The fan blades don't show up in the game when I place them in a house, just the center section with the lights.

I really liked the idea, but the fan part did not show up in my game. The lights are really cool, though.

You know, if you want to animate it, you could use the windmill's blades, couldn't you? Although I guess it would be very slow...

I just downloaded it too and the blades don't show up for me either.

I downloaded the fan awhile back and the blades didn't show up in my game either. However, something glitched on the 23rd and everything I downloaded that day had blacked out thumbnails in the game. I tried various things to right it, but ultimately nothing worked. All things downloaded since that day have the proper thumbnails. At one point I removed something from the 3d folder that resulted in ALL thumbnails for custom content being blacked out (although items showed correctly in game) but at that point the blades were showing in my game. When I put the items back in the 3d folder, my thumbnails came back (except for those of the 23rd) and the blades of the ceiling fan once again disappeared. I have no idea which file it was that did this. But I'm downloading the fan again and hoping that removing the old one and replacing it will help.

Replacing the ceiling fan file did not help. Somewhere in that 3d folder is a file that doesn't belong. I guess I'll have to go them one by one. There has to be an easier way!


OK. Second edit. I have fan blades in my game! Yay! Evidently my son who also plays the Sims on my computer was monkeying around with the files and put a lot of downloads into the 3d folder. I weeded them out and it has improved my game tremendously. The thumbnail still doesn't show blades but they do show up in the game. Anyone else experiencing this same problem of no blades might want to check the 3d folder for extraneous material.

Um the fan doesn't apear in my game after I place it in the download folder! Followed instructions! HELP ME plz!!!
