I'm having a problem, where my downloaded Johnny Depp sim does not show up as Johnny Depp in CAS, but as another downloaded sim, namely, as Sweeney Todd. This problem occured when I downloaded this house:

I also had this problem with my downloaded Buffy sim, who did not show up as Buffy in CAS, but as another downloaded sim. This problem with Buffy disappeared when I put the downloaded house in in the dowloads folder, instead of just using Clean pack installer. When I put the house under the downloads folder, instead of just using the Clean pack installer, the candy canes appeared(they were missing when I just used the Clean installer), and the stairs stopped flashing blue. It's great that I solved the Buffy issue, but my Johnny Depp sim is having trouble.

So, my question is, is there a way to solve this? I would really like to both have my Johnny Depp sim, and the gingerbread house.

Does the sim actually show up incorrectly, or is it just the CAS thumbnail that is wrong?

It's only the CAS thumbnail that is wrong, Sorry if I was unclear.

I should also mention that my bed in the gingerbread house does not look like the bed in the download view. I also have not the wardrobe in the downloaded view, nor the bathtub. Is it because I downloaded it wrong, or is it because the CC creator changed the creation(it says that the file was updated after upload was posted).

I have noticed something. In the thumbnails folder, the CASTthumbnails.package has been changed. Most likely by the CC lot I downloaded. That's probably why the CAS thumbnail has been changed. But what can be done to fix it?

Well, I managed to solve the issue with wrong CAS thumbnail, I simply ctrl pressed and right clicked. Though I am still wondering if the gingerbread house has changed the bed or not, because the bed in my gingerbread house does not look like the one on the download page.

A small suggestion first: if the last message is yours, you should edit to add info instead of posting a new one.

Ok, now do all sims show up? If it's just the thumbnail, there's no problem at all. You can regenerate it like you did with Ctrl + right click. You probably should also delete the cache files. (Read here)
As for the missing items, they probably are not included in the house. You can check with the Clean Installer which items are there, search for the bed there.

Is it really so that the CC is conflicting, as I orginally thought? I did not have this problem of wrong CAS photo before, it all started when I downloaded the gingerbread house.

I think, if it actually conflicted, the sims would show up wrong too, not only the thumbnails.
I bet it was simply the cache files doing weird things.
