The Mason Family: Bill and his 10 year old daughter Elise have been on their own for a year now. They still miss Ann, but have decided it's time to move away from all the painful memories. Bill's never been very good at decorating and wants to make sure the house feels like a home. Elise loves purple and butterflies. Budget: 50,000.

Bill Mason just knew that he had to get away from the neighborhood where he and Ann started their lives together. Everyone says “don’t do any drastic changes for at least one year”, and now that year is up.
During his travels for the assessor’s office, he stumbled across a nice little home across town. It had two floors, nicely bordered flower beds and, most importantly it called to him! One thing out of all the charm of this house spoke the loudest to him…the small purple-leafed tree in the fenced back yard.
He bought the house as a surprise for Elise and when she saw it on moving day, she screamed in delight! There was purple EVERYWHERE! Their furniture was more modern than the house looked, but seemed to fit well enough. Bill and Elise did little fixing up to the home, wanting to get to know the house first. So the bathrooms and kitchen are obviously outdated, but functional.
Being 10 years old, Elise chose the biggest room, of course! Her transition from fairies and castles to butterflies is obvious in her room, but, hey, they both have wings, right? She has held on to few toys, her doll house, the teddy bear chair, ballet slippers and, of course all her books!
Bill bought a few new items to help Elise feel at home. A play ground set, a lovely fairy statue and an easel with painting and crafting supplies. The latter he placed in the little nook beside the kitchen so they could be together while he prepared meals.
I think they will be very happy here!
