The Progress is Key Legacy Challenge
After years and years of saving up, you've finally done it - you've gotten enough money to move to the city of your dream, and even buy a (structurally questionable) shack. You've barely any money left, but you don't let it dampen your spirit - you immediately find a newspaper when you see it: a wanted article with your dream job. You know it will be hard, but you know you'll be everything the world said you never could - successful! The premise of this challenge is that your sim has just moved into a town of your choice with nothing but the clothes on their back and a potentially hazardous shack to their name. Before your sim dies, they must have reached not only the top level of their career or profession, they must have maximized two skills, and raised a child to do the same for ten generations.
--
Rules:
There is no cheating in this challenge, aside from the obligatory resetsim and move objects on. Mods that allow for things such as increased maternity leave are allowed, if you'd like to make the challenge easier.
Your sim must raise at least one child - they can be adopted, but must be a baby when they do. Toddlers can't be aged up until they have learned all three skills, and children and teens must live out their entire childhoods.
You cannot hire a nanny until the second generation!
The next generation doesn't truly start until the previous one has reached level ten of their career and maximized their two skills. The only way to loose is if they die first!
As some supernatural life states age slower, it gives an unfair advantage, so its recommended that if you wish to play as one such as a vampire, you find a mod that normalizes the life span.
How To Play:
Roll for the Career - Your sim must reach level 10 of their career or profession before moving onto the next generation. Using a website such as random.org, roll for your career or profession. The rolls are located below. There are NO re-rolls, unless you roll one you've already done or one that you lack the expansion pack for.
Roll for Skills - Your sim must maximize two skills before moving onto the second generation - one that goes with their career (IE: Sculptor = Sculpting Skill, Medical Career = Logic Skill), And another one you role for, as you did with the career. The roles are below. Feel free to reroll if you've gotten this skill multiple times, if it's the same skill you have with the career/profession, or if you don't have the required expansion pack.
Create a Sim - This sim can be any gender, any appearance, and may have any traits. They should be a young adult. If you have the appropriate mods, you may also have them be a teenager to set up the legacy as if they're a run away teen.
Make The Shack - You may buy any sized lot, but be careful - bigger lots mean bigger bills! On your lot you should make a small shack with nothing more than the cheapest bed, toilet, sink, shower, stove, and fridge. You may have one window, one door, and one light.
Enter your Job - Whether you go directly to the place or use a newspaper, enter your career choice and start leveling up.
Remember to Reproduce - To further your legacy, you of course must have at least one child. All kids' traits should be randomized, and the rules concerning them are in the 'rules' above this section.
Choice Your Heir - You may role for your heir as soon as you choose them, and can have them start skilling up early if you so please. For a more difficult challenge, wait until you have all the children you want, and role for heir once they reach adulthood.
You're free to move lots and update your house as you gain money, and even move worlds if you want to.
