Thank god. I refuse to buy or play this game before this issue is fixed

I still have a picture of my Olav in teenager version before the bug, he clearly looked like himself, without square jaw and small eyes. It was the first thing I did after installing the game. Seeing how the different ages looked. I liked the fact that In sims 4 there is(was) more consistency in age transition (Only children lacked of consistency)

I did some testing last night, after initially writing off playing until the possible bug was fixed. Cannot reproduce this or the aging off issue. I did notice that male sims rolled in CAS were pretty homogenous. However, testing aging current children did not result in squinty eyes or lantern jaws. Playing with genetics/spawning a child in CAS, neither of each. Creating a YA sim with huge eyes and a pointy chin and then aging up, down, and around, no morphing. I tried everything on sims of both sexes.

I also tried running a household for three days with unplayed aging off and played aging set to "current household only". Checked ages of sims in another household beforehand. They did not increase in age. I did not try it with aging completely off, though.

I have TS4 through digital download & Origin and am on latest patch level. I don't believe they snuck in another patch last night.

You are very lucky. The majority of people have reported this bug.

I am happçy for you.

It happens to my male sims. Unfortunately, using cas.fulleditmode often crashes my game. It's frustrating to say the least.

Do you have this sexy thing up in the gallery?

Btw, yes, it is a very annoying bug.

My male child Sim just aged to teen. His jaw appears slightly wider than his father's, but not enough to really discern a difference. However, I looked at the randomly generated townies and most of the males seem to have prominent jaws and smallish eyes. Randomizing in CAS shows the same result. My founder Sim's wife has a very short chin and I noticed that many of my female townie Sims do as well. Randomizing females in CAS seems to produce a nearly identical jawline in female Sims. In short, it seems I am not getting very much variety in randomly generated/townie Sims.

Right alright, thought I'd chime in with my findings. I'm not exactly uncovering anything new, but anyway.
Took one of the premades, Soulpatch Jones, and aged him up and down. He has pretty big eyes normally, so it's quite noticable how much they shrink..

Welp, guess I'll be playing with aging off until this gets fixed. I don't want all my sims to look like Rob Liefeld drawings.

Ugh, I hope they fix this soon. Besides the issues with males, I notice when I randomize females, they all have basically the same jawline.

You're right.
Here's 6 randomized young adult female sims. No skips.

I randomized about 10 times more, all had the same jawline.

I really hope this gets fixed soon. It's not as bad as sims 3 where the randomizer was more or less incapable of producing something that didn't look like it had just crawled out of Chernobyl, but... those are some very same-y looking ladies right there.

Yes! I have this problem, except more exaggerated. Far too many of my game-generated female sims (townies, born in game, or made with genetics in CAS) suffer from chin-less-ness. Even when I intentionally compensate by making parents with big chins, the genetics systems still throws out a ton of receding chin daughters.

Apparently. I'm still saving to a new file just in case. I did see what everyone is seeing about random rolls in CAS, though. Very, very samey. It's not something I played with beforehand, though, so I can't speak as to whether that is new.

As an American, I can testify that commonly Americans do not know what English puddings look like. American pudding is flat. English pudding is round. The rounder, the better, presumably.

And it gets worse...if you click on one of the pre-made faces (under "face" in CAS), no matter what the thumbnail of the face looks like, it automatically changes the eyes to those little squinty eyes.

I thought using the pre made faces would temporarily help to get a different looking face, but this bug even messed those up. Ugh.

I'm having the exact same issue, except that it does the freaky face distortion when my Sim changes outfits. In the picture I've attached, the right is formal wear and the left is everyday wear. Ctrl-zing it temporarily fixes it but then the distortion happens again when they change outfits. This has happened to two of my sims, both male.

EA, please fix this soon, this is so frustrating

@lumialover 8 - Holy crap, it's spreading. This glitch is like a freaking disease.

I actually have a theory on what is going on. I think they were trying to do some adjustments so that teens would change more upon aging up to YA, but something went terribly wrong.
I did another test with one of my sims, Ashley Winter, and realized...

If you switched YA and teen around, it would actually make sense. The effect is still too extreme (in this case, he certainly looks better with the jaw/eyes change. But I don't want him to look good), but I'm pretty certain that's the reason all this stuff is going down.

I thought Rob Liefeld was known for overly muscly bodies?

1/8/2016: New avatar! Pre-censored for EA's approval.
3/19/2015: Teens are too close to YAs. EA needs to either shorten the teens, or add preteens and make YAs look older.

He was and is known for many things:

1) Overly muscular bodies (and Sims with maxed out musculature do kind of look like his characters
2) Small feet
3) No color sense
4) Ruining the New Mutants
5) A general lack of proper anatomy in his drawings
6) No Backgrounds
7) Ruining the New Mutants
8) Giant tits and hips on the women
9) Horrible hairstyles and home-made perms on every character

and 10) faces that looked exactly alike on every character.

...oh and he ruined the New Mutants, don't know if I've mentioned that already.

Have you seen his faces? They are square jaw/tiny eyes incarnate.

I dunno. People liked him because his art was different at that time. I think he kicked off the whole Xtreme 90's comics thing, or at least played a very huge role.
But yeah, different is not always good. Though I personally think Greg Land is even worse. At least Liefeld doesn't trace porn for his fight scenes.

I knew I'd seen that facial structure before.. :O (the face in the game is the "bugged" face)

The resemblance is scarily uncanny

oh god
