Default Unattended pets.
Ok, can't find the answer anywhere... When do you need a nanny for pets? Only on vacations, or are they exactly like children, - you leave them alone and they're gone forever?

Supervision is required only for leaving on vacation. You can safely go off to work and leave Fluffy at home alone all day. (Fill her food bowl before you leave. It can be traumatizing to watch pixelated fur in distress because you neglected that simple step. And, of course, if you don't get home in time to feed Flufferkins, pet services will take her away.)

Quick tip, from someone who's learned it the hard way...

It's a bad idea to leave a pet home alone, if it's untrained in using it's chewtoy or scratchpost. An unattended pet can easily destroy a 3000 simoleon fourpost kingsize bed, while your sim is away at work.. So.. If your sim is broke, it's sleeping on the couch

Until the next night, when they come home to discover their lovely pet has destroyed the couch too...then they're sleeping on the floor! lol

Thanks, everyone Wish teaching cats not to abuse furniture was as easy IRL (On the other hand, the results aren't (usually) as spectacular either...)
