I would love a search function to find mod not yet active or even to look up a mod by name to turn it On/Off when you have over 700 mods it kinda makes things harder when Adding new ones.

Hi Marvin, thanks for the workaround!
Hi Raxdiam, is there a way to make this problem not happen to begin with?
If the way to prevent the problem is already posted, perhaps it would help to make it a sticky post in the thread if possible?
Even better, the best solution to this problem could be included on the main page:
http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=534991

I've dealt with this problem many times before,

CTRL+ALT+DELETE
Task Manager
Right click The Sims 4 Mod Manager
Expand (When you click Expand it drops down another)
Right Click on the second one
Bring to Front
Maximize

Interestingly, now that I have launched the app once (using Marvin's workaround) and closed it, it opens normally.
In case it's relevant I did have The Sims 4 Mod manager 1.3.1 (Raxdiam) before installing the current version 2.2.0

Try deleting the "config.ini" in "C:\Users\<User>\Documents\TS4 Mod Manager"

It appears that the location entry in config.ini may be one possible reason for the issue (window is off screen):
[window]
location = -1974, -1668

Perhaps the location could be reset to some default like this if found in an odd state?
[window]
location = 0, 0

It doesn't work if the older version is installed, raxdiam page seems to be hijacked ?.

There's nothing that would make the current version conflict with the old. What makes you say my website is hijacked?

Added these two workarounds to the main page.

Thanks for putting the workarounds on the main page. I just used the location workaround again.
Not sure why these values got introduced but seemingly arbitrarily the location updated to this:
location = -32000, -32000

Maybe due to Windows shutting down while the Mod Manager was open?
Either way, if you don't find a bug (that you can fix to resolve the problem) that causes the above location value to appear, perhaps you could have the Mod Manager check the values on start-up and set the location to a sane value like the middle of the screen (or just 0, 0) if either value is grossly negative like this?

Oops! I see you already found the cause (minimized when closing). Thanks!
Note that I hadn't done anything to the app the first time I opened it (I hadn't minimized it since I never saw it in the first place), so my suggestion above for a fix might catch any other aberrations in location.
Note, a revision to my workaround is to simply delete the workaround field, no need to set it to 0, 0

I've used this so much since I got it a few months ago, but now, it isn't working for some reason. When I open it; I can see it open in my windows bar, but the window won't pop up. I've tried restarting my computer and reinstalling and it's still doing the same thing. I don't understand, since I haven't done anything differently.

Same issue as those above. Upon opening the program I receive "The Sims 4 Mod Manager has stopped working".
Received this on two laptops, one with this mod installed back in January. One is a new install.
Old install has a log file but only shows successful installs of mods. Last successfully done on 3/20/15. Nothing else of note inside of it.
No log file is generated AT ALL on the new install. In ../Documents/TS4 Mod Manager I only have the following:
Folder > Mods
Files> config.ini

Contents of the config.ini:

[window]
location = 0, 0
size = 500, 450

[general]
ts4 = C:\Users\removed\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4
autoupdate = true

Again, as I said no log file is generated on the new install of this program.
Both laptops are running Windows 8.1. Tried running this program as Administrator with different variations of compatibility mode and have had no success.

Update: I changed autoupdate to false inside the config.ini file and it works now.
Not sure why autoupdate no longer works, but that seems to be where the problem is
