Still not crazy about Stealers Wheel overall though.

My music choices are typically mood based. If I have something on my mind that I don't feel like talking about it, I find songs that expresses how I feel even though my thought process on the subject may not align exactly with whatever the song is.

The parody stuff I listen to just for fun, but Scorpions as a example are usually a sign I need to get off my butt and get stuff done.  Their albums are the first thing I grab for when I need motivation. i.e- I knew I had to take apart the light fixtures in the kitchen this afternoon which I hate doing, so I put one of their CDs on ( yes, I still buy CDs) and got it done. Why the Scorpions does this for me? I have no idea, but it works so that's all that matters.  Once I get through their albums, it becomes a free for all.  Hot Chocolate, The Supremes, Elvis, Def Leppard, Godsmack, Bob Seger, Barry White, ect...

Trivia:  One of the rescued guinea pigs we had was named after Angus Young.  He used bob his head up and down when he was petted, hence the name.

A teacher asks her class what their favorite letter is. A student puts up his hand and says 'G'. The teacher walks over to him and says, "Why is that, Angus?"

In 1987 when this track was released, it was #1 on my turntable for a long while! Now they are 'Old Maids' like me but they still rock!

Edit: They released a video!

Currently up over here is a compilation called "70 Minutes of Winter and Holidays Nintendo Music"; as of this writing, I've gotten to the Route 216 theme from Pokémon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, switching to Mario Kart 8's Sherbert Land.

Well, I'm starting up a compilation called "More Winter and Holidays Nintendo Music!" Kicking off with an orchestrated version of "Outset Island" from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker by The Blake Robinson Synthetic Orchestra, transitioning to an orchestrated "Sherbet Land," from Mario Kart: Double Dash!! & 8, by ClefferNotes.

Oh wow @jotaerre I really love L'Arc-en-ciel, I only discovered them fairly recently (well, within a couple of years, but they've been around for a long time so I am just a baby fan! ) I couldn't think of the track you mentioned so I had to look it up, I really love the bassist and he seems to have a new bass every concert! Here is Blurry Eyes live:

Their fans are so... fanatical!

Yeah @simsample they have about 30 years around, I bought their first album in 1994 directly from Japan through internet, they're a bit extravagant on stage but really are great musicians, cataloged as "punk rock" band they are a very versatile group that goes from Ska (Blurry Eyes) to pop ballad in their repertory.

@jotaerre They are not known in my country (UK) at all as far as I can tell, I really love music, have a huuuuuge collection of digital, CD, concert DVD, vinyl & cassette but when someone recommended this to me on Reddit a few years ago, I thought, who are they and how is it I haven't heard of them? So of course I immediately went out and bought a load of their stuff! Thanks for that video, very cool (plus he has another bass guitar!)

among guitarists (yeah, I used to be a studio musician on guitars, mostly acoustic. bass and piano) we have a saying "the ideal number of guitars to have is the number you already have plus one".

Possibly you didn't hear of them in the U.K., here is another of my fave bands from the land of the rising sun, as you enjoy music as I do, pay special attention to the trumpet solos in the 1st video, and timbal (Latin drums) in the second one.

Lovely! I'm not a huge fan of salsa but these have so much energy! Lovely trumpets, I used to play trumpet and cornet, as well as baritone for a while, but nowhere near as good as that! That's true about the ideal number of guitars, I have quite a new bass that is keeping me happy for now, plus I am defretting one of my old ones so perhaps I can hold out from getting any new ones for a while!
