As of today, 5.15GB (13,211 files, 17 folders). All of my mods, custom skins and eyes are dumped in the Downloads folder itself, but everything else goes into their respective subfolder. Everything I have is compressed and bundled (except for mods and geneticized custom eyes and skins) to cut down loading times; still have to bundle my Buy_Build folder

A little less than 3K files, around 1.1GB.
297 files are custom food, which I resorted into much less sub-menus (and renamed some of it due to spelling errors mostly).

Zero content.

Currently 2! Using a different laptop for once that’s spared from all my files.

I have 8,920 Files, 1,315 Folders and 6.70 GB which is really 6.72 GB if you count the size on the disk worth of cc and mods in my download folder.

I just finished installing some essential hacks, so now I have... 3.95 MB.

My old hard drive was failing and causing crashes under load. I had no idea failing hard drives had that symptom, and nearly set my computer on fire out of frustration, so I took it to a repair place. Anyway. I forgot to ask for the old hard drive back from the shop so I could grab a few files off it, including my CC and neighborhood saves. The more I thought about, though, this is a chance for a fresh start. No messy downloads folder. I don't have to worry about taking something out that was super important. The only downside, of course, is that my sims are dead. I was pretty attached to my Crowborough.

I just finished removing a bit, still have near 6,000 files including the mods folder.

3 gigs, apparently. That's in my OLD install, the one that dates to 2009. My favorite neighborhood there had a lot of clothing, objects, and careers to allow me to emulate Old West and Medieval scenarios.

Since I do videos i have like 28904 which is 10,1 GB (mostly hair and clothing)

If it wasn't so slow to load and didn't crash I totally would. I probably have 50Gigs stored away not in game.

I have 4,461 files, so it's 2.26GB. I can't decide which ones to get rid of because I can't remember if I used them on some of my lots.

As always when this thread comes to the frontpage I give an update on the size of my Sims 2 "Downloads" folder:

It is 2.67GB big, more than twice the size of the last time I checked (Jan 18, 1.05GB)

Still no longer feel the need to play with my back-in-the-day 13+ GB of content to enjoy the game, and as of today only have 5.54 GB (24,467 files) installed. Since starting my DL folder over from scratch last year, I just add content to the DL folder when needed. My game loads from launch to a loaded home lot in under 1 minute...even when all cache files have been deleted (which I do each time prior to launching the game).

That said, I do take long hiatuses from playing the game, so that probably keeps the installed content amount in check as well. It would probably be much higher if I played more frequently, but I still think I'd just end up focusing on adding more game enhancing mods and functional interactive objects than loading up on more static objects, or hairs and such.

Also have 17.5 GB (and counting) worth of waiting/available content that I use for 'shopping'.

This inspired me to take a deeper look at how my Downloads are divided.
Total Downloads Folder is 20.3 GB.
The top seven largest groupings within Downloads are:
Warlokk Bodyshapes clothing and meshes are 4.4 GB
Game Objects (deco, furniture, etc) are 4.3 GB
SkinTones are 3.0 GB
Hairs are 2.6 GB
AF default sized clothing and meshes are 1.03 GB
BobbyTheHacker Bodyshapes clothing and meshes are 960 MB
Athletic Girl Bodyshape clothing and meshes are 820 MB

Hmm. Do you think I like my Sims to have an (over) abundance of variety in looks and clothing selection? LOL.

4.05GB (and some of that is pictures) in my case and at that I can probably never use all of it. TS2 got me into a habit of when I run into a need for something check MTS and if I can't find it there make it because in most cases it's only a wall or furniture texture I want to match something else (which of course usually ends up turning into a huge project because while I'm at it...). Granted, I also have CC from other sites but it just takes too much time and effort to keep up with all of it so almost everything new (aside from mods) since installing TS2 on this computer has been from right here at MTS.

Uuuuhhhh... I have 11,3 GB in my "Downloads" Folder and 35.714 files in total
It doesn't really matter tho, I run my game on an external hard disk (1.5 TB) so it doesn't take any space on my laptop, only the installed game (MMMAYBE).

I'm sure this has been answered before, but...When I check Properties on by Downloads folder it only says 4.14 KB, but then it says "size on disk 8KB". Whichever, this is WAY below what other's say they have, and I thought I had lots of CC. What am I missing?
