Default removing unnecesarry hairfiles(bmp's)
I made a Custom hairmesh, available for child/teen/YA/Adult and Elder.
Al works well but i want to decrease the package a little bit by letting all ages use the same material settings.
Bodyshop now generates 40 material definations while i only need 8.

A even bigger problem is all the files(bmp's) that bodyshop generates
I have a total of like 85 bmp's when recoloring while i only need 3 bmp's.
When putting the package together(importing in the game) bodyshop does delete all identical files(bmp's) so when checking back in SimPE there are only the 3 i need but when someone wants to recolor with bodyshop i would prefer also to have only those 3 files, not 85......

Hey blurr

You could find a maxis hairfile that has as little different bmp files as possible, and use that. Deleting it afterwards would take alot of time.

A tip is the latest wavy hair from SAU for ladies, it has only about 3 textures per age. You could use that texture file as a base.

But that particular mesh has 2 or 3 meshgroups?
The hairmesh i did has 8 groups so bodyshop will generate 3 new bmp's for every alpha involved and the hair and bonnet group?......

I can fix the package in SimPE so it has only 2 texturefiles and 8 material definations.
But the moment you clone it again with bodyshop i get spammed by like 80 identical files(and 40 material definations....), :D

I tried already to let all ages use the same files by changing the ID files but that didn't work.
Maybe i should protect the file so no recoloring can be done, hehe
No worries bout DL Mulcow then :D

oh boy, did i had a blond moment......
if there are groups that share the same textures you just give them identical names so they share the same uvmap(texturemap)
