I just added those several items. Let me see if the train still comes? I did not have to use any cheat to edit it. The city looks pretty darn cool, I mean darn right cold, in winter. Brrrrr.
edit: train came
Then changed to a festival lot zoning and a train came. I did not add the marker though and use it.

Those are great! I had the same problem with the lots I've made too though. They look too clean and new. If you're going to upload them maybe you could have a furnished and unfurnished option? Then people could decide whether to use them as residential or commercial buildings.
I did some building and some altering of other lots. Pics under the spoiler tag.
I built this as a bar. It really needs more signage though. The bar is downstairs. The part at the side is supposed to be like a commercial unit and there are apartments above, which of course can't actually be used as apartments. Maybe I could put a dance floor or some karaoke upstairs instead.
I also built the building next to it with the blue siding, but I didn't like the way that looked. I redid the front of it in brick instead. I still think it's too clean looking. And maybe I should have only built half a building and placed a shell next to it. I do love the security bars over the downstairs windows though. The front door opens into a hallway that leads to two apartments.
Houseof48Sims redid the interior of the Rosswood. I downloaded it and placed it in the world, but then I decided to place it again, on Bradford Ave. I decided to use the two upper floors to make one family home, and stuck this family with four kids inside. It looks pretty good from the front, but it's a skinny lot, so there's a lot of empty space in the back. I might put another shell there, facing the street since it's a corner lot. I think I must have moved one 'dirty window' panels up onto the roof so I'll need to go back in and move that.
I also placed a second copy of one of MsPoodle's Bradford Ave. lots at the very end of the street, but I repainted the outside and deleted the coned off section, so no one will ever know it's the same lot. I suppose I could have changed the shell building next to it, just for even more variety. I can't seem to get rid of that weird bit of wall at the corner. It looks like a bit of baseboard. Let's just pretend it's one of those signs with the street name on it... Jack and his parents (who both dislike children) and grandparents have moved in. There are three bedrooms, so room for all. Grandpa has a tiny vegetable garden in a walled off area out the back.
This is another lot I made. Again I think it looks too clean and new. Maybe I should get rid of the siding? Originally I just furnished the downstairs and one floor upstairs, but then I decided to move a larger family in so I had to furnish the top floor too.

I got bored of building and decided to move some sims in to see what the world was like to play in. One thing I've found is that if sims have jobs that are located in the subway, it takes them a long time to get there and they end up being late for work. I also had a weird glitch with the school. I have pics though! (Just thought I'd edit this in. I've found a lot of wildflowers spawning in the back alleys, which is nice! And there's also a lot of creepy paparazzi lurking in the alleyways, even though I have celebrities switched off.)
I really have to stop playing the sims now and do some normal human stuff. Like clean my house.
If you find any more cool Boroughsburg stuff or have any pictures to share please add them here, I'd love to see. It's such a photogenic world!
Justin does some evening yoga on his roof terrace. I don't think he has the best view from here. Pretty sure that's the library.
Donna decides to be a good mother for once and make some pancakes for breakfast for her sons first day at school. Unfortunately she's not a good mother and the pancakes weren't ready by the time the school bus arrived.
The school bus drops the kids at the side entrance to the school, rather than out the front. Look at that shoddy parking though!
Sabrina and Arianna look on in horror as this game made creation turns up to school. Her legs are square and her arms look like flippers. This picture doesn't really do justice to the horror.
Here's the glitch. All but two kids had gone inside the building and then for some reason the building ejected them out the back doors (the odd bits of playground equipment were added by me. I probably could have done it a bit more tidily. I also put soccer nets on the grass at the back). Some of kids sat around and started doing their homework (probably their undone homework from the previous day...) I directed my sims to go back into the building and a few seconds later, most of the others followed suit and they all lined up for round two of getting inside. They all finally got inside and seemed to stay there this time.
Donna shows that urban farming is actually a thing. Maybe she should get a few pots or even old tyres to grow some plants in. A few raised beds? She's bad at taking care of children so I doubt she is going to be any good at taking care of plants.
The bar I built proved very popular. Even with the toddlers.

It looks like you both are having a great time playing this. There is a lot of potential if the time is taken to work on this world.

^ ^ Once you download a world, you’re free to tamper with it any way you like. Don’t worry about the creators sensibilities or vision. it’s your game, customise it as you see fit.
On the topic of dropping lots down into Boroughsburg, I find that in this hood in particular, it’s almost pointless. They won’t fit the surroundings as good as builds that are designed for it specifically.

I finally got around to uploading some of those lots, (though MTS only allows 2 uploads at a time) the others are done too, and I will upload them as soon as the first two are accepted.
Is it odd that the part that I was stuck on the most was thinking of the names and descriptions for them?

Not anytime soon, unfortunately, as I have too much on my plate atm.
If anyone is interested, I could use some of the lots people have worked on here just to get a head-start in filling in the city.

What have you guys done with the Moshe's Broadway Deli? (That unfurnished little community lot with the colorful 7/11 stripes?) I'm thinking about furnishing it to become something useful, but also something not so obvious (like a consignment store), I would prefer a more unusual assignment.

This world is amazing! Thank you so so soooo much for sharing this piece of art <3
It loads very quickly and runs smoothly on my computer.
It's got the perfect size. I do not play often with horses, but i do like 2 or 3 in a town, and even though this world is small, i will be able to build a farm (:
The sounds in the background are really really nice. I cannot find the right words to describe how aaaaaweeeesoooome this world is!

Yes sure, never heard of those special... city horses? they love to...stay still and look around... i think.
I am still using your reshader, thanks a lot :D
Hmm first, i thought, it would be a bit complicated to put all those packages in the right folders, but it was a lot easier than i expected. I tested this world for a while in livemode and it's working fine (:

Thank you! I'm definitely trying to build up a collection of lots that I can start placing into the world, and there's been plenty of great lots that I've snagged already!

The world has all spawners from Basegame up to Late Night, as those are the base requirements for the world.
Spawners farther away from lots are more valuable.
