Horses can walk through walls. The baby might learn more in an environment that includes horses.

Two neighbors came to welcome my Sim to the neighborhood. She invited both in. While she was talking to the blonde woman, the brunette woman goes and turns both knobs on the kitchen sink. Nothing happened, although the sink was not broke. Then my Sim grills hamburgers for them. After they finish eating the brunette washed the dishes in the bathroom sink, then stared at the toilet for awhile. After she finishes that, she turns the kitchen sink knobs again (nothing happened again) and then goes home.

She's neurotic. She'll just paranoidly (word?) check the sinks and stove to make sure the water/gas is off.

I haven't had a neurotic sim in ages, I miss their constant worries over everything. When they cannot check their appliances they get a 'worried' moodlet. When they check their appliances they get a 'reassured' moodlet. Once I had a sim that freaked out the WHOLE day at work, worried about her sink! When she came back she rushed into the house to check the sink and did the 'Phew!' animation, she seemed so relieved! So lulzy

Flying V's Simfest overrun with proprietors.
Discovered today what part of the problem with what I call the stop go movement of my Sims. The Flying V's Coffeehouse in Riverview is spawning dozens of proprietors. I first noticed that all the people there seemed to dress alike, kind of formal. Then I hovered my mouse over each one, and got a different name, proprietor. I have reset the lot several times using NRAAS controller, but they keep coming back. Just noticed this with the last update. 1.47

That's probably it. I have never played with a neurotic Sim before.

I have a werewolf sim that keeps missing all his gigs in order to transform, which involves standing around for 2 hours before actually undergoing any kind of transformation... he usually makes the last 15 mins of the performance just to add extra awkwardness. ;(

My teenage son was grounded by his parents for pulling a prank at the school, however when the bus comes for school he gets the you're not going anyway action from the parents. Love how Sim parents wont let there kids go to school if they are grounded. That isn't a punishment but a reward.

My pregnant Sim got nauseous. She was in her bedroom. She changed from everyday to outerwear (I did not tell her to do so) runs through the house to the bathroom and vomits. Then she changes back to everyday, goes through the bathroom wall (there is no door there) to the side yard. Next, she walks around the house and back in the front door.

Another one for the Quality Parenting list. Or maybe the Things to Watch Out For when you are raising a fairy list:

Twice I have sent a night owl sim searching for fairies in the Arboretum at 2 AM. Twice my sim has found fairies in the Arboretum. Both of them are toddlers. And the map tags showed that both sets of parents were asleep at home.

So the fairy toddlers were sneaking out and going across town to play in the arboretum while their parents were asleep... The taxi drivers actually drove them, and they didn't get pestered by that silly curfew that mortal kids have to worry about...

It must be great being a fairy kid.

Pause for a few minutes at the start of the transformation. I get the same issue; I think shit just needs time to load.

I was very surprised that the babysitter spent the entire time she was there actually taking care of the baby. When the mother came home, the sitter was actually snuggling the baby! She makes the second sitter I have had to actually do a good job.

Jack o lanterns in Summer
Jack o lanterns, my Sims yard is full of them. The mother keeps carving up every pumpkin she picks in her garden. It's the middle of summer right now in Riverview...... what does she think she's doing?? They rot in a few days, hope she leaves some for Spooky day in the Fall.

Lol, on the subject of groundings...

In my legacy I decided to do a teen pregnancy, she went into labour at 3am and I sent her to the hospital (what teenager would want to give birth at home alone? Her sister was out), while she was giving birth, her sister came home and I sent her to bed.
So, the teen come out of the hospital, psychic curfew-police show up, she ignores them and gets a taxi home. She puts her new baby in the crib, then proceeds to fly back to the hospital (she's a fairy), get arrested for being out after curfew, escorted home, and grounded by her sister who was supposed to be supportive!

All makes perfect sense, right?

She also went to go to school that day, I thought 'wow, what a model teen mother, still attending school...'
"JUST WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING, MISSY?!" Oh yeah, she's grounded, can't go school. what a stupid idea. She then gets put in time out for skipping school! By this point, I'm very angry at her sister. And force her to go over to her and let her off the hook.

Did I mention a very similar thing happened at her sisters graduation? Her parents told her she couldn't go, but I sent her anyway cause I needed the pix.

I have another weird babysitter moment, actually more than one. Every time the toddler is hungry she will actually feed him! Sometimes she just feeds him on the floor, and others she puts him in the high chair and gives him baby food! Not only that, she puts him in his crib when he is tired!!

So yeah, travelling to Champs Les Sims with one of my actives and Morgana Wolff to find some more relics for the newly-built reliquary at home. Right after they get there, she gives him this 'are you thinking what I'm thinking' look:

What, right here in the middle of the street?

Where is the ideal place to read a toddler a story during a blizzard? In the nursery? The living room maybe? Or maybe anywhere in the warm house? WRONG!! The ideal place is outside in the blizzard! You should also put warm clothing on yourself, but leave the toddler in regular (not warm) clothing.

The last two pictures show us how to properly hold a plate of hotdogs you have just taken off the grill.

Also, this is the family with the surprisingly great babysitter.

I keep seeing this suggested as a solution for what is actually a game bug.

This should be taken care of in-game. Sim time shouldn't keep ticking when the game is slow to load. It's bad enough that my Sims spend an hour on the crapper and a couple more hours in the shower, for no particular reason.

SO my sim is a babysitter. This was her very first day babysitting.
Babies started appearing. Then I saw this monstrosity FLOATING down the street in this position. Floating as in... literally floating. Not like how faeries float or anything, just floating along. Creepy as hell. So I took a screenshot.

I paused my game for a second, then she "transformed" into this. This happens a lot in my game.

Literally half a second after I took that screenshot, my computer let out a horrible beeping noise and the game crashed completely. Leaving me to just be like... wtf. I'm not sure if I want to reload my game. .-.

OH and how sims look when they eat a Ghost pepper... She looks like she got a sudden case of ... Well. You know.
Just the thought of my sim eating these makes me jealous... I need to order some seeds.

Rereading the same books. Pulling out a book when they are at a perfectly fun spot. They aren't even bookworms, nor interverts. They would rather read than talk to another Sim, they would rather not play anything in their homes, but are hell bent on reading. Sometimes, I think EA is trying to get it across to players to read more and stop playing Sim games.

Setting down the food I told them to make when they are very hungry, but because they are going to roll another 24 hours anyway, they set it down (when it plainly says Have, meaning eat, not just Make) even when they are three hours away. This one really annoys me. I wish safety catch was removed and they wouldn't roll another 24 hours since they aren't going to find something to eat and actually eat it until two hours before really croaking.

Not being able to sit down and eat and have a converstation. Call to meal is useless since most are already done by the time the others figure out how to sit down at the table.

Seems you can't queue up several things at once. If you do, more likely than not they skip a few.

Subways are useless. They take a cab, jump out to run to a subway, then back into another cab or get to another subway station, then, you get the point. Run three miles down the road to cross the street to the building that was right in front of them. Routing is really a problem in this game.

I agree about the Firefighter career. My Sim is the only one that does anything there. Gave up on it.

My doctor getting an opportunity from work that he/she needs to give vaccines to other Sims at another location, so they leave work, only to be told when finished, they are missing work.

Not smart enough to walk around another Sim. This is a throwback to TS1 days, when Sims would stand there toe tapping until somebody moved..sometimes they never moved. TS3 is coded the same way in that respect. Just stands there top tapping.

Everyone in the household too stupid to use the ten other counters in the kitchen when preparing food. They all want to use the same one. They really are too stupid to go to the next available one. This was not a problem in TS2. This is one of my biggest pet peeves.

Sims not giving a hoot about their memories. They know nothing about the last few mintutes let alone their long history. Not even remembering they are old friends with a Sim not even walking up to them when seen at community lots..they don't care about anything.

Too superficial, I guess, they don't care about their first woohoo, never even have a thought bubble about it, nor their first kiss etc. This makes them very shallow, imho. I miss them having thought bubbles about things that just happened, or even some that happened a Sim week ago.

Some things I do like, but most of my complaints are with the Sims themselves. Just pixels and no longer actuall characters no matter how many traits you give them, or which ones.

If things get -too- slow the clock does stop. But if you have the threshold much higher you will be having lag every game hour when inactive sims go to work, or go to school, or get off from work,or go to the gym, or go to the pool, or eat in the bistro where they have to change to formalwear first, or....

At least when you are the one pausing it, you know it's not frozen. Yes, it's sloppy programming. But do you -really- want EA to patch it?

OOPS. A new one from my new game in Supernatural.
My witch was coming home from work. The full moon rose. One of his co-workers transformed into a werewolf and creeped him out. A second co-worker transformed into a werewolf. My witch fainted.
He finally rushed home in time to see zombies attacking his garden, with his poor fairy fiancee barricaded in the house not being able to do anything. He hit a zombie with a fire blast. Another zombie crawled out of the ground. Hoping it wasn't a mistake, he tried to hit the first zombie with a fire blast again. He couldn't. The zombie was going to work now, and couldn't be disturbed...

Among the many different wedding presents... was one from the groom's dead previous wife. Sort of "Sorry I died, hope you're happy with my replacement!"
