What do you mean your sim pool is empty? Have you loaded a neighborhood? Are you looking in the Sim Browser?

Well.. I loaded my neigbourhoud Pleasantville which I have under the name Georgia, then I loaded Sim surgery and then there where no sims that I could choose from to change. On top it says Sims Pool so that's why I called it sims Pool  I hope someone can help me.

Okay It's fixed now. Just a question: Can I give my townies new names and interests as well when doing surgery?

No. For that, just edit their Sim Descriptions.

is it possible for you to edit bartenders and such in nightlife? because i wanted to do a story and make my Sim meat a bartender, i was just gonna use the debugging mode and make a Sim dress like and pose as the bartender, but if i can make the bartender cute that would be easyer, is that possible?

Yes. Use the method described by Grapholina.

I have a related question -- if I were to use this method to change the NPC's on a lot, and then packaged that lot, would the same NPC's be in the game of those who downloaded the lot?

Um...

Thats a bit complicated. If they reside on the lot, then yes, they will be avaliable as seperate sims, not replacing any version in the new neighborhood. If they in the memories of one or more residents, then they will be included as unlinked sims with no character data, basically useless. Other than that, no, they will not go with the lot.

I may have missed this in the 5 pages here, so forgive me if this is a repeat. Now we have a new version of SimPE that works with NL and all, is there still the problem of the new Sims reverting back to their old clothes, etc?

Thanks,
Tracy

I tried it but as I object to the maid wearing that daft uniform I did what I did with the maid in Sims 1 and dressed her in ordinary clothes. No cheat codes just body shop and dressed her up and then into Sims 2 to import them (I made 3 maids) into a family.
Used SimPE to change the maids clothes and features to use the new maids to overwrite the old maids. Then into the game.
She turned up as usual in her van in the the maids uniform.
Later on got her to move into the house and the clothes I put on her suddenly appeared.
Anyone got any ideas how to dump that uniform?

i tried both solutions and they keep coming back in the stock uniforms and hair. perhaps i put your hack in the wrong place? i put it in the downloads folder and yet it seems to do nothing. i have no expansion packs, just the regular sims2 game. there must be something i'm not doing correctly. does some cheat have to be on for the hack to work? i'm somewhat new to all of this, and i'm amazed at all of the crazy options on here.

Did you preform the surgery after you put it in downloads?

that appears to be the answer, although i have one stubborn sim who won't follow directions. perhaps it is the outfit itself that is the problem.
thanks for the tip, more experimentation to come...
