Default Are The Expansion Pack And Stuff Pack Patches Mandatory For The Sims 2?
Another one of my dumb questions lol. Title says it all. And if they are how are they installed?

Yes, the patches are mandatory for the Sims 2. They stop major glitches and other problems.

Find a site that has them (I don't remember right now where one is) and download the patches for the EPs you have (there is only one SP patch) and unzip and open it.

Thank you for your help! Do you install the patches when installing the game? Like for example I would install the free time patch after I install the free time ep?

That would be the best time to install the patches.

I use this link to know what order to install the EPs, then install the patches: http://www.simbology.com/smf/index.php?topic=1228.0

You can download the patches here on MTS: http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...p:TS2%20Patches
Mootilda provided guidance on game patch installation here: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=473894. BTW she said patch order installation didn't matter.

Yes, no need to go anywhere, MTS has hosted the patches for years.

Also note that if you have the UC, that is already patched and doesn't need to be patched again.
