So since Bandizip turned to adware (eugh), I've switched to PeaZip for most day-to-day stuff. (Still use 7-Zip for the more intensive archiving tasks.) It's nice and supports RAR5.

I have to second the love for the slower cleaning mod--that is a super awesome mod and now my sims are actually gaining cleaning points. In an unmodded game, learning cleaning autonomously is super difficult. I'm pairing that with some mods I found in XPTL's archive (link in my siggy; look for the skilling mods rar): Check Self Full Fun Plus Increases Cleaning Skill, Dispose Diaper Visitor Enabled Plus Cleaning Skill, Make Bed Increases Cleaning Skill, Put Toys Away Increases Cleaning Skill, Sink Wash Dishes Increases Cleaning Skill, and Use Dishwasher Increases Cleaning Skills. (There are actually a bunch of mods to increase various skills all over the archive, but I find that with some of them you have to decrease the rate of skill gain so it isn't too cheaty. And the No Pet Food for Toddlers mod I was talking about earlier is in there as well.)

And since we are supposed to be sharing what we found (which, thanks for the reminder Rosawyn, I did totally forget which thread this was, ), I'll link to some wading pools by 2Fingerswhiskey: https://2fingerswhiskey.livejournal.com/161154.html, which increases body and should increase hygenie as well. Echo has a smaller one here on MTS that doesn't increase body. It's another one of those pet item vs toddler item things; yeah there's Frac's bathing instinct puddle but there's also kiddie pools for your normal/well-to-do families.

Cyjon also has a slow LTA gain mod (http://cyjon.net/node/404) and I have no idea what the differences are between the two mods, but you only need a slower LTA mod if you have FT. The Fragile Permaplat mod (http://cyjon.net/node/345) only requires university so anyone who finds permaplat uninteresting should probably consider sticking it in their game. I enjoy the added extra challenge of "permaplat" no longer truly being permanent.

I'm debating on that fragile permaplat from cyjon, they said you need either the slower LTA gain or LTA platinum fix alongside the peace of mind fix. That's been confusing me for a while because if I use the fragile permaplat by itself will it be buggy?

Not so much "buggy" as I understand it, but it will just break all your newly-permaplat sims within the first hour of achieving that status. I use the LTA platinum fix myself, mostly because I've never noticed the LTA meter filling too quickly. I've had very few sims go permaplat at all and I think only one form LTA rather than completing their LTW. Edit: Well, you do need the peace of mind fix regardless. Apparently without that one, wishing for Peace of Mind from the genie will give your sim LTA credit for maximizing a business. Weird bug, tbh. I suppose if you never interacted with genies or at least specifically avoided that wish, you'd probably be fine? But I personally wouldn't want to risk it.

I never used the genie even though I got the lamps a few times in the past. I'll continue to ponder on this though, my sims don't achieve permaplat status that often unless they reach the top of their career, which takes a long time regardless

Maybe I use that one then, didn't know there were two, I just googled Slower LTW. And yes Free Time is needed, it's the FT meter platinum.

Thanks for that Fran. Back in March in the Mods You'd Like to See thread, I'd mentioned I'd like to see Secondary Aspirations taken into account in attraction between Sims. Eventually I decided that since I could find no other mod that did that, I'd try to make one myself.

EDIT: With Pescado's permission, a version of his RomanceMod with Secondary Aspiration Attraction included in it is now available at the above link for those interested in having both functions.

Criquette is working on a new decorated neighborhood named "Feverfew". It isn't finished yet, but Criquette has made a custom lighted and animated horizon for it (not yet available for download).

Maybe this is actually well-known, but I never would have found it if not for gawking delightedly at the Story of New World neighbourhood and reading its comments -- there is a catalogue of downloadable neighbourhoods! I knew about some of them, but not all, and not the variations they come in or their exact expansion and CC reqirements. I know for a fact that some of them are of dubious stability (Magic Town is an unfortunate example), but it's good to see them all lined up together!
