Default How can I make my old lots work?
Hello,

I've reinstalled my computer and backed up my documents/the sims 2 folder. Unfortunately, I couldn't make my old neighborhoods work, so I want at least copy the houses from the neighborhoods/n001/lots (from the backup) to LotCatalog (created by the current installation of TS2) folder so that they show up in the game and I can use them.

I open one of the lots in my backup documents (for example n001/lots/N001_Lot268) in clean installer, click Install, it says "files successfully installed", but I can't see it in the catalog, anyway. Can anyone help me? Please

As far as I know, you cannot use the Clean Installer to install lot package files. When I try that, nothing shows up in the window, which means that the Clean Installer cannot find anything to install. However, the Installer will allow you to click on the Install button and will successfully install nothing, which is what you're asking it to install.

Because of that, this is not the correct location for your question.

I've tried to give you better information about both restoring from backup and copying lots into the LotCatalog in the other thread:

Please don't post the same question in multiple threads. Just be patient and people will try to answer your question, or direct it to the appropriate forum.

Thanks for the reply.

I've solved the problem - I've just copied the files from n001 folder to lotcatalog folder and renamed them to the "cx" format.
