In case anyone was wondering...
Re: Hurricane Matthew - We didn't get much of anything... *whew* Not even a power-blip! Our yard is littered with lots of little branch bits and Spanish Moss - but, other than that - and the lingering drizzly rain - we are all good. Now I'm praying that he doesn't turn around in the Atlantic and come back for a second visit!
I hope anyone else affected by Matthew fares as well as we did

It's also Thanksgiving weekend up here in the Great White North (for real, it's been snowing in my province for the last two or three days...).

Lots of palm wine, please?
Cat, I am so thankful that you are safe! Strongs with the cleaning up
My dog went and chew on a poisonous frog, so if I seem absent, it is due to having a rather demanding little patient, but he is improving already after a hectic trip to the vet. Vet said it will take about 3 to 4 days and I (imagine that) have to keep him away from chewing poisonous frogs. (I have a garden the size of a postage stamp and still cannot spot the frogs).

OH! The poor little pooch! We had a kitty that chewed on some sort of gold beetle/june-bug/thing once. It almost killed her - but the vet triumphed in the end.
Are the frogs those teeny tiny ones? S Africa has different critters than we do... so I have no idea. I hope your pup gets better real quick!

We have quite a variety, and I am not sure which one was the culprit, but I heard a sound that I associate with the colorful yellow striped ones. Plenty of bull frogs around, but they bite back! He seems better tonight, and he has not stopped eating, just demanding lots of attention and not sleeping very well. And he hates the medicine I am so fond of the little mutt, proper mix of something and something. I inherited him 6 years ago when he was 3 months old and my son and his ex-fiancee broke up.

October 16th according to the table at the beginning of the thread. I'm holding off for a little while just due purely to the fact I passed city inspection rather early. I'll likely get my entry up sometime Monday and be done with it. Enjoy the tube!

Another long day at the fair, I made stickers to let people know they can tip us and IT WORKED! We made over $100 in tips today! I got a third of it.
The judges have finished scoring, I'll be making a post about that on Monday. They judges have also collectively decided who will be getting permits. Of the 10 of you (daman requested a skip), 6 of the churches have been selected to be renovated for the new owners. I'll tell you which six also on Monday. I still need to draw up the wall diagrams for you six, and I'll prolly do that tomorrow night. Those might be a tad late, so if you get a Permit but no wall diagram, play it safe and don't do anything except declutter and clean (and maybe new landscaping).
Justpetro, a service entry is on the loading dock for trucks to bring supplies and take away product. This usually means there is a large door to fit a fork lift through (think garage door), and a raised dock so the product can be wheeled right into the truck (which is up higher because of it's wheels.)
Kanzen, you may photoshop the color of the ceiling if it bothers you that much. Solid colors only, no cool grunge painting. You absolutely can change that color on a maxis roof recolor however. I discovered that when I made my roof trim defaults. Many custom roof trims do not get defaulted, this is because they have a copy of that grey color in their package, and you could totally make it a dingier brown beige color instead. The only thing is, they are tied to each roof color, so either use regular roofs and my default and make a dirty color version and swap it back and forth between shell and reno round, or commit to a roof color and always use your new custom recolors with dirty trim.
Cat, warehouses are due next week. Y'all have another week to work on them, but the church reno round starts on Monday, so you might be busy with both at that point! Getting the warehouses done before starting the next project is a good plan.

Thanks Phaenoh! I completely forgot that I was using your white default trim =)) it's like an essential to me!
If I remove the mod I might get the effect that I want, otherwise I'll either use Honeywell's greyer trim or just edit it with a solid color.

Official Entry - Round 2
Well, so much for waiting until tomorrow to post. I'm all done and I want to get some university paper writing done tonight, so I'll post it now. Touchstone Manufacturing
The next property that the Loch Namara Restoration Council would like to put forward for renovation is the old Touchstone Manufacturing plant on the edge of town. This manufacturing plant was one of the first employers in Loch Namara, and remained the foremost source of employment until its closure at the start of World War I. Since then, Loch Namara's city council has worked hard to try and find an alternative use for this once-beautiful property.
However, we are now in desperation need of help. The structure is beginning to crumble after nearly a century of disuse: support columns have broken, the floors are beginning to crack and warp, and several areas of the walls themselves have been destroyed. Weeds and shrubs are beginning to take over, and as the council discovers more and more intruders, we worry that the building will soon become a fire hazard.
Please, City Inspectors, grant us our building permit so that we can begin to rebuild our dying city!

I only managed adding the stairs and a few doors after my post hahaha! Other than those I have no idea what to put and where!
Cheers to empty lots! though I only have Pepsi to offer~ and a youtube link to Les Miserables' movie soundtrack .
The mental images that come when listening to music help me imagine what things should look like. I hope it helps~
