Yes and they perform depending of their skill, so 11 tracks for 1 instrument.

If someone wanted to add different performance options, I wouldn't need 11 tracks for each instrument.
Even if it was one, and they all sounded good even if they had no creativity, it would be nice for a change.
More realistically, which would probably suit everyone better, would be to create 3.
Low level for Creativity points 1-3.
Medium level for 4-7
High level for 8-10.
Yes, you would need to do this for all 4 instruments for every new track you wanted them to be able to perform together, and that could be alot. But it doesn't have to be 11 tracks x 4 instruments = 44 different files each time.
3 tracks x 4 instruments = 12 new files. It's not nothing, but maybe someone with musical talent, modding skills and a love for Sims 2 won't be overwhelmed considering it.

I just made a batch of townies and aaaaaaugh I really wish I had a mod that would remove the requirement to have child and teen sims related to an adult in CAS. It would save so much time you have to spend removing relationships.

You first made a sim, then age them down and then make them townie.

You should actually age them down to the age stage just before the one you want them to be, and then use set to birthday and age them up the regular way. Otherwise their data gets set badly and you can wind up with like children getting taken away by the social worker for bad grades and such.

@Lena88 I honestly had not thought of that approach. The big disadvantage I can see is then having to reset their clothes. But I guess you could skip that step in CAS and do it when you're installing them in the neighborhood. Not sure if this is an improvement over just making them family and then deleting all the relationships in Sim Blender, but it's worth a shot!
@kestrellyn Thanks so much for the info, I didn't know that!

There are A LOT of Stories conversions available for TS2, but they can be hard to find because they're scattered all over the Sims community. Here are some that I have in my game:
1. Chris Hatch made the dog shows from Pet Stories work in TS2! Download the .rtf file in the following post and click the links to download this and some other Pet Stories content.
https://modthesims.info/showthread....639#post5628639
2. Lots of stuff from MATY. These things are old and I have not checked to make sure all of the links still work. Several of these were hosted on Mediafire, so grab them now if you want them!
..... 2a. Pescado's "Salvaged Stories Crap" - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,10993.0.html
..... 2b. Argon's "Proper Life Stories conversions (FT and AL)". Beware the electric guitar from Life Stories. It requires a mod to work properly and some people can't get it to work even then. I just avoid using it. (It comes in a big package file with several other items. I'm not sure if the package file would work right if the guitar were deleted from it.) - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,12631.0.html
..... 2c. Devilsrope's "More CS Stuff" - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,11872.0.html
..... 2d. arogers' CS Waterfall - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,11977.0.html
..... 2e. WatersMoon's "CS Items and Replacements - Now with More Stories Items on Second Page" - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,12643.0.html
..... 2f. Richief's "The Great CS Bundle" - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...ic,14310.0.html
..... 2g. Other MATY search results for "Castaway Stories" - http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/s...?action=search2
3. Stories to Sims 2 Conversion Database - https://s22cdb.livejournal.com/
4. The Castaway Stories food stand available from Richief at MATY and also (I think) from one of Talia's blogs is broken. Chris Hatch made a fix for it that's available at the following link. This conflicts with Simler90's "Business Mod". Make sure that Chris Hatch's mod loads LAST. - https://modthesims.info/showthread....160#post5618160
Thanks to Crmelsimlover for sharing these rare Christianlov mods for TS2: Cpack editor with working face DNA fixer and Skin Selector Painting Prototype. Instructions for adding custom skins to Skin Selector at post #5 here. Instructions for using the DNA fixer at post # 2662 here.

A mod that causes an "At Work" (or "Not At Home") icon to appear next to the names of sims gone to work/school at the time you have your sim call a friend. I can't always remember all the days and hours that all sims would be at work, and I hate wasting time dialing only to find the sim not home.

It's my headcanon that sims who become witches later in life won't ever be as powerful as the sims who inherit witch powers. Now that there are mods that make witchery genetic, it would be great to have a mod that controls these limits instead of me having to do it manually.

I’d like more than 4 families in apartments. Maybe up to 8? I saw this amazing castle apartment, that had 7 units— 1 for the king and queen, 2 for other nobility and 4 for servants or guards. I wish I could fill it up with my own sims and play them all. But With only 4 apartments controllable, randomized Goopy townies will be wandering the halls, loafing about.

Unless EA re-releases Sims 2 remaster on Origin and Simtubers start hyping it, we can't expect a lot.
Probably already mentioned but I would like to have something like Basemental mod - alcholism, drug addiction, dying of it, casual sex, drug dealing and other taboo stuff.
Drugs and alcohol cause positive lifetime wants and needs but if your sim does it excessivly he can become a junkie or an alcoholic. When the sim is under an influence he can do things out of your control (like pets) for example puking, fighting, wohooing, making out, skinny dipping, passing out, eating etc. that people do irl. If your sim wants to become clean or sober, he's having a withdrawal therefore needs and lifetime wants will become very low even if you take care of him. They may also have their wants flooded with taking drugs atm. In that period, the only way to boost a sim's mood is to relapse but we don't want that. It may take 7 days to become clean if the sim doesn't relapse in the meantime. There should be memories for that - trying it for the first time, becoming addicted, relapsing and becoming clean. Same for casual sex (try to replace it with drugs and alcohol). It sounds like a good challenge. My idea is based on a smoking mod for Sims 3.
Also a half open world of couple of lots being playable at the same time would be amazing. If an open world mod was able to be made in TS4 it may be possible in TS2.
Edit: Damn, you really don't like my idea
. Sorry if I appeared weird. I'm against drugs and alcohol and mostly straightedge irl but I thought it would be an interesting twist and okay to post since a similar mod is popular in TS4.

I don't know if this exists or not, but I would like to see a mod where teens can get calls from their friends to sneak out; like the scripted event in the Broke household. Outside of that event, it never happens, so I'm under the impression that it's limited to that event.
When a game is predictable, it's boring.
That goes for any medium that isn't life.
That's why The Sims 2 is my favourite sims game.
It has elements of unpredictability and everything feels more involved.
The Sims 4 is another story altogether...

I'd like autonomous "Perform" confined to community lots, and to Sims with at least (say) 5 creativity points. All others should practice!
Before I installed University, my Sims always "practiced". Now, when you invite your friend with zero musical ability round, he'll plonk himself down at the piano with a jam-jar beside him on the floor, and start playing ("performing") abysmally. When he finally stops, he'll look dejectedly in the jar and get upset that there's no money in it. I think some of my Sims would happily pay them to stop!

I thought the "Perform" option only had three styles of music - rock, country, and jazz.

I didn't know they had several different tracks for the "Country", "Rock", and "Jazz" performances. They would always just play the same few riffs, and I would just like to have a few more styles instead of just those three.

A while back, I was wishing there was a mod that allowed sims to sell items to other sims — but they didn’t have to own a business. I imagined something like a rummage sale like they have in TS4.
I found a mod that might work! I’m away from my computer and on my phone do I haven’t tested it yet.
Midge the Tree has a “sell from inventory” mod.

Awesome! Midge makes some of the BEST mods. Gonna have a ball if and when I get the brand new laptop - one with a dedicated graphics card.
