On the topic of dropping lots down into Boroughsburg, I find that in this hood in particular, it’s almost pointless. They won’t fit the surroundings as good as builds that are designed for it specifically.

I have shared 3 builds I made specifically for this world. They can be found on my tumblr : simsmidgen.tumblr.com

I thought long and hard about the Moshe's Broadway Deli lot. I thought of making it into a functioning bakery/cafe, but in the end I decided that my sims have too many food options already in the world, and I needed to have more careers available. So I threw the Day Spa RH rug down and quickly decorated it (as you will see I didn't even CAS the ugly EA patterns ). I made a funky little hairdressing salon thing and used those EA foot massage chairs, set it to hangout and I cannot believe it's the most popular place in Boroughsburg! No matter the time of day or night, sims are constantly queuing for those chairs, and it's turned out to be a little hub of activity and a great spot for socialising and the occasional fight when sims take too long in the chair

You can see the RH rug on the edge of the pic there. It's only a small lot, but it's worked out really well for me, I have another rabbit hole lot without using the horrible standard RH's and it entertains my sims no end as well as allowing them to catch up on a little sleep Now I just have to CAS those awful colours and make them nice and grungy

It's looking great! I've been also hesitating about a "Salon", furnishing it as a cheap barber shop, I'm just afraid that the AMB makeover station would look too huge for that place (I don't have those EA salon chairs). My other idea so far is an "Arcade" or "Rebel Hangout" with arcade machines for the local youth sub-culture... but I still want to keep the "convenient store" feeling of the place, too... so yes, it's hard to decide.

I love the idea of a cheap barber shop and it would give me a chance to use an animated barbers pole that I have stashed away! All I have to do is to makeover my 'salon' and it could be there! Now I just need to find some Dapper Dan Pomade and I'll be set

I think the idea of an arcade fits the world nicely, but whatever you do with it, setting the lot to a hangout (or whatever suits you) and using a RH rug, means you get a much more useful lot imho

As for the Styling Station, agreed, waaay too big. But there are alternatives to use if you don't mind using CC. Mspoodle made a very attractive one here : http://mspoodleplus.tumblr.com/post...ted-cc-house-of

and there is also one here : http://modthesims.info/d/487120

Not sure yet, I still need to make a film studio shell (aka Silver Cup Studios) somewhere in South Side.

I've made a Sports Bar for Feindbild Ave. It's named as Panapaca Pub and based on the Miss Favela in Williamsburg.

The city is gorgeous but It's empty (no sims) and hard to figure out. I have it downloaded, maybe some day I will conquer its many challenges lol but for now I'll stick to oakview.

An incredible world, the details! I had a look for about 5 real life minutes and I could spot a helicopter and a Ferris wheel in the distance.

I can't even imagine to think how much effort it took to create custom animated objects for this world. I'm blown away. How many are there? the train, the bridge, the chopper, ferris wheel? or are the helicopter or the ferris wheel objects?

My game crashed when I tried to clone one of the decorative apartment "shells".

Yeah, unfortunately the issue could not be resolved with TSRW so there was a disclaimer put in for it- I would only use the grab tool for shells and nothing else. Other than that, there shouldn't be any gameplay impacts.

The shells can be found in the misc category in buydebug.

Ouch, I'm back. My PC needed to be sent in for repairs due to a faulty motherboard, but it has returned. I only got to upload two of my replacements before my laptop stopped turning on, but I will now upload the rest.

Here are the two already uploaded, if you haven't seen them yet, 1, 2.

Yikes, sorry if anyone lost interest during the 3(?) months I fell off the face of the Earth. Heh..

Has anyone built anything on the 64x64 lot at 22 Newtown street? It wasn't set aside for anything specific and I'm having trouble wondering what to do with it. I have all my commercial lots done and my world is looking very full atm.

Ideas anyone? I'm thinking it has to be something to blend in with the criminal warehouse and the scrapyard.

What about houseboats? Those 3 lots along the wharf, anyone built anything there?

Currently finishing up another, and probably my final residential lot I will share. Just testing it now, pic below, no cc

That lot next to the criminal warehouse? I placed the Film Studio backlot there, a copy of the Bridgeport one. I have no idea if New York has any film backlots at all, but to me, the LN rabbithole looks warehouse-like enough for that part of the map.

Yes, the one next to the criminal warehouse. I put the Film Studio Rabbit hole on the lot set aside for it, a 40x50 lot between Kant Ave and Empire Street, and built around it. I agree, it's one of the only rabbit holes that fits into the world. I also felt the career fit the world well, so I needed it. :D

I tried this world a while back but I took it out when I saw the signs reversed and thought there might be something wrong with it or my computer. I then notice people posting screenshots with reversed signage. So this is just a copyright thing then?

I'd rather have proper English than a poor attempt at Simlish, honestly. There's plenty of Simlish fonts readily available around the web.
