This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default lots
I frequent crashes out of the game when I try to enter the lots. Even on standard lots in towns. I read somewhere that repainting the mailbox may affect this.I deleted all the mailboxes recolors, but not all can be removed. What can I do?

The mailbox recolours that came with the game are fine and they don't make the lots crash for me.

Do you have a reason to suspect specifically mailbox recolours? It could be anything that you downloaded.

No I don't know exactly what's causing the failure, I'm just trying to find out

I think the basegame only has the grey mailbox, but some extra recolors were included with one of the EPs (M&G, I think). They're the ones without a custom star.

Other CC is more likely to cause crashes. That, and RAM issues. Have you done the 4GB patch (either with the patch or via the CFF explorer)?

Yes, I have a 4GB patch. The game itself is fine, no crashes, the problem is only with lots.

Then it's most likely a CC problem, and you should follow this tutorial to identify the culprit:
https://modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Sims_2_Game_Help

Before that, you can look for conflicting CC using this tool:
https://www.picknmixmods.com/Sims2/...s/HcduPlus.html

And it never hurts to check whether your neighbourhood is clean, using this:

You will find help here if you have trouble using these for the first time.
