Nestled against a mountainside atop a steep hill, the Terrace Vineyard boasts centuries of wine-making prowess. In more recent years, the original property has been renovated into a beautiful home, which still has the capacity to produce wines and to entertain in style.
Terrace Vineyard is situated on rocky terrain, but the soil beneath is incredibly fertile from centuries of growing grapes. Grapes are not the only produce growing at Terrace Vineyard, however. There are a number of pomegranate, plum, and apple trees that make up an orchard dedicated to creating the best flavors. The path to the main house has never been paved, but is now worn dirt and earth that slopes towards the old stairs. Ivy and grapevines cover the house and grow atop the glass conservatory where the homeowners have been known to grow grapes in the winter and have wine-tasting parties. The view is breathtaking, and the house looks charming regardless of the weather.
The ground floor is predominantly wood tones to keep the natural and rustic feel, but the wood is by no means rough. There's a polished feel for the entire house, and a fairly open floor-plan means there is room to breathe. The house itself is full of surprises, with lots of shelving, hidden storage, and surfaces. Because of the location, getting television has been difficult, so instead of televisions, there is a laptop computer with internet access and plenty of bookshelves throughout the house. The house is built for entertaining, and has a bathroom on each floor as well as lots of wine-racks for home-made vintages. Fabrics tend to be in greens or purples to recall grapes, unless they actually picture grapes in whimsy.

Below in the depths of the house are the remains of the original winery. Some of the area has simply been repaired, but there has also been renovation to allow for this space to become an entertaining center too. Featuring a fireplace, lots of wine-racks, a full bar inset into the old stonework, this is the perfect place to really set a scene. There is also a guest bathroom here as well. It is the perfect blend of ancient and modern to create an exciting and cozy, functional space, once again featuring a great deal of storage. The light in the sitting area is meant to represent grapes.

[spoiler=Take the Tour: Upper Floor, Upper Floor Floorplan]
The upper story is dominated by the master bedroom and bathroom, which seek to join modernity with classics and nature to represent the history as well as the future of Vineyard Terrace. The bedroom has a bed which was created to model the twists and turns of grapevines, while floor to ceiling open shelving and wardrobes help to keep the room organized. The bathroom departs from the green and red color scheme, but keeps continuity through the twisting wood features and rolled window coverings. Instead of the purples or greens, the bathroom settles for blues as somewhere in between the two, allowing for a refreshing break from the old color schemes into something new and refreshing for the master bathroom. The window panelling that separates one half of the master bath from the other is reminiscent of the conservatory below. Also on the upper floor is a small home-office for finances, internet access, and an easel for artistic work.
