Default A Palace I am working on for Chateau Peak.
As you can see I am still working on the exterior, no cc of course. Inspiration from Versailles Palace and Ludwigsburg palace.

I'm dreading furnishing this thing , but it will be fully furnished and uploaded when it is done for you all to play with if you like. If you have any ideas that are better than what I have come up with please share!

Did some more work on it when I got some free time. Already over 400k and I haven't even created rooms for the interior yet. Also I gave up on the notion of trying this without using CC, so I'll be using some of user Jim07's work.

Here's some updated screens of the Exterior. I hit a bit of an imagination block for the backside of the mansion, if anyone has any cool suggestions or links to interesting designs please send them.

I guess not many people comment on these forums, oh well. I'll keep updating this post, at least give visitors something to look at. Did some more work on it today before work, changed a few things around, still not sure about the back, would like some feedback on it.

Thank to TheJim07 for his CC, I was really getting frustrated decorating this thing until I found his stuff.

Wow. That is really pretty. I've often thought about taking on huge build projects like that but I don't have nearly enough patience. If I can't build something in a day, I'm done with it lol

The Receptacle still lives!

Thank you, patience is a big part of it, and when you find something you don't like and realize there's nothing you can do except get rid of everything you did in the past hour and start over, can be really frustrating. I started over on this thing at least 4 times. Had to destroy and remake the roof at least 6. Don't be afraid to start over on something is my best advice for big builds.

Also, use reference pictures for big builds, it really helps for the interior. For this one I am using pictures from Versailles, and Ludwigburg Palace. You're not going to get it 100%, just get the layout as close as possible, and just place things down until you find a combination you like. You can also create sims and use their personalities to build the lot, put items in the lot that those sims in particular would find pleasing.

the interior has been a lot of fun so far. I'm trying to use as little cc as possible, the ones I have just look so good. Nothing is final, I'm just kind of experimenting with different layouts and furniture types. When I submit this lot to be looked over for upload it may look a lot different.
