Same until fairly recently. It was playing in Belladonna Cove that got me to start using hood deco. I didn't really give it too much thought, except for trees here and there, but when I was playing the hood (I think it was last year) I got to this point in my story where I wanted to move everyone into new homes. So I did that, going on a downloading and building and renovating spree. Then when I arranged the new houses, I got more inspired to use some hood deco, taking cues from what was already there. Belladonna is one of the few premade hoods that actually makes use of some hood deco and gives you ideas on how to use it to fill up the hood--or at least, it's the only premade hood that I can recall doing that. I know Downtown has a few things here and there, but it doesn't amount to as much scenery as Belladonna. In Belladonna, the game designers decided to use the huge useless empty space of the city blocks (insert rant here) and turn them into alleys and squares and parks. So I got inspired by that, went downloading, discovered Criquette's hood deco, and started decorating. I'll attach some pictures of what I did. I don't think I'm going to keep the hood this way; I'm leaning towards starting fresh and instead of deco, using the Lot Adjuster to place some shops down the middle since I've been playing around with making attached and stacked lots and moving lots off the grid. But yeah, using hood deco can really make the neighborhood come alive and add atmosphere, especially if you play lots with the deco and neighboring lot view on.

Anyway, good call on DeeDee's stuff, PenelopeT; totally missed that. Not that my game needs more cc, at the moment, but how can I not download it?

And some finds of my own:
moocha-muses converted pepperoni-puffin‘s Glamper Set for those who want to try making their own food trucks
Shastakiss resized some mirrors and things so that they don't bleed into the walls
Military Jacket by MDP :lovestruc I love that sim guys have so many options now! Seriously, for anyone still struggling to find everyday clothing for guys, MDP, DeeDee, and RentedSpace/SerenityFall should be your first stops, especially if you love Maxis conversions.

Phantomknight, we never need more CC, but let's be honest, we always want more CC.

I like all that space in Belladonna Cove because it leaves plenty of space between the houses for Criquette's streetcar tracks.

I do like the good ol' fugly bedding. I actually use them a lot. Maybe I'm a weirdo.
But it's good to have some nice & unique bedding for sims who can afford it. And that download also has quite a lot of colors, I see.

Oh, that's another good idea for the hood, thanks! I bet I could still fit some tracks and at least one row of shops between houses, though. That square is frickin' huge.

ETA: All this talk about hood deco made me remember that I was having trouble placing some deco over lots. I had the Neighborhood decorations can be placed anywhere mod, but realized that it wasn't updated. Well Zazazu over at MATY did updates for AL, FT, & MG.

Simfileshare is currently down (I think for 2 days?) because of maintenance (high traffic etc, they're working on servers so it won't be slow and laggy how it was recently). There was a warning about this before they turned off their site.

The Sims 2 Living mod on paysites must be destroyed has what I've been looking for for so long: a mod that removes the love requirement from woohoo.
Now my romance sims can finally have casual "relationships" without falling in love with every townie in the game.

That mod is so under the radar and shouldn't be , see last post here http://www.modthesims.info/showthre...25#startcomment , looks like my link still works , but the Booty has been wonky for me for a day or two.

Thank you so much, MOOKIEBLAYLOCK! <3

I don't want teen pregnancy in my game (maybe it's because I'm a high school teacher IRL, haha) so this is the kind of mod I would have never checked out.
But there are some pieces there that are extremely interesting. One is the no-love requirement for whoohoo (also no crush requeriment, but I think a crush would make some sense even for my most promiscuous Sims) and the other one is the night school for teens (which would allow them to have full time jobs) so I'm gonna test if they work on their own.

Thanks youuuu for sharing, guys!

So does the no crush/love work for other age stages then?

The previous comment by @sugoisama seems to imply so.
And it appears that there are some tuning files in the zip that might apply to other stages, since the word "teen" is not mentioned in those, but I can't be sure until I test them of course. Worth trying, isn't it?

A person by the name of Lucas made a bunch of objects and mods, one of which is a mod that allows sims to "go on vacation" in their car and stay away until you cancel the interaction!
I looked all around for a hack like this back when I wanted some teenagers to have a party while the parents are away, and I finally found one!

There is also School in Shifts by Lientebollemeis, which I helped to test. This also allows teens to take an adult job and still get an education. (You still need Insiminator or the Sim Manipulator or similar to temporarily make them an adult so they can get the job.)

You might like to read my little picture story about what happened after testing sending a child to night school.

Nordic Dining set from PixelSims(find it here: http://thesimsgraveyard.com/index.p...elsims?start=20 )
What's awesome with it? 2x3 dining table? Looks like this is what Numemor mentioned at one of the comments of Numica 2x2 Card Table.

Default Lost and found find
I love this thread as I continually check it to see what you guys have found but now I'll try my hand at participating!
As I pretty much collect all the lost and found maxis stuff for my game I just stumbled on this and immediately put it in my downloads folder! They're Bon Voyage jungle rock nhood deco. Thanks to Liza for reposting this on my tumblr feed ^_^. She/he also has a great collection of interesting beta finds for TS2.
