after reading this thread I think I am gonna reinstall The Sims. I got my sister used games and never really played it, because I got into sims 2 (still play sims 2), but given how little space sims 1 will take up on my PC. I wanna try and play it if I can.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find LGBT pride items? I've searched CTO and some of the active Sims 1 sites, but I wasn't able to find anything close. Not even a rainbow flag.

I need them for an event in my neighborhood.

And it appears the Simslice patches all link to the official site, which, of course, got rid of the patches and is hawking Sims 4 now. I'm HOPING that Makin' Magic at least somewhat patched everything after Vacation. I do have the patches for the earlier EPs.

I have not seen a mod for that but here "SkyLego 07 Kit" http://simsky.parsimonious.org/ensimsky.php works on all needs at the same time.

Is there any way to get Maru's head meshes(Note: the link is broken)?
I downloaded some of them long ago, and the site is now gone. Marco's Refined Creations has skins for some of those head meshes, but without meshes, how can I use them?
Wayback machine does not retrieve those files, sadly.

I can't see the heads, so I don't know which ones they are. Sometimes you can find the meshes at other sites with heads, if you recognize the shape or if you know the number. Sometimes, if the shape is close enough, you can change the number of the file that looks like a stretched head so that it will wrap itself onto the mesh.

Maru's heads are mapped in non-standard(i.e. non-Maxis) way. You can see shape of some heads from MRC skin page. They are overall, somewhat rounder(than standard Maxis head XD) and anime-ish, but not much(but I think they're same face with different hair styles...).

I had used some of SimFreaks heads(but what happened to body meshes?), but not checked other sites you linked.

I think I remember them...I may have downloaded some and discarded them at some point because they didn't fit with the rest of my skins. I didn't see the page, sorry. I get nervous about poking around abandoned sites because hackers like them. Anyway, CTO has a lot of stuff and it's worth looking into what they've collected. Neither Living in Sim, which has standard Maxis heads, nor Dolls Face is likely to have what you're looking for.

Good luck. The other thing I was thinking of was BNJ, but when I checked out that site, there weren't many faces and they didn't seem to match what I remembered from Maru.

Doll Face head skins are mostly custom textures for Simfreaks 'real head' meshes.
BNJ is gone as well, but fortunately Simechoes and Yahoo group 'Saving the Sims' have archive of that. BNJ heads are mapped on mostly Maxis had or some other custom heads, including Simfreaks heads.

There's this one Finnish The Sims 1 story still in LiveJournal called "Saippuakuplia ja Salaisuuksia" ("Soap Bubbles and Secrets" if freely translated), it was quite famous back in the day. It has a lot of impressive custom content and I was wondering if someone here knew where to find some of the items. Click here for the first entry of the story and click the word "seuraava" ("next") under the banner to go further in the series. There's custom, working cigarettes for example, rideable horses (which I found here ), useable swords, scooters and lots of nice clothes but I haven't been able to find any other content besides the horse. Maybe someone else knows?

Does anyone know where to find the mods to age up child sims to adults?

I haven't found a mod that does such thing, unfortunately, but if you have Makin' Magic expansion pack, you may cast the spell called "Age of Instant" which will transform your sim child into an adult. The ingredients needed are toadstools and dragon Scales x2.

I don't know if this has been posted on this thread already, but I just got back from a deeply determined hunt for C&C Enterprises' gardening stuff. I ended up digging through the Wayback Machine (and I probably could have gone a bit further in the timeline, but the site is a bit wonky today). Anyhow: I found a working link to all of the wonderful gardening mods/objects. With these you can plant and sell roses and tulips, utilize advanced victory garden and vine plots that keep the pests at bay, and much, much more! You can also explore other areas of the site without being hindered by error codes. The download links are active and the pictures are showing up nicely. Have fun.

SkyLego 07 Kit works on all needs at the same time and up to 4 sims can use it at the same time.(I have not tried it with more than 4 sims though.) See post #84 above for the link.
