i have the idea of adding custom skin overlays to many of the default NPCs (landgrabs, pancakes, etc).

on the other hand, throughout my long history with sims 4, for one reason or another i find myself eventually needing to start a new save, and having to import my played households.

so that's where the question comes in;

right now if i add skin details to many NPC households, but down the road need to start a new save, will importing modified default NPC households cause any issues, like job losses, club losses, etc.

Yes you can delete any sims and put the sims you want in their place. Any sims you want saved just upload them too your lib and they be there if make a new save just need too keep the cc used for them
