I'll click my Sim - Attractiveness - Develop *Sims name* Preferences - Random (or any selection, but I usually prefer random); I'll get the pop up that "Attractiveness Preferences are being current developed. With the number of Sims involved this make take around 9 seconds. You can continue playing while the developing is in progress". But I don't get any changes to the sims preferences section under Simology. I've had it work a few times, but I'm not sure what I'm doing incorrectly. I also checked under Attractiveness Settings and all are checked (except Dynamic World View).

Hey.

Just tested it and it works fine in my game.
Must be something on your end preventing it from working, maybe another mod, maybe something else, hard to tell.

Hey!

You can check your Sims' Attractiveness Preferences by clicking on them ➙ Attractiveness ➙ Choose x's Preferences.
They don't appear in Simology, unless you pick their likes/dislikes in CAS.

OH! I kept thinking the way to check was Simology, but this makes total sense and I'm so glad to know I didn't break anything. Thanks so much!

Hey there! There are a few things that could be interfering with the mod working.

First, did you unzip the file? If not, do that first.

Second, did you place the entire unzipped folder (MTS_TURBODRIVER_2021844_WonderfulWhimsv30-26January2022(261642)) directly into your Mods folder? If you have, open up this folder and you should see another folder inside called "WonderfulWhimsMod" which should include the .package and .ts4script files. What you will need to do is remove this folder from the big old "MTS_TURBODRIVER_..." folder and place it (the folder titled "WonderfulWhimsMod") directly into the Sims 4 Mods folder. Your path should be Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods > WonderfulWhimsMod, and in here should be the .package and .ts4script files. If you have that, you can then delete the extra MTS folder. (Basically, any mod that includes a script file (.ts4script) can only be one folder deep within the Sims4 Mods folder, but when you download it from MTS, it adds that extra initial folder, so you have to move the core folder with the files in it directly into the Mods folder.)

Third, have you checked the option in game to allow script mods? If not, be sure to do so (found under "Game Options") and then close out and relaunch the game.

If the universe is kind, you should have a shiny new mod in your game

can this be used on Mac as well? I'm new to mods in general and was thinking this might be a good idea to use as a test drive

I am also not able to switch off the menstrual cycle. I am having to do it manually for every female Sim every time I play. This has just been happening since the last update of the mod.

Thank you so much for all you do for us in developing this mod and maintaining it for us! I really do love it!

This causes extreme lag when exiting build/buy mode on 64x64 lots. Tried without any other mods and 100% this is the reason. Unforunate because I have a powerful gaming pc but this is causing lag

Default WickedFul Whims??
These mods are amazing, Turbo. I wish there was a "Medium Place" version of Wicked/Wonderful Whims that still had whoohoo animations but.....less porn, more "Lifetime Movie" whoohoo animations? At any rate, your work is fricken amazing!!

Hey, so I just tested it in my game and the switch to turn menstrual cycle off seems to be working correctly.
Are you sure you're referring to menstrual cycle added by WoW and not some other mod?

Hi! Have you thought about adding peeping tom, but without the inappropriate stuff of course, in this version?

Default Developing Attraction
I've been having an issue lately with Developing Attraction for my sims. I don't know if it's an actual issue or if I'm misunderstanding the mod. Let me provide an example to explain myself better:
For sim A, I have their preferences set to "Develop A's Preferences Based on Romantic Partners". Now, another sim, sim B, just grew up into a teen, and I'd like to see what kind of preferences they get at random so they can start dating. So I went into sim B's attraction setup, saw that the Romantic Partner one was selected by default (which is why they couldn't develop any attraction), and clicked Randomize Preferences. Simply because I wanted the games to choose something random for sim B that I could work with. Now. I can't help but notice that whenever I choose a different attraction method for a sim (by partners, by parents, etc), it doesn't only change it for *that specific sim*. It changes it for all my other sims too, which I don't want. I want the rest of my sims to, say, keep being attracted to sims based on their romantic partners, but I want sim B (who's had no romantic partners) to be developed via a different method. So despite the fact that when you look at the menu, the menu clearly says "Develop Sim B's Preferences by...", it changed the rest of my sims (probably outside my household too) as well.
Am I misunderstanding something here? Because from the wording in the menu, I should only be able to Develop my selected sim's preferences. Not also accidentally change my other married sims to get attraction based on that thing too. It's just a little frustrating for storytelling purposes, so I want to know if I'm doing something wrong here. Any reply is greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure what the issue seems to be.
If you change one Sim's preferences, it doesn't change them for anyone else, unless you've picked the option to develop other Sims' preferences.

I'm having issues turning off or editing any of the settings in the Pregnancy Settings. My sim is a teen, and the options to disable pregnancy, Player sims pregnancy chance, NPCS pregnancy chance, and birth control settings are all grayed out that I can't edit them at all. I have the Woohoo wellness mod and MCCC as well, and I have the setting unchecked to have Wonderful mod to over wright other mods off, but I still can't turn it off.

Hi!

If options are grayed out, that would mean that you have switched off another setting that also turned off the settings you're trying to tweak right now, since they'd become obsolete.

I can NOT thank you enough for this mod. THANK. YOU. I love my Sims game. It is my little obsession and modders like you make my obsession my passion. If I had money, I'd give you all of it. (or at least a large portion) For now, you have my love and my eternal gratitude.

TURBODRIVER, how come your mod has made all of my female characters infertile? Can you make it AN OPTION to be infertile in the next update instead of "damn that sucks, guess you can't have kids!"

Hey!

WonderfulWhims doesn't render anyone fertile, it does however introduce a feature called "Menstrual Cycle", which is based on a real life thing!
That makes it so there's only a small window during the menstrual cycle that allows your Sims to easily become pregnant, and you have to plan accordingly!
Or you can just go into the settings and turn the feature off altogether.
