Daredevils still last 2 hours, because, well, Daredevil is underpowered, could use the edge.

In Sims 2, you would not be 100% sure that a Sim would make it to old age. In Sims 3, most if not all of them do. The only instant killer I can think of is the meteor.

Why this mod? Because playing perfect families gets dull after a few years.

This. Very much.

Something I'd like to see is, since the feature of buying clothes vanilla, after you shower, changing into one of your 3 casual outfits, or if you go to the pool, it changes randomly into one of the bathing suits you selected, stuff like that, for each type of clothing. So you'll have more variety. In a ideal world where you could buy your clothes for your sims without mods, what would happen, in my head at least, was that it would change randomly into the clothes you own.

Great idea, I just might make that mod.

EDIT: Nope, it turned out to be too difficult for someone at my level of modding, sorry.

Another idea I have for a mod: a disaster system like those in the SimCity games, where disasters can be triggered randomly or by player control. All I need is ideas for disasters. I have an idea for one where every lot in the whole town gets set on fire, but that's all so far.

A "hard mode" mod sounds AWESOME. You're right, playing perfect families does get tiresome after a while.

As much as I hate a easy game, no way I would ever get anything that could destroy the stuff I have spent ages decorating.

I feel stressed just thinking about it

1. A mod that stops sims' needs from dropping, not just making them freeze at the top. I know there's make needs static but when you do that, your sims can't sleep through the night, shower for more than a second, or eat without getting fat. I'd like something like the sims 2's "motivedecay off" cheat.

2. (and I can't believe nobody's done this yet) a mod that lets you set a sim as a cousin/uncle/aunt/whatever. I thought I'd see a million of these since the sims 2's simblender could do that plus the fact that 3 actually identifies how family members are related to your sims.

A map fixer for update borked maps. I have 25 gig to test with. Err Save games. What I mean is the save games files. Everything that was not loaded when I did the update before 39 is saying wrong version and I do not have Supernatural.

Some people have a Guardian Angel, you know a little guy sitting on your shoulder that tells you right from wrong, but mine is an Idiot.

I don't know if this is even doable, but I'd like a mod that completely reworks writing.
It should works like this: first, no more genres, because they are stupid. Real life books are a mixture of genres. Given my username, I can't avoid the pink elehant in the living room: what are the Discworld novels? Fantasy? Humor? Mistery (in the Watch series)? Satire? all of those, and I can't write anything like that in Sims 3.
So, no more genres, there's a list of topics. To write a new book, you have to choose which topics you want to add to your novel. More topics means better payment, but there's a limit to the number of topics that you can safely handle, depending on your writing skill (of course, the higher the skill level, the more topics you can handle). The limit does not forbid you to add topics above the safety threshold, but doing that raises the chances of failure.
Aslo, to simulate the researches that are a large part af a real life writer's job, each topic has a meter that shows the sim's knoweledge of that particular topic. The more the meters of the topics that you put in your novel are full, the higher the chances of success or best seller. You can't choose a topic whose meter is completely empty. When you use a topic for a novel, it's meter is emptied and you have to refill it for the next novel. The meter is filled with normal interactions: for example you hear or tell a joke in a conversation with another sim, and the meter for the humor topic fills a bit. The same when you read books, watch the tv or a movie, visit some public building and so on. Some traits can give a bonus to a related topic (good sense of humor to humor, hopeless romantic to romance, etc.), bonus being either that the meter fills more quickly or that it can never be completely empty.
I feel that the inspired moodlet should give some bonus too, but I can't think of anything. Maybe it should give a small boost to the chances of a best seller?
The Specialist Writer challange of course should refer to topics, not genres. It needs reworking too, because it should be able to recongnise combinations of topics. The bonus for completing the challange can be still related to how fast you fill the meters of the topics of your specialization.

There are mods to put all fish, fruits and veggies in the game in the store, there is treeag's treasure box to get all the collectible gems, metals and rocks. There are even mods that allow you to stock terrariums and birdcages with most of the small pets in game, but there is not (at least to my knowledge) a mod to get all the insects...

I'd love it if your sim friends would visit you without throwing a party. And the main one with me is your Romantic interest should be able to ask you to get married, woo-hoo, I feel like I am doing all the work! Ask to go steady, Ask to get married, Cuddle and woo-hoo MAYBE My sim would like to be asked! Instead of having to make them do it.

I would like to see a new trait and a new LTW.

The trait would be kind of a stronger Couch Potato:
These poor sims get fatter more easily than normal. gaining weight even wihout being Stuffed. Also, they have significanty more dificulties to lose weight.
And the LTW would be something like "Skinny & Healthy": Get one of these sims skinny for at least a week.

It would add a little more realism to the game, as there are lots of real people in similar situations. Heck, there are even reality shows about that! :p

I'd like to see a same sex pregnancy mod similar to what Lostaccount's and BaXim's mods were: working exactly like opposite sex pregnancies, simply try a baby available after reaching 'extremely irresisteble', then woohoo action in any of the available spots, with initiator of the action becoming pregnant. Action also available on beds, showers and other locations.
There is woohooer, but it is only a side feature of it, with some of the features being non turn-offable.
I just want to play my lesbian families =(

I would like to see a restaurant that is not a rabbit hole and a school would be great. I couldn't find a school that was updated and the expansion packs I own are Ambitions and Late Night. It would also be great if instead of directly buying furniture, you would have to buy furniture from a store.

i would adore a "ghosts must obey the boundaries of walls and doors" mod. it wouldnt be terribly realistic, but itd keep them out of the damn house. and from eating all of my sims' food. D:<
to be clear, i like ghosts. i just dont like when theyre constantly taking up space, eating every bit of food in the house, and occupying every bathroom that my living sims need to use. then theyre a pain in the ass. and since its not like theyd die, i want something thatll just keep them confined to separate, specific areas.

also, something of a multi-lock-applicator mod would be sexy. i hate having to choose between ONLY that sim, ONLY the entire household, ONLY pets, and ONLY everybody who ever lived.
ive had to start using 2 fucking gates in my horse enclosures just to keep the horses inside and the strange people who constantly spam desires to molest them, outside. its annoying as balls.

Did you have UNI patch? You know, patch 1.50? You can now lock doors specified to the Sims. Now you can lock out your wife and grandma while everybody else can get in. Otherwise, try MODoor. http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=485201

I want a mod that brings back TS2's Vacation Day system, and the ability for Toddlers to ask for attention like in TS2, 'cause otherwise they tend to just sit on the floor, doing a spot-on impersonation of a ham sandwich.

I believe SimsMX once mentioned considering this idea, possibly around the time the Store baby monitor came out if I remember correctly. The only thing that might be a bit difficult when making such a mod would be figuring out a custom animation for a toddler asking for things, though I do have a suggestion that might be possible: Perhaps use the beginning of the animation for a toddler being handed a bottle, where it reaches up with both arms and babbles a bit? Animations for rejected requests for attention when interacting with sims that have Dislikes Children or other negative traits, of course, would be easier- just apply the upper body animations from a toddler whining in a stroller to a sitting toddler, similar to the custom animation for eating from pet bowls in Toddler Interactions.

On the subject of toddler mods, by the way, I have a couple of my own questions for anyone who can answer them:

- How easy is it to mod in a relationship impact for interactions that don't normally have one? I always found it a bit odd that stealing candy from a baby or toddler didn't lower the relationship value- even if we are talking about a life stage that doesn't really understand the world around them yet, you'd think they'd still start to resent that asshole stealing all their stuff after a while.

- A common complaint about TS3 toddlers is that they don't autonomously use toddler objects as much as TS2 ones did. Does anyone know anything about altering the attraction values for objects to make sims use them more? I'm wondering if altering a few values in Retuner might serve as a way to make toddlers wander over to objects and play with them autonomously much more often, and thus need a bit of advice on A: what values to change and B: what they should be raised to.

(By extension, would it be possible to alter similar values so sims with Dislikes Children don't autonomously interact with babies and toddlers? By default, they seem no less likely to than anyone else even though they get a negative moodlet from doing so, which seems contradictory)
