This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Neighbourhood camera HEIGHT
Is it possible to have the neighbourhood camera view much lower down, looking across at something like in live mode?
I need to be close up to objects in the hood screen to place deco very precisely.
I have the lowedeus mod (https://lowedeus.tumblr.com/post/61...sor-as-you-know) but it isn't low enough to the ground.
I can achieve the view I need in tab mode, but not in placement mode.

Have you checked the camera mods available here on the site? There is quite a few of them.
I use this one for that: https://modthesims.info/d/305352/ea...ood-camera.html

(For some reason it cannot zoom right only in the original maxis Downtown subhood)

That one doesn't have the vertical tilt that the one I use has. I think I will just have to get used to maneuvring the camera, which is very tricky with the mod I use but it's the closest I can get to what I want. I can't see anywhere that adjusts height from ground in the text file so maybe that's just not possible.
