Sims 3 searching for more Off the Grid Mods
I really want/looking for Off the Grids stuff/mods from Eco-Living like gathering supplies to generate electricity and etc I know there's one for water so that's great :D
Would also be nice if there's like a power outage in TS3. But not sure how to do that tbh

For power outages, if you're willing to try a script mod you can control whether electric lights are usable by doing a replacement of the turn on interaction, so it does some check to see if the light should have power and doesn't allow it to be turned on if not; same for other electricity-requiring interactions, like turning on stereos and TVs or using computers. It's actually a surprisingly straightforward mod to make once you've got interaction-making down, it's just kind of boring to implement since there are so many different interactions to replace. Maybe someone else knows a more fun way to go about it.
Method for replacing interactions (not for actually making the new interaction, that's in the tutorials) is in post #13 of the code snippets thread here if you want to try!

Here's what I've found so far:
Functional washboard: https://modthesims.info/d/650072/fu...conversion.html
Power outages (unreleased, discontinued): https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=652927
Off grid inventing: https://modthesims.info/d/652624/si...g-overhaul.html
Various ani mods: https://anitmb.tumblr.com/Downloads

Haven't tried doing that kind of Mods before but hopefully, someone more expert would be willing to try it out. Thank you for the links, I'll take a look ^^

I'm running a medieval game with functional washboard, zoe22's functioning well, and ani's woodcutter tree, bucket of water, and hunting. I'm pretty impressed by the off-grid feeling. (Another enhancement for the woodcutter tree would be to require wood to run the stove. Right now it just requires wood to run the firepit. I'll ask her what she thinks. Hmm.)

Haha, me either. I'm pretty sure it would require changes to the script.
I kind of love the bucket of water mod, but it depends on what kind of off grid setting you're playing in. It makes more sense for a medieval setting than a modern off-grid lot with a water system.
Also, I make heavy use of the food processor in Ani's hunting mod to convert garden produce into relevant non-growable ingredients in Cooking Overhaul, for example pecans (the only nut in the game) into peanut butter and corn (only grain in the game, sigh) into pasta. The store's cow has a built-in mechanic for turning the milk into cheese, but the milk itself isn't an ingredient (sigh), so I haven't been able to use the food processor to turn it into milk-related Cooking Overhaul ingredients. (As I think about it, I could probably convert milk into cheese and then cheese into Cooking Overhaul cream and cheese. Clunky but doable.) The whole setup gives me a rich sense of living off the land.

Wait... I can use the food processor mod from Ani to have other ingredients? I JUST started using it. How do I do that? :o
