colors and every day looking furniture. The furniture is also arranged nicely. However, I think the inside could use a few more details. For example, upper kitchen cabinets might add to the room. I also think the front of the house looks fairly plain. In particular, I think the fencing around the porch and the windows don’t really go with this house. I love how the gigantic t.v. looks in the small living room area. It really captures the eye.
Judge 2: 7/10 It's not a bad design, just very bland. The walls are so plain. I think some cabinets and a bit more clutter (with so many counters) would have help the kitchen look less bare.
Judge 3: 7/10 I like how you have laid out the outdoor areas. The interior walls do look a bit plain in places. Nice use of wood. I like that the chair backs match the counter tops. Warm and inviting color schemes.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 7/10 Sim routing should work well in most of the house. However, the beds won’t be usable without hacks. Last round there was no way to get around placing a double bed against a wall, but in this house there is. A lot of the layout looks very natural, but some parts are empty looking and the yard is divided into somewhat awkward looking sections. The room organization makes sense.
Judge 2: 8/10 I don't see the need for Elise to have a double bed. It just hogs up space in a small room. And dining tables in corners can cause problems for stupid sims, who like to get stuck in the corner (wink).
Judge 3: 7/10 Could be a slight issue with the more stupid sims getting stuck in the corner after eating, especially if an adjacent seat is occupied. Gonna stick by what I said to someone else last round, that a 10 year old doesn't require a double bed. With your layout in her room I'm also concerned that she wouldn't be able to get into bed.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 11/15 The house looks very homey and looks like a family lives there. Elise’s room matches her style. I get a bit of a sense of Bill’s style, but I would like to see more. I don’t see any sense of the family’s history.
Judge 2: 12/15 It's a homey house. I think Elise's room could use some work. A few more butterflies, and if it had just been a single bed you could have gotten a doll house or toy box for her as all she really has is the swing set and pool.
Judge 3: 13/15 Well, there's purple in Elise's room, it's girly and there's a large butterfly on the bedspread, would personally have liked to have seen more flutterbyes and also some actual toys though the swing and pool are nice inclusions. Bill's room is more masculine and the whole house feels quite cozy.

Judge 1: 6/10 You created a nice unified style throughout the house. The furniture layout is quite nice and many of the rooms are cute looking. I especially like the bedroom. I love most of the color and pattern combinations and the way you've used them to create a distinct masculine sense of style. I especially like the black modern kitchen cabinets with the brick wall covering and the green walls with the brown furniture in the living room. However, I think in some cases the colors are too bright and repetitive. For example, there is too much dark green in the living room. I also think the front of the house is fairly plain looking. Finally, I love the massive pool in the backyard. It’s very lavish looking.
Judge 2: 7/10 I like that you picked a kind of daring style by going with the tiki theme. I think the front of the house is a little plain, maybe a few more plants, some big ferns or something (some tiki torches would have been cute too). The individual rooms are nice, but I'm not sure they go together as a whole house. The modern kitchen, comfy living room don't really go with each other, or the tiki theme. The bedroom and office go well with each other and the tiki theme though. I love the pool area, very relaxing, like a mini vacation (wink)
Judge 3: 7/10 That is a huge pool - I can imagine plenty of parties being held out there during the warmer months. I like the soft colors with the warm wood tone in the bedroom - it's very serene which is great for such a room. The wall hanging fits in brilliantly and is a nice focal point. The office is light and well furnished. However, the kitchen is a much more urban looking space and the lounge area, although very masculine looking, is a much different style and mixing them in open plan living doesn't really work.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 9/10 Sim routing should work well. Space is used efficiently and the room organization makes sense. The furniture layout is quite nice, but not perfect.
Judge 2: 9/10 The only thing that bothers me is that the only dining seating inside is at the bar. Would have liked a table inside.
Judge 3: 9/10 Really good apart from the bit you made the lounge, it's a really awkward space I know, but you have accentuated that by making it look long and narrow. Oh, just noticed that there seems to be something next to the bath - can't tell what though - would it stop a sim getting to the taps?
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 11/15 There is a nice big pool with pool item for relaxing, so Jones should like that. I would like to see a few more fun items throughout the house. Many of the rooms have a very strong sense of style that matches Jones' well. However, this isn't consistent throughout the house. There is a good work space.
Judge 2: 11/15 The pool area is definitely a nice get away, but there isn't much else in the way of fun. He does have a nice office, though.
Judge 3: 11/15 Lovely relaxing bedroom and a suitable office, the decor is tasteful even if it isn't very consistent. However, there really should be more for him to chill out with, as lovely and big that the pool is, it is still very limited.

Judge 1: 7/10 Good job on the backyard pond area. It’s very interesting and cozy looking. The house has a mellow unified style though out, which is great. The color combinations in much of the house are very nice. I especially like the front siding combination and the repeating wood colors in the kitchen. However, I think the house has too many matching colors or patterns. I would like to see more patterns play off each other like the front sidings do. I also think the front needs more details and the furniture layout is a bit symmetrical. I love how you used a half wall to section off the kitchen. That railing looks very nice there.
Judge 2: 7/10 Some very bold patterns! But I like them, although the wall and couch in the living room are almost too matchy-matchy. I really like the different color sidings, it looks really neat that you used the green as the accent and white as the main. A lot of people would do it the other wayaround, but I think it's very stricking this way. I like the little poppy wall decals here and there. The fence with the flower boxes is very cute, but one the side of the house with the gate, it's backwards from the other side.
Judge 3: 7/10 Would have been nicer if the shrubs were placed off grid to bunch them up a bit tighter and a little less linear but the seated area at the back is very cute. The little pond looks a bit unnatural in shape and placement of reeds. Inside, the decor is very cute, girly and leafy/floral in a more modern sort of country way. I like all the shelves with plants on.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 6/10 The furniture arrangement is visually pleasing. The sim routing will probably have big issues. The kitchen is fairly small and the dining room table is trapped at the end of it. The hallway area is also fairly empty.
Judge 2: 7/10 I really think it would have been better to put the kitchen in the narrow "hall". It's so cramped where it is, especially the table kind of shoved back in the corner.
Judge 3: 8/10 Everything seems to be accessible, but the two objects at the bottom of the bedroom could maybe have been placed less all over one side (and right by the door) and I'm not entirely sure that where you've placed the kitchen is the best that has been seen.

Judge 2: 12/15 The inside is very bright and floral and I think Rose would love it. But the outside is very lacking. The backyard could have been great if you had just expanded the flowers by the seating and pond.

Judge 1: 6/10 You did a great job grouping the furniture in many of the rooms and adding little deco details. This gives the rooms a natural, realistic look. I especially like the bedroom and the pillow area in the living room. The grey color scheme is compelling. However, I think it’s a little bit too neutral and I would like to see a bit more variety. But, generally I think it works. The house also has a lot of interesting CC, and you use them well. I think one area that needs improvement is the front of the house. It’s kind of awkward looking. The design is a bit rigid looking and it doesn't look like a house I would see in real life. I like how you divided the different flooring. The slanted layout makes the house much more interesting.
Judge 2: 7/10 You've made some very good use of BBs Nooks (wink). The landscaping is minimal but interesting, however I think it would be better without the fence across the front because it blocks the curved flower bed under the windows when looking from the street. It's a nice cohesive theme throughout, but could have used a bit more pops of color, like the yellow tile in the bathroom, that was a nice break from the muted tones. Those sushi pillows are really fun!
Judge 3: 7/10 Very smart and pretty landscaping and the house no longer looks like a trailer. A cool, masculine color scheme throughout. Love the fish pet bed but it does dominate a lot of space. I love the brick in the kitchen and the little dining area. I also love the way you've done the lighting in the bedroom
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 7/10 Furniture is arranged fairly pleasingly. However, it does look a little empty in some spots. The living room has only 1 tile strip entry, which looks like it will cause a traffic jam. The yard is fairly empty. The room organization makes sense.
Judge 2: 9/10 Putting the kitchen in the extra bedroom was a good idea. I really like the look of the living room, but it is a bit cramped.
Judge 3: 6/10 In the lounge area, the path round everything is quite tight, also may have been better to move the dining away from the doors. The dart board will cause problems, definitely when in use, but also, do they have enough room to stand behind the white line? One side of the bed is also blocked off.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 11/15 There are few fun items in the house. However, I would like to see a few more. The house looks like Jones entertains a lot, which is great. There is a work space. The inside matches the sim’s style well, but the outside could match better. (BTW, it must be frustrating for Jones to live in such a small house, since he is an architect.)
Judge 2: 11/15 With your Steve being an architect, I guess him having a drafting table shows his work-a-holic side a bit, but I think it's not quite enough. I don't know what else I would suggest for a hard working architect though. Only a couple of things for fun also, although I think having Nemo would help (wink).
Judge 3: 10/15 The decor is tasteful, I like that you had your Steve down as a busy architect rather than some boring office worker, but I'm not sure just a drafting board is enough to show the workaholic - where's all his paperwork? Not sure what options he has for relaxing from work other than listening to music and playing darts though?

Judge 1: 7/10 I love how abundant and even crowed the inside of the house looks. It’s very homey looking. You also did a great job arranging the plants. However, I think the front of the house looks a little awkward and a bit plain. I also think the flowerbed arrangement is a little too symmetrical looking. I especially think that the sunflowers would look better if they were rotated in different directions. I really love the cactus arrangement paired with the paintings of cacti. It’s very creative and eye catching.
Judge 2: 7/10 It's very naturey (yes, I'm making up words now). I think I would have gone with a natural wood finish for the windows and door. A bit too much green, the same tone as the fence would have been nice. The fence color actually plays a little odd as is because the doors and windows are green. The inside is very lovely and well flora-fied (another new creation, lol). I love the look of the living room area especially. The green walls inside are ok, but just a slight pattern would have maybe broke up the green a bit.
Judge 3: 8/10 To me, certainly not the cacti room - I've hated the things since I tripped and fell on one as a kid! But it is pretty...from a distance. Love that you've gone for the natural colors but would have like a little variety in wall coverings. Would have been nice to see a pic of bathroom, as it looks gorgeous from the overhead shot! Nice, natural looking area behind the house.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 9/10 Sim routing looks good. Furniture is arranged pleasingly. However, it does look a bit lined up. Room layout makes sense
Judge 2: 9/10 You did a good job considering that little "hall" room is a bear. The cacti room is very cluttered, but it wouldn't cause too much problems (and I'm sure it's Rose's favorite room)
Judge 3: 8/10 It's not ideal (though obviously difficult to avoid in this property) to have a one tile strip to walk along. Also concerned the dining area could cause problems, as I've had (stupid) sims get themselves stuck when getting out of chairs that are against the wall, particularly if another sim is sat next to them.

Judge 1: 13/15 There are tons of plants stuffed throughout the house, including a really awesome cacti room. It’s debatable if cacti count as flowers, but some cacti are famous for their flowers. The place looks cozy, but a bit somber. There are very few flowers outside.
Judge 2: 13/15 Rose is quite surrounded by plants, especially in the cacti room. I think there could have been a bit more flowers outside.

Judge 1: 5/10 The galley look of the kitchen is really great. The room looks very compelling and the length of the room is nicely offset by the half wall you placed there. The pond/pool object you put in the backyard also looks great. However, I think the interior of the house looks a little busy. There are a lot of bright colors and patterns competing for my attention and the rooms tend to be a little too monochromatic. The stone facade is really creative; however, I don’t think it quite works with this kind of house. I think it overpowers the house a bit. I love the flowers you used in the backyard. They are really lovely and go with the style of the house quite nicely.
Judge 2: 8/10 At first, I wasn't sure I liked the stone siding and stone fence outside, but then I considered the fact that you're British, lol, and began to think about the English country side and decided I actually quite like it (wink). When I broadened my narrow American mind, I think it has quite a nice country cottage look. very The bedroom is very busy, pattern-wise. The bathroom is very blue. I think the stone in the livingroom doesn't go terribly well with the wall paper and flooring, it's a very harsh contrast. But I do really like the stone part, so I would have maybe just tried differtent wall and floor coverings.
Judge 3: 8/10 I love that you have successfully turned a trailer home into a cozy cottage! Not overly keen on the stone wall you've used, but the landscaping is very pretty. Inside, the decor suits the style of the house and is very floral and feminine. Bathroom is very nice, but maybe a few too many patterns in the bedroom?
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 8/10 Sim routing should work well. The room layout makes sense. The furniture is arranged fairly well, but it looks a bit lined up.
Judge 2: 8/10 i love the look of the galley kitchen, but it's kind of tight. And I'm kind of up in the air about the use of the second bedroom, a flower arranging station and a couch...just not really sure I think the need to be in the same room. It just seems kind of odd to me.
Judge 3: 8/10 Difficult with this property, but the long, narrow kitchen is not ideal. Also - bookcase seems to be sitting inside the niche set piece? And a little bit of clipping with the TV/curtain.

Judge 3: 12/15 The flowers outside are really lovely and plentiful, but I don't think there's enough inside for her to be surrounded by them. Judge 1: 4/10 I love the island in your kitchen and the path you've made around your house is interesting. More importantly, you've really improved your building skills this round. This house shows a lot more of a sense of cohesive style, has a calmer color scheme and is more traditional and natural looking. Good job! However, I think you need to keep working on these points. For example, I would love to see you try to build a house with only neutral paint colors. I think it would be a good experiment. Also, I really like the colors you've picked for the plants in front. They’re bright and realistic looking and go well together.
Judge 2: 5/10 The landscaping is great! Especially the back garden. I think the house is still abit dark. Outside, maybe a lighter roof would have helped, since the wall is dark. Inside, The walls are very dark, ans kind of grungy. The counters and stove in this house look very nice with your fridge. And the island and stools tie in too. The bedroom furniture is very mismatched, which can work, but these styles and colors are just way to conflicting. But you have improved tremendously over the course of this contest.
Judge 3: 5/10 A definite improvement - the landscaping is lovely and the mix/match decorating is getting tamed Still some improvement that can be made though.
The brick wall and flooring in the kitchen/diner are both lovely, but maybe not the best match for each other. The other walls are still rather grungy looking, try something cleaner for the other rounds. Lovely carpet in bedroom but try to get furnishings that compliment each other.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 5/10 The room layout picture is really small, so it’s very hard to see where the furniture is. The large island in front of the door will probably cause sim traffic issues. It also seems strange to have so many chairs in a small house. The living room also looks a bit cramped, although it is hard to tell since the picture is angled. The rest of the room should route well and the room organization makes sense.
Judge 2: 6/10 I love the look of the island, but it's too big for such a small house, especially with stools on all sides. With the chairs arranged as they are in the living room, it is a very tight squeeze to get through. I think the shower would work better on the other side of the sink. The rest of it is nicely layed out.
Judge 3: 6/10 Overhead is very small, but certainly the huge dining area is a bit over the top as well as using island counters that can't be used on the 'preparation' side. Bathroom layout doesn't make the best sense and narrowing the long part of the living area with the armchairs. Can't see what's in the extra room other than Mr. Bearly Butts or whatever it's called.
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 9/15 There are large flowerbeds in the yard and the house looks quite casual. However, the house looks very somber for a happy person. There are also very few plants or plant themed items inside.
Judge 2: 9/15 I'm sure Rose would love the garden! But the inside is rather lacking of plants and flowers. Also the dark walls are kind of gloomy for a happy, easy going person. And the tire end tables I don't really think suit her.
Judge 3: 9/15 The outside is great for Rose, but I could only see two plants indoors? Which is definitely not enough to be surrounded. The decor is still the same grunge style that you've been doing, and I don't think it suits this family, but the majority of the furnishings do - just perhaps not the tire end tables? Doesn't seem to be very materialistic, though it is a rather fancy looking fridge - this, I think, is one family you certainly shouldn't have used that one for

Is the design appealing?
Judge 1: 6/10 You've pick a very creative style for the house and I think it goes with the trailer like appearance of the home very nicely. The telephone wires are great. They add a lot of interest and augment the western, rural style you picked. The inside of the house is nice. The furniture matches well, and the colors go together nicely. However, while I like the style of the front of the house, I think it looks a bit plain. I also think the backyard needs work. It’s a little too symmetrical and sectioned off, and while the gigantic waterfall is very creative, I think it looks a little too massive in a backyard. I love your use of repeating patterns in the nursery and the western style crib is very fun looking.
Judge 2: 7/10 You've definitely got that country style that Sarah wanted! I think the front of the house is a little too plaing, with so much budget left over, you could have added more plants and trees. The inside is very nice, but could use some rugs to break up the wood floor, especially in the living room. I love the nursery. Love that set from Parsimonious!
Judge 3: 6/10 It reminds me a little of a farm or ranch house. I like all the wood, but some rugs or a bit of carpet in the living areas would have been nice. I like the water feature.
Does the way the furniture is placed make sense and allow for good movement through the home?
Judge 1: 5/10 Sims routing should be good. The front room looks very empty. Also the yard is broken up into awkward looking sections. The room organization makes sense.
Judge 2: 6/10 It's very open, but almost a bit too much so, the living room is very empty, just a couch and tables. Not a TV or even atleast bookshelves. I almost thought there wasn't a toilet, but I've decided that the little bit of white you can see through that plant in the bathroom is a toilet under a hanging plant. However there's no potty for Daniel.
Judge 3: 5/10 Um, I don't see a toilet?! Or a potty... There's gonna be a lot of puddles and smelly toddler bums... On a good note: nothing seems to hinder the use of anything. But...no toilets equals an epic fail lol
Is this a home the family would like to live in?
Judge 1: 13/15 (Our first house for the Wilson family!) The house is very country looking. It has a big fun filled yard to play in. There is a nice bedroom for their toddler. However, I would like to see more baby stuff taking over the house.
Judge 2: 9/15 While you've definitely given them a country home, I don't think it looks like a home that a toddler lives in, appart from the nursery and high chair. There aren't many toys for Daniel, or for the adults either. Again, no TV or bookshelves for fun. The outside is nice, but not quite enough for a family who loves to be outdoors. Not much for Daniel to outside other than wander around.
Judge 3: 7/15 Apart from the above... More toys for the kid would have been great, as well as some way for him to enjoy the outdoors. You covered Sarah's love of country decor though. However, you don't really seem to have shown why they needed a larger place.

Judge 1: 10/10 (Wow, this house is way under budget. I think the Wilson’s should use the extra money to see the Grand Canyon. )

Round 4 will be two weeks as well. You guys will have to wait till Thursday, assuming everyone's round 3 houses are in, before you get the round 4 lot, because I may not be around much the next few days. But as your getting two weeks to do it, I thik you'll be fine You might go crazy with anticipation, but as I've said, I'm a bit sadistic like that, lol.
