- you can overfeed your fish (I never use aquariums)
- unaccepted pizza never turns bad (Hmm. Good to know.)
- Sim made paintings rise in value alot after the painter dies (That's awesome)
- you can watch tv from the toilet (Okay, I know what I'm putting in all my sims' bathrooms from now on)
- there's a free-moving camera in Bodyshop by pressing F3
- when 2 Sims in a house follow the same career and 1 is higher up the careerladder, that Sim can 'pull some strings' to get the other promoted (Is this an automatic thing or what?)
- a Lazy Sim with low mood may smash the alarm clock when it wakes him up (That's funny. Too bad I've never ever used an alarm clock. )
- pressing TAB in the game or Neighbourhood makes it possible to zoom in real close (WS-QE buttons)
- the game was delayed for 6 months, the main reason for adding wants & fears (Very good call on their part)
- originally there was supposed to be a thirst and mind need
- social was divided between friends and family social
- you can free the burglar after it's captured in the policecar (This one...I've tried it a couple times - using a mean sim like you're supposed to - but my timing must be off because the option shows up to click but by the time my sim gets to the door it doesn't work, grumble, grumble.)

Why did you italicize some of them?
And I knew most/some of those. Although can Sims really help other sims get promoted if they have the same job?

I would've thought the "What did you discover today" thread would be a better place for these.

If you want to read my short comments on every note in OP, hit that spoiler button.
- that mean sims can cheat with chess and darts by clicking on the dart- chessboard? Gonna try that right now! Never thought there was an interaction for that!
- the mechanic can also be electrocuted during fixing something?
Well, that one is kind of obvious. There's always a % chance of being electrocuted, especially when standing on a puddle.
- the expensive grandfather clock can fall into pieces while repairing it?
Happened to me once when I played Malcolm Landgraab IV. Scared the living crap out of me.
- your Sim can swim on its back while clicking him in the pool?
One of the first interactions I've discovered. Back in 2004 when I got the game, a pool was a must-have for me. And, there I am, clicking randomly on a Sim and BAM, Float on back interaction.
- you can talk to the unborn baby?
Yes, through "Baby... > Talk to Belly", but does it cause any type of relationship change between the one who calls the interaction and the baby?
- you can pay off a Sim that kicks your trashcan?
If they wouldn't run away so fast, maybe I would've noticed that there was an option for that. I'd be a millionaire if I discovered this back when I was playing a family in Downtown.
- the expensive wall TV falls into pieces when it's used after having it moved with Boolprop active?
This sentence couldn't be more unintellegible. Yes, there's an interaction to do this (Shiftclick > Set Maintenance Level). Once you do it, a TV falls on the floor. If you actually move it in Buy Mode with TCE still on, nothing happens, silly kids.
- Sloppy sims may occasionally pee in the shower or the bushes?
If you shift-click on a bush, there's an option to "Use" the bush, too.
- even Nice sims enjoy destroying the dollhouse?
Another lapsus maxi(s)mus.
- you can overwater your plant which make them all brown and dead?
I just cannot work my own gardens. I've never had a garden without a hired gardener.
- also that you can overfeed your fish?
If you click on a want that has anything to do with the fish tank (either clean it or feed the fish), you'll get a text box. In the text box, at the end, it says, "Hint: Overfeeding fish causes dirty fish tanks."
- when you have 2 or more pc's, your Sims can play a LAN game?
I believe FT is required for that. Could be wrong.
- Sims can watch tv in bed?
I knew that. They could also listen to radio from bed. They could also watch TV while lounging on the sofa.
- you can free the burglar after it's captured in the policecar?
Never had it happen, but I see people are saying that it's possible. I'll take a closer look at it.
- unaccepted pizza never turns bad?
Yeah... sigh.
- 2 social bunnies can make out with eachother?
Two social bunnies of the same color will fight each other, while two of different colors will make out/be nice to each other. (Or vice versa?)
- when a Sim is on the phone, another Sim can join that conversation by clicking on another phone?
Never knew that... but I do know that with FT, if you have a Sim with Popularity aspiration, one of the aspiration benefits will be "Make a 3-way call". Neat feature, I use it almost always. (What's funny is that Don Lothario can make a 3-way call with Cassandra and Dina, and nothing would happen.)
- Sloppy Sims can lick a plate 'clean'?
Also one of the first interactions I've discovered. Actually, back in 2004 I didn't know much Engrish, so I didn't even know what Sloppy/Neat, Outgoing/Shy etc. meant. Hehe.
- Sims that went through University have the option to sleep on the floor?
Not true. There's a Sim that is currently attending university that is able to do that (the girl from SSU in the sorority house, the one dressed all in pink). And, I've had lots of Sims finish university, and I've never got the interaction.
- Sim made paintings rise in value alot after the painter dies?
I've read it somewhere. I should definitely start playing artists soon, this sounds exciting!
- really sloppy Sims (0-1 point) can salvage money from the trashcan?
I thought it had something to do with Romance aspiration... or it could be the fact that I discovered that interaction whilst playing Don Lothario, who is a slob, so...
- in the Sims universe, there are 2 moons?
Maxis.
- teens get zits if their 5 day average of hygiene is below 50%?
I recently discovered this.
- a refrigerator will never be stolen?
What a nice thing, Maxis! At least they have minimum compassion towards players that play with no cheats and have just started playing Sims. Tho it'd be funny if you saw a burglar carrying a damn fridge out of your house in the middle of the night.
- you can 'encourage' a younger Sim to add or subtract personality points?
I always wanted to get rid of the Encourage interaction, since it just clogs up my already filled pie menu. But yes, it's a nice feature.
- you can alter Interests by buying and reading magazines?
Which I never do.
- a child with negative aspiration may stomp flowers, ruin paintings or even smash an urn?
I think it's a teen here in question, not a child.
- you can watch tv from the toilet?
This is SO going to my storytelling albums! And, yet another reason why one should have a TV in their bathroom. (Or, a toilet in their living room !?!?!?!?)
- there's a free-moving camera in Bodyshop by pressing F3?
At last, I've found the darn button! I always thought it was TAB! Nice, but I can't really zoom.
- you can place small statues and flowers on mantelplaces and some dressers?
Very restricted, but possible.
- you get a §500.-- fine if you call the police or firebrigade when there's no emergency?
One of the first stuff I did when I played my first family. <3
- kids can recieve a 1-time §100.-- reward from a non-existing grandparent if it has good grades?
Happened to Ophelia from Strangetown (Olive Specter's niece). I was a little bit 'wtf', since her grandparents are long dead.
- baby's/kids/toddlers taken away by the social worker may turn up for adoption?
There's been a recent thread around here about what happens when a kid is taken by the Social Worker. Or it could be a year old thread, sometimes I really lose track on time on these forums.
- a teen can runaway if it has a bad relationship (-20/-20) with all household members?
Finally, I know the key ingredients on making my Sim run away! I've never had a Sim run away before. I've even made Lilith Pleasant have -100/-100 towards her family members, but she never ran away.
- if permission to go out is denied, the Sneak Out option for teens comes available on the phone after 10 pm?
The sneak out option becomes available even without asking to go out. It even appears if the ask for go out permission interaction was successful.
- when 2 Sims in a house follow the same career and 1 is higher up the careerladder, that Sim can 'pull some strings' to get the other promoted?
Oh, sweet! A true trivia!
- when juggling coffeecups (not those from the fridge), another Sim can join the juggling?
Nice, didn't know that.
- a Lazy Sim with low mood may smash the alarm clock when it wakes him up?
Also one of the first things I've seen when playing TS2 back in 2004.
- toddlers that learned to walk, may sneak out of the crib autonomously?
Happens to me all the time in TSCS.
- pressing TAB in the game or Neighbourhood makes it possible to zoom in real close (WS-QE buttons)?
Nice. I sometimes use it to take snapshots for my storytelling albums.
- the game was delayed for 6 months, the main reason for adding wants & fears?
There have been many theories why the game was delayed. Some say it was because of W&F, some because there was a fire at the office so they had to rebuild half of the game code (that's the one I believe in - otherwise I don't think (or do I !?!?) they'd make a game so poorly and made us able delete Sims and graves and stuff like that.
- that originally there was supposed to be a thirst and mind need?
I knew the one about the thirst need, but never heard of mind need.
- and that social was devided between friends and family social?
Would be nice if maxis didn't divide it IMO. IRL, I can be around as many friends and still feel lonely because I want to be surrounded by family members and vice versa. But, I think it'd add at least 9 additional months of delayment to make this happen, haha.
- the mechanic can also be electrocuted during fixing something?
Well, that one is kind of obvious. There's always a % chance of being electrocuted, especially when standing on a puddle.
- the expensive grandfather clock can fall into pieces while repairing it?

I believe it does, but I haven't tested this scientifically.

FT is not required. I have only as far as BV, and my sims can have a LAN party if there are two or more computers on the lot. I think that may have come into the game with Uni (or at least I didn't notice it until after I got Uni).

This is true, but they have to be very tired -- in the orange if not the red. Any sim in Uni or graduated from Uni has the option.

Permission doesn't necessarily have to be denied. The Sneak Out will appear after 10 pm, even if the teen has not asked a family member for permission to go out.

Can it actually be possible that I've always missed the option in my Sim pie menus? I must've been more tired than my Sims then! Thanks for clarifying this for me.

The repairman getting electrocuted is not new to the series. The repairman in The Sims 1 had a small chance of being electrocuted as well.

Our education standards really are lowering if this is the skill that students are coming out of University with. XD

I discovered that for myself this week. My Sim moved into a tiny house, with a tinier garden on Monday morning, He had two tiles of flowers next to the front door. You really can't hire a gardener for two tiles!! So on Tuesday evening he watered the flowers himself. All the flowers in one of the tiles immediately shrivelled up and died. I thought I must have left them too long, but it seems I must have watered them too soon!
But, Maxis, in real life you do water in new plants!

I'm amazed i knew everyone of them
"baby's/kids/toddlers taken away by the social worker may turn up for adoption?" When child/toddler/baby gets taken away on my game i ALWAYS get the child/toddler/baby back on the first "try" when i call adoption services

Yes, and they don't have to live in the same household. If a Sim is friends with another Sim in the same career and the friend is higher up the ladder than your Sim, then they can "pull strings." I've had it happen a few times, and the "puller" has never lived in the same household as but was friends with the "pull-ee." So, it helps to make friends with those Sims that your Sim brings home from work. If they're higher up than your Sim, there's a possible benefit to it beyond merely adding another friend.
As for the list, I knew pretty much all of them except that Sims will watch TV while sitting on the pot. But what's the point of that? Me, I have a little wall-mounted TV in my RL bathroom but it's for watching stuff while I'm soaking in my Jacuzzi tub. Toilets are too uncomfortable to sit on for long.
I'm mostly found on (and mostly upload to) Tumblr these days because, alas, there are only 24 hours in a day.
