Default Simbology is gone. Thanks for all the fish!
So I wandered over to the Simbology site today, and found this message at that link:

"So Long and Thanks for All the Fish!
Our forums may be gone but our content is not! Please visit our creators' gravestones at https://simfileshare.net/folder/92516/

Thank you to our members and staff for an amazing fifteen-year run! "

I was a bit surprised by how quickly they shut it down. It was only back in January that I had heard about the shut down.

Nevertheless, that's where all the files from the forum now reside.

I shall miss the people there. It was a fun place to hang out.

I discovered this last week, or something like that. I was looking for some mods to fix some minor annoyances (Pet obsession (NoPetObsession), Wants all being hobby based and samey (WantHacks), Smart beds, etc.) and find ACR (at least I think that was on there). Following links to Simbology, I saw this message. It was really nice of them to keep their work archived for others to put in their games, and although I hadn't discovered it until recently, it is disheartening.

When a game is predictable, it's boring.
That goes for any medium that isn't life.
That's why The Sims 2 is my favourite sims game.
It has elements of unpredictability and everything feels more involved.
The Sims 4 is another story altogether...

I'm glad to see that all the mods have been saved, but I still miss the forums. There was a lot of helpful info in there. I hope it's been archived on the Wayback Machine or something.

Last time I checked some files were empty like Tunafish, and other smaller creators don't even have a file.

It was on Wayback Machine when I last checked and the downloads from that archive were working for me.That was less than a week ago when I checked it out.

And now either the link is gone or SFS is down for whatever reason.

It appears to be the latter-SFS is down again. Wish they would get their act together, please.

I'm going to have carefully preserve my mods from there. I have no idea where it all went. Sorry if you hit that link and get the message:

It's back up. I noticed it was down last night (US CST timezone) until around 3:00 am. Went to sleep. Woke up. Checked this thread. Checked SFS. It's good to go. But mirrored downloads isn't a bad idea.

Uh oh! My social bar is low - that's why I posted today.
