FYI: how mersims should look and act like.

If this is not enough for you, there's more here.

BTW, Boecklin made a fortune painting works like these. Most of them are (insert an adjective of your choice) variations on Rubens themes, so if you want even more, google him.

So how many people think this is World Adventures 2.0?

I was sad because EA had gone a different route with WA, I need somewhere for my sims to get away from it all not be launched in to an even more stressful environment, although I wish this EP wasn't focused on a purely tropical location, it would have been nice for a ranch camping type location and a snow resort with skiing as well.

Either EA needs to cram a LOT of content and gameplay in to this EP or it will be a bit of a waste of money, if thats the case i'll wait a while for the price to go down.

Although I'm looking forward to being able to send my sims on a honeymoon that isn't a 3 day trip to that retreat lot in bridgeport that I edited, and to somewhere like this instead (fingers crossed)

I wonder if they'll change the travel system for this EP

pico22, That would require an amazing graphical card

I'm interested in the 'Manage your own resort' part *crosses fingers* Hotels? Stands of souvenirs? Maybe OFB elements? WANTWANTWANT!

I hope we get the "dock" style foundations back. They'd come in handy for things like this.

Oh, how this game is lacking in build tools. We don't even have diagonal pools yet, or split levels.

I think WA was, by far, TS3's best EP (yeah, I know no one else does). This one doesn't interest catch my interest in all.

^I also like WA. I, honestly, couldn't imagine uninstalling it.

And Witch Doctors were from the survey, but keep in mind - not everything from the survey makes it to the final game.

I liked World Adventure because it gave us martial arts, mopeds, photography, tents, and the tomb objects. I didn't really care for the actual adventures though. In fact ever since the EP came out I've only gone on one. Here's hoping this EP gives us better adventures at sea

I came to like WA a lot more when there were more things to dress those worlds up with... Casinos, bars that sort of thing. Made it much more exotic and vacation like.

That is the way I feel about WA. I love the items and content, just not the adventures.

Just finished watching the replay on the live broadcast...Now I want...wait for it...

Duh...Duh! Duh...Duh! Duh duh, duh duh, duh duh... JAWS!

Yeah, I thought of that after I posted Unicorns are basically horses though, so they were still mapped onto a sim type that already existed. And there won't be any more pet-based occults, since EA won't want to require pets to play em.

- an island filled with bloodthirsty cannibals. Or, even better, with playable cannibals. Why build complicated resorts when you can cook tourists in a simple pot?

At least if you have supernatural as well you could get a sortkind of Dead Island.
For those who don't know the game Dead Island; it's an action rpg that plays on a zombie infested island where you try to survive it.

I'm reserving judgement until more info is known, but it doesn't appear to appeal to me either.

Like most of the EPs in this series, I am not that excited for much of what has been discussed and normally don't use everything offered in them. The houseboat and underwater explorations have piqued my interest but do reserve judgement until I know how EA will create all of this. I am hopeful, this is a new direction to send the series in...that is cool.

It looks interesting, but every time they have promised something that looks amazingly cool, they give us something that doesn't live up to the hype.
I'm still wondering if we're going to have boats driving down the street, or sims swimming to work. And how much lag is it going to cause if your houseboat actually moves? (Or can it move, rather than being stuck at a dock so that it's basically a lot that must be placed on water?)

This sounds amazingly cool. I'm worried, and I'm mad at EA for teaching me to be wary of anything from them that sounds cool.

Could've been easily merged with WA, but I think this one will be more exciting. I'm pretty sure this is loosely based on Hawaii. I like Hawaii.

They're already going to have to animate mermaids swimming. Maybe they'll crib from some of the Pets code to put minor animals like snakes and parrots and lizards and turtles in.

I'm hoping they'll also include some NPC sea creatures in this, or at least fake them so they're seen at a distance. There MUST be dolphins that swim alongside your houseboat, whales spouting, shark attacks on scuba divers, and so on.

And when you're salvaging wrecks or swimming over coral reefs, we need one of these:

Actually i did not find the World Adventures ep that funny, i liked the objects but not the whole experience. I hope this is going to be a vacation-kind of expansion pack that EA will put hard work on and that they will not rush it. Hopefully it will be used the way that sims from other worlds are going to be able to visit the tropical world because otherwise it will be just like Late Night - only available experience if you live there.

I don't understand what you mean. I have Late Night clubs in every world I play.
