This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default skin & clothing [fixed]
This post was originally a totally different topic.

In Body Shop, the body of teens and the face of male teens is white with text; the 4 default skins.
Also most of their clothing and a portion of female adult clothing.

Long ago (on different computers) this was both the main game and Body Shop; but now it is just Body Shop.

It sounds like you have a bad set of defaults in, so the best thing to do is take out your Sims 2 folder from the EA folder in My Doc and then start up the game and see what happens.

Moved the folder then ran both game and program. attempted that several times.
problem still remains.

If moving out the Sims 2 folder from My Doc and starting up the game to gen up new files and the problem is still happening then you have game corruption and a complete reinstall is needed unless you know how to replace object packages.

I don't know how or I would say so.

Some wiki site told that the files from installation can be replaced with their disc equivalents.
would try that tonight.


edit::
edited a few files. replaced the ones that were related to Body Shop.
problem remains.

my sims 2 wont add in skin hair eyes cc but will add infaint beds and other objects

This means the game is trying to call up a texture it can't find though it can find a stub

rest of the game, all skin and clothing are their normal color.

Have you tried deleting the cache files? See the help section here for more details about what to delete. It may not help in your case, but is definitely worth a try.

deleting a number of those files was one of the things I tried. tried again shortly before starting this post.


edit:: when this problem was both game & body shop, editing certain lines in "Graphics Rules.sgr" fixed the problem; yet editing those lines did not fix it this time.

You shouldn't but you can get a fresh copy of it from the game disk. The game will occasionally write over it causing problems. It's best to make it read only once you are sure you have the original version (from the latest EP you have).

I know it has been a long time; problem still remains. I think the problem relates to base game's Sims09 package; that file seems to be empty. long ago the disc became scratched; that file was affected.

Either replace the disc or get the UC version by contacting EA Support, they are still giving it out to those that have a problem with either the downloaded stand alone EP's/SP's or the disk version of the game. If you go EA Support then make sure you tell them your disk is scratched.

Either way will fix your problem.
