For converting clothing, you’ll need a few more programs in addition to blender. This tutorial should help get you started: https://mimisapje.tumblr.com/post/1...hing-ts4-to-ts3
Also, sims3tutorialhub over on tumblr has a lot of great resources and tips for clothing conversion/creation: https://sims3tutorialhub.tumblr.com/

I’m pretty sure exporting meshes from Sims4Studio requires version 2.70 of Blender. If you don’t have that version and try to export a mesh, a pop up should appear asking if you would like to download that version of Blender.
As for Milkshape, there’s a working download link in this tutorial: https://sims3tutorialhub.tumblr.com...497728242352129

shameless plug https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=659402
i checked mimisapje's tutorial and the only part i didn't cover in my tutorial is this:
> (OPTIONAL)Step 4: You can close S4CASTools and open up milkshape and import the OBJ file in it, then export it again as on obj file.
This step is optional, but I do it, cause if I directly import the exported obj file s4castools into blender, the mesh will look square-y.
i assume by "square-y" they mean flat shading? you can easily switch to smooth shading in blender, no need to use milkshape for that
just select your mesh in object mode and click the "smooth" button in the left panel (if you don't see it, press T)
if that's not it, well, let me know. i'm sure we can fix whatever that is without using milkshape
also you don't need 2.70 specifically, you can do this in any recent version. you'll need 2.8-2.9 if you want to use geom tools, but that's optional

i haven't tried it (i still use 2.79 for performance reasons), but it should be fine. after all, you're just importing/exporting generic .obj files. meshtoolkit and tsrw is where the real magic happens
geom tools don't work in 3.0, but you don't really have to use them
yw, i'm always happy to save a creator from using milkshape

TSRW is probably easiest way. You can export .obj directly, or export as package, open with S3PE and export the geom. You need TSRW to creat a new package anyway. Also, depending on the foreign mesh (sounds as you are converting TS4 to TS3), TS4 custom meshes are often much higher polycount than TS3 can handle, so you may need to reduce count, and decimate the heck out of L2 and L3. Just be careful if you need to reduce L1, as it can be easy to "lose" the appearance of the mesh.
I generally use Blender 2.80 and work in quads, and use edge select tool to control how and which vertices I remove. Other versions should work, as long as Smug Tomato's geom tools work with that version.
There is a section in MTK that has a chart (I think geom tools> mesh mirror). Also an older thread here, covers vertices counts.
Watch neck, waist and ankle seams, as TS4 and TS3 are very different body meshes, as well as UV mapping.
