Default New graphics card issue: No shadows in map view. Graphicsrules file problem?
Hello!

I've got a new laptop, but I'm having some issues with the graphics. I suspect it's related to my editing of the graphics files.

Firstly, here are the relevant details from the DeviceConfig file:

My laptop seems to have two graphics cards listed under "display adapters." (Also, not sure why it says Windows 8, I have Windows 10.)

Of course, the game didn't recognize my graphics card, so I edited the GraphicsCards and GraphicsRules files. At first the graphics were really bad, with blurry writing, bright washed out appearance, poor textures etc. I updated my graphics drivers to try and solve that problem. It still didn't look as good as I believe it should, so I then tried to mess with the DPI settings (which didn't seem to do a lot). I also noticed it looked better in windowed mode than fullscreen mode. I then tried editing my laptop settings to specify that it should use my AMD Radeon 6600M graphics card to run The Sims. I feel like this may have helped, but not 100% sure at this point.

I've compared the graphics on my PC and my new laptop, and the most noticeable difference is that shadows aren't showing up on map view, even with the graphics settings up full. I suspect this may be down to my editing of the GraphicsRules file? When I edited it, I just added in my graphics card to the Uber section. I wasn't sure I even did that correctly, but it does show as Found 1 Matched 1. The instructions I followed mentioned that they added their card to more than one line of the GraphicsRules file, but I didn't really understand how or where I should do this.

Could anyone help me correctly add my card to the GraphicsRules file? Or, if you believe there might be another issue, please let me know!

Thanks in advance.
