Woo, in before the deadline. Not sure I did the house justice, but honestly, with the week (or three...) I've been having, I'm a little amazed I even got this done! So, here you go (:

I decided to design this house for Rose Gardener. I originally was going to design for the Wilson family, as they have a higher budget and the need for more rooms, but I found myself decided halfway through (isn't that how it always works? haha) that I needed to do this house for Rose. I was inspired by the whitewashed floors, which just scream "summer cottage" at me (:

I always envisioned Rose as a writer and painter with a love for plants and flowers. So I put in a small garden plot, and then her office upstairs has space to write (NOT on a computer, as she doesn't much like technology,) and an easel for her painting needs.
In my mind, the little rose garden is a selection of her award winning roses, that she's been cultivating since her eighth birthday, when her mother passed them down to her.
