In the last patch (July 9) there was a slight change in the WriteJingle interactions (0x000000000000834E, 0x00000000000083F3, 0x00000000000092D9, 0x00000000000189EC, 0x00000000000189ED); this mod might need to be updated.

Version 7 is now available for the July 9 game patch. Remember to remove an older version of the mod if you update!

I don't know if this is caused by your mod but I have it installed and my sim just got the ability to write songs. After she completed the song it disappeared or didn't show in her inventory so I could not have her license it.

That's a normal part of the game for songs to disappear from the inventory after finishing writing it. She should be able to play the song from the pie menus after it's done. To license the song at the mailbox a sim needs to have skill level 9 for that instrument. SIms can only license one song at a time per instrument, but it will time out after a while (a week or so?) and they will be able to license a different song then.

This needs update after dec 4 patch. For some reason I coudn't interact with the fridge when this mod was active, and after removing it fridge worked again.

Likewise with me, and my sim can't interact with their bed either. In an attempt to find all the patch-broken mods, this was happening with only this mod installed.

Same here, this mod has severely broken the game after the 4/12/15 patch. Bathtubs don't work properly either. Interactions get stuck on the queue, sims driking from invisible glasses, sims eating from invisible plates, sims stuck not interacting... and so on. As soon as I removed this mod (after like 20 playtest trying to find the culprit) everything started to work normally again :P

Just here to further confirm that this mod needs an update. With it in my game I cannot get my Sims to do anything other than "Go Here". The commands just hang in the interaction queue.

I downloaded your mod thinking it would fix it where the Sim never finishes writing a song with the violin. I have enabled scripts in the option menu. The script is causing the game to run very very slow to a point where the sims wont respond to anything. After I remove the script the game runs fine.

I'm back to modding TS4 for a while at least, and this will be one of the mods I'll look into updating.

The mod has been updated to version 8. A seemingly minor change introduced by Maxis with the Dec. 4 game update created a bug with instruments that somehow ran amok and infected fridges, beds, and more.

The new version has been tested with the latest (version 1.14.49.1020 - January 7, 2016) game patch.

I rarely play musical Sims in my game and so haven't really had chance to see if this is still working. Does it need an update for the most recent CnD patches?

I think some of the bugs it fixed have been fixed in the game already, not sure which ones. Tbh I haven't had much chance to look at everything yet, but I wouldn't suggest using it until it's updated. I'd be willing to bet it breaks some things due to changes in the XML specs.
