I had my first exam today and did very well. Only seven more to go :P
I also got my hair cut, I'm loving the smell.

(This was last night rather than today)

One of my managers said "Ya know, I love working with you, Emily. You're so agreeable and you never complain." A few minutes later, she said "You know, [main manager] is looking for another key (aka manager). I don't know what she thinks, but I think you'd be good for it."

I just kind of shrugged and did kind of an "I don't know" but the idea of it flattered me and I'm glad my hard work is being recognized, especially since I've only worked there a year and this is my first job. I don't think it'd work out because I plan on going to school full time (eventually) and working part time. But thinking it over last night, I think if the main manager personally asked me, I think I'd accept (how can I pass up a promotion?).

English pronounciation:

I take it you already know
of tough and bough and cough and dough?
Others may stumble, but not you
on hiccough, thorough, slough and through.
Well done! And now you wish, perhaps,
To learn of less familiar traps?

Beware of heard, a dreadful word
That looks like beard and sounds like bird.
And dead; it's said like bed, not bead.
For goodness sake, don't call it deed!
Watch out for meat and great and threat,
(They rhyme with suite and straight and debt)

A moth is not a moth in mother,
Nor both in bother, broth in brother.
And here is not a match for there,
Nor dear and fear for bear and pear,
And then there's dose and rose and lose --
Just look them up -- and goose and choose,

And cork and work and card and ward
And font and front and word and sword.
And do and go and thwart and cart --
Come, come, I've hardly made a start.
A dreadful language? Man alive,
I mastered it when I was five.

I go to the same coffee shop fairly often and, when I ordered something today, the cute barista didn't ask for my name like they usually do; instead, he wrote it on the cup right away. I asked him how he knew what my name was and he said, "You're so pretty. How could I forget you?" Such a sweetie. Why is it that I love flirting with and being flirted with by random strangers, but I tend to pass on flirting with boys I actually know?

I passed all my classes, so at the very least I have a degree. I get my overall result next Friday though, so I won't know how well I've done until then.

I feel I'm getting better at rolling my r's. Saying things in Italian is just so fun. And I read a small, generic conversation in Italian without needing a translator. :D

^ Indeed it is, just not with a stutter. I'm thinking I should learn how to properly speak my own language before attempting another XD... ah well.

EDIT: Hmm, well, I just saw someone spell 'hoard' as 'whord.' Perfect example of why spelling is useful..!

Well what made my day was well um... I did play the sims 3 but didn't really have something or someone make my day... Well what about yours? I didn't really like my day though but on the bright side I got my sim a gun mod...which is cool because I made him look kinda dangerous. Haha! But that doesn't really matter about my day...Does it?
