Actually, talking to relatives on the phone doesn't satisfy the want. I've seen the want remain even after they start talking to them.

There is another way to do it-invite the relatives over to visit-or teleport them in. Then that should cure the problem-if you have the batbox, you can 'socialize friends' and hopefully they'll be the first to talk to.

That's why I posted here. It's not always convenient to invite over a relative for a conversation just to satisfy a trivial +500 want. Most of the time I'd rather just have the person call them for a phone chat... which doesn't fulfill the want.

What I find annoying is when they roll a want to call them to chat, and then when you do that, they roll a new want to invite them over, so you have to hang up and call the same person all over again. Wish there was a mod to click on the phone during a call and invite the caller over.

The want "Talk to <specific sim>" is satisfied by phoning them. I didn't notice that "Talk to relative" isn't, but that's annoying.

I use the sims as a psychology simulator...

Found it! It wouldn't work for the deco baby of course, but you could take the texture and paste it onto the texture of the deco baby as a recolour.

A way to schedule the Nanny that isn't tied to some family member's work schedule, but rather puts her opposite the butler's schedule.
Also a way to schedule round-the-clock Nannies.

Newlyweds Junior and Candy Mann just had triplets. Both have fears of changing diapers, and Candy had the have baby fear and went straight into aspiration failure. They (or rather Junior's parents) can afford all the childcare they need and want, which is all of it, but I have to notice the Nanny decided to leave because her shift was over and call her again.

I need JEWELRY and PERFUME/COLOGNE clutters, decoration items. I know there are jewelry and cologne/perfume display, but I need clutter/decoration versions. For jewel shop and perfume shop.

@Lena88 put that in WCIF and ask for Retail Sims, specifically, because someone must have uploaded those somewhere.

I have 'em, in a great big Retail Sims folder, if no one else does, but I bet someone has them up already. Don't know where/how to put that up, but I guess I could figure it out. (And it would be just the entirety of everything Retail Sims I downloaded, I have no interest in sorting it out, so you'd need to.)

More piano/guitar/bass/drum songs. The ones they have right now can get so boring. Why not have some variations and such, or even the ability to add the DJ booth and synth to the mix? Maybe have some punk and folk tracks and other good stuff.

Do you know how many tracks you need for just one song? It's for every instrument one for every creativity level and if they play together number of tracks increases exponentially.

No no no... for PERFORM, not practice. The perform option only has three styles.

Yes and they perform depending of their skill, so 11 tracks for 1 instrument.

If someone wanted to add different performance options, I wouldn't need 11 tracks for each instrument.

Even if it was one, and they all sounded good even if they had no creativity, it would be nice for a change.
More realistically, which would probably suit everyone better, would be to create 3.
Low level for Creativity points 1-3.
Medium level for 4-7
High level for 8-10.

Yes, you would need to do this for all 4 instruments for every new track you wanted them to be able to perform together, and that could be alot. But it doesn't have to be 11 tracks x 4 instruments = 44 different files each time.
3 tracks x 4 instruments = 12 new files. It's not nothing, but maybe someone with musical talent, modding skills and a love for Sims 2 won't be overwhelmed considering it.

I just made a batch of townies and aaaaaaugh I really wish I had a mod that would remove the requirement to have child and teen sims related to an adult in CAS. It would save so much time you have to spend removing relationships.

You first made a sim, then age them down and then make them townie.

You should actually age them down to the age stage just before the one you want them to be, and then use set to birthday and age them up the regular way. Otherwise their data gets set badly and you can wind up with like children getting taken away by the social worker for bad grades and such.

@Lena88 I honestly had not thought of that approach. The big disadvantage I can see is then having to reset their clothes. But I guess you could skip that step in CAS and do it when you're installing them in the neighborhood. Not sure if this is an improvement over just making them family and then deleting all the relationships in Sim Blender, but it's worth a shot!
