Default Picket Fences! Part 45.2

Picket Fences! Part 45.2

"The other day, Kevin asked me if I was his dad", said Rhys.
"What did you tell him?", asked Claudia.
"I told him the truth. It won't no need to keep it from him no longer", said Rhys.

He gave her a romantic kiss.

They madeout.

"Can we do woo hoo now?", he asked.

And Claudia said YES!

"I love you Rhys", she said.

"Yeah sure, I know you do", said Rhys.

Then they both went to sleep.

Rhys woke up during the night and was lounging on the bedroom bench.

When Claudia woke, she went over to him.
"Rhys, is there something bothering you?", she asked.

"I couldn't sleep", he said, "Go on back to bed."

"I'm a good listener, if you need to talk about anything", said Claudia.

"Claudia, what am I suppose to do when I get old? Ain't no women gonna want to do woo hoo with an old man", said Rhys.

"You still have quite a few years before you need to worry about that. And I'm sure you're be just as desirable when you're an elder as you are now. 'You'll only as old as you feel,' isn't that what they say?", said Claudia.

"Yeah, you're right. I don't have to stop living just because I'm getting older", said Rhys.

"I ain't dead yet", he said.

"You're definitely NOT dead", she said.

"Thank you Claudia. Our little talk helped a lot", said Rhys, "I'll send Noah home this afternoon, but first I'm going to tell him and Ryan that Kevin is their brother. It's about time they all know."

Then Rhys left to go home with a new outlook on life.

Later that morning downtown at the Office Of Records . . .. . .

Ryan Sawyer has come seeking information about his mother Grace.

He walked into the office and asked the clerk "Could you help me, please?"

"Yes sir, what can I do for you?", she asked.
"I need to see the certificate of death for Miss Grace Sawyer", he said.
"All the town records are over there in that cabinet. Just sign the book before you open any files", she said.

He signed the open book on top of the cabinet . . .

He found Grace's file and sit down to read. It listed her birthdate, date of death, her address and where she was buried.

He placed the file back in the cabinet and thanked the clerk.

Ryan sit on the bench in front of the building. Jake the barber sit down beside him.
"I haven't seen you around before. Did you move to Buford Falls recently or are you just visiting", asked Jake.
"I'm visiting at the moment. Can you give me directions to Buford Falls Church . . . well, actually the cemetary", said Ryan.

"Sure, it isn't too far from here. You go left, up two blocks and you'll see it. The cemetary is right beside the church. You can't miss it", said Jake.

"Thanks for your help", he told Jake.

Then Ryan left in the direction Jake had said he would find the church.

He walked up two blocks and the church came into view at the end of the street and he saw the cemetary right beside it.

He found Grace's tombstone with the baby angels carved on it. It saddened him to see his mother's final resting place, but he couldn't mourn someone he never knew.

Ryan turned around when he heard someone say "May I help you?"
The voice came from a well-dressed, elderly gentleman, he presumed to be the pastor of the church.

"Thanks, but I already found what I came here for", said Ryan.
"Were you and Grace friends?", asked Rev. Woods.
"No, I never had the pleasure of meeting her", said Ryan.

"That's too bad. She was a wonderful lady", said the pastor.

"Did you know my mother very well", said Ryan.
"Grace . . . was your mother?", said the pastor.
"Yeah, in name only. It's a long story", said Ryan.
"Let's sit down and you can tell me, if you'd like", he said.

"Well, you see, when my mother found out she was expecting a baby by some good-for-nothing fellow here in Buford Falls and he didn't want to marry her. She came to her brother's farm in Pleasentview, where I was born. George and his wife Nora couldn't have childern of their own, so Grace let them have me. Nobody in town knew that Grace had given birth to me. They thought Nora and George had finally been able to have a child", said Ryan.

"I'm sure Grace must have thought she was doing the best thing for you at the time", said the pastor.
"Yeah, I guess she did. But George and Nora were both elders by the time I became a teenager and they died soon after I became an adult. They left me the farm, but I lost it during the depression", he said.
"When did you find out Grace was your mother and they weren't your real parents", asked the pastor.
"They left a letter with their lawyer explaining everything. It said that George's younger sister Grace was my mother. I didn't try to find her back then because I figured she wouldn't want to be reminded of that time in her life", said Ryan, "But now I wish I had tried to find her and gotten to know her before she died. "

"I think we all have things we've done in the past that we wish we could go back and do over", said the pastor.
"To be sure, YOU haven't ever done anything like that", said Ryan.

"Son, I'm that good-for-nothing fellow who loved Grace, but couldn't marry her. I was already married to a woman I didn't love and Grace never told me she was expecting my child", said the pastor.

"So you're my father", asked Ryan.

Default Picket Fences! Part 46.1

Picket Fences! Part 46.1

Over at Arlene and Jimmy's place . . .

It was time for their son David's first birthday.
Jimmy brought a very happy infant to his birthday cake. He helped David blow out the candles.

Invited guests Larry, Kevin, Nancy, Emily . . .

Nathan, Joy and Sam twirled the clappers and blew the birthday horns.

Jimmy did the "baby toss" and David returned to his arms a cute toddler.

David has black hair, brown eyes and medium skintone like both his parents.

Larry played with his grandson most of the afternoon. He was able to teach David to walk.

"Your dad looks so cute playing with David", said Nancy.
"Yeah, he's taken to being a grandpa like a duck to water", said Kevin.

"Do you like being married?", asked Nathan.
"Yeah, I'm happier than I've ever been", said Jimmy.

"I'm thinking about asking Julie to be engaged", said Nathan.
"That will be great. Her and Arlene are best friends", said Jimmy.

When the party ended the guests left to go home.

Over at Rhys' place when he got home from Claudia's house, he told Noah and Ryan to sit down. He had something important to tell them.

"Boys I know y'all and Kevin are best friends, which makes what I'm going to tell you a little easier to swallow. You see, Kevin's your brother."

"Wow, that's cool! I got two big brothers", said Noah.

"Why didn't you tell me before now?", asked Ryan.

"Kevin didn't know until now. He asked me if I was his dad and I told him the truth. I couldn't tell you before him."

"That don't change nothing. We're all still be best friends, right?", said Noah.

"Yeah, right", said Ryan.

"It's cool with me", said Noah, "Can I tell Mom?"
"She already knows", said Rhys, "You better head on home, she'll be waiting for you."

While over at the church . . .

"YOU, you're my father! I'm a preacher's son?", said Ryan.

"I loved Grace and she loved me. It was only on that one occassion that things got out of hand. She didn't tell me when she discovered she was pregnant. She went away that summer supposingly to stay with an aunt who was ill. We remained friends when she returned to Buford Falls, but we never talked about what had happened.

"Let's go over to the parsonage. There's some other things you need to know."
"Alright preacher", said Ryan.
"You can call me Joseph", he said.

"As I said before Grace never told me about you. I didn't find out I had a son until my grandson moved to town", said Joseph.
"Rhys . . . he lives here in Buford Falls?", asked Ryan.

"After Grace died her lawyers contacted Rhys and told him he was Grace's heir. She left everything she owned to the boy", said the pastor.

"Yes, I imagine she would since she thought I was dead", said Ryan.

"Why did you let everyone, including Grace, think you were dead?", asked the pastor.
After Rhys' mama died I had a hard time dealing with it. I started drinking to forget. Rhys was just a toddler and I wasn't able to take care of myself, much less him. Things got pretty bad and social services came and got him. I got help with my drinking problem, then I joined up with the crew that was building the Hoover Dam. Many of the workers were killed during it's construction, so I don't know why, I just thought at the time, it was the best thing for everyone to believe I was one of the many", explained Ryan.

"I figured Rhys would have been adopted by a nice couple who wanted a child. He was an extremely beautiful little boy. I wonder why he stayed in the orphanage all those years", said Ryan.
"I don't know, but maybe after Grace heard you were dead, she wanted to keep Rhys where she would know where he was. I guess by leaving him her entire estate she was trying to make it up to him. Nobody but Grace will ever know for sure", said the pastor.

"You also have three grandsons here in town", said Joseph.
"Really, so Rhys is a family man. I'd love to meet my grandsons and Rhys' wife. Do you think Rhys would want to see me?", asked Ryan.
"He's a pretty forgiving person. Even after I told him about Grace and me, he and I became friends", said the pastor, "Oh, theres something else you should know. Rhys isn't married and never has been. He has the three boys with three diffent women in town."

Rev. Woods went over and picked up the telephone.
"Hello Rhys, can you come to the parsonage. There's someone here who wants to see you."

"Sure Grandfather, I'll be there in a few minutes", said Rhys.

Default Picket Fences! Part 46.2

Picket Fences! Part 46.2

When Rhys arrived his grandfather told him that Ryan was his father whom he believed was dead.
"Where have you been?", asked Rhys.

"I'll try to explain that to you", said Ryan.
"Sure, start explaining", said Rhys.

Then Ryan told Rhys the same story he had told Joseph.

"I know saying I'm sorry doesn't change what happened, but I hope you can try to understand", said Ryan.

"I always wished my dad was alive and now you are. I don't want to lose you again. Ain't nobody perfect", said Rhys.

Then Rhys gave his dad a hug.

"Thank you Joseph. I appologize for what I said in the cemetary", said Ryan.

Then he gave his father a hug.

"Come 'mon with me to my place. We got a lot of catching up to do", said Rhys.
"Thanks", said Ryan.

Then Ryan left to go home with Rhys . . .

And arrived soon afterwards.

"Ryan, I got someone I want you to meet". said Rhys, "This gentleman is Ryan Sawyer, your grandpa."

"Hey Ryan, I'm glad to meet my namesake", said Ryan Sr.
"Glad to meet you, too", said Ryan.

While the two Ryans were getting to know each other, Rhys called Delivery and ordered a pizza.

The pizza delivery girl arrived in just a few minutes.

Ryan accepted the delivery.

"Now that I've finished work, do you want me to stay and hangout?", asked Marie.
"Sure, come join us for lunch", said Ryan.

He took the pizza into the kitchen.

"Where's Grandpa been all these years?", asked Ryan.
"It's a long story. I'll let him tell you", said Rhys.

"Well, I came here with the intention of seeing my mother. I guess I should have expected she'd be dead by now. I didn't realize so much time had passed", said Ryan Sr.

"I remember Grace. She was a nice lady. She would always give me a generous tip", said Marie.

"We got a guest room, if you want to stay with us for a few days", said Rhys.
"Thank you, I believe I will", he said.

"You certainly grew up looking very well", Marie told Ryan.
"Thanks, I'm glad you noticed", he said.

"We got a hottub out on the patio. You want to go get in?", asked Ryan.
"Sure, not too many people around here have one of those", she said.

Ryan got in the hottub and . . .

Marie joined him.

"You been delivering pizza to our house for a lot of years. How well do you know my dad?", asked Ryan.
"Not as well as I know you. When you were a kid, you would always accept the delivery", said Marie.
"Yeah, I remember", said Ryan.

Then he asked her to cuddle.

She gave him a tender kiss.

They madeout.

He asked her to do woo hoo and she said YES!

Woo Hoo!

"That was incredible", they both agreed.

"Thank you for a wonderful afternoon", said Ryan.

"I got to go", she said, jumping out of the hottub.

Now Ryan understood what his dad had ment when he said "Being goodlooking makes it easier". It only took one look and Marie had been like putty in his hands.

Rhys and his father were chatting in the livingroom when the telephone started ringing.

Rhys answered it . . .
"Hello!", he said.

"Rhys, can you come over? I really need to see you", said Regan.
"Sure, I'll be there in a few minutes", he said.

"I got some important business to take care of, I'll be back as soon as I can", Rhys told his dad.

He met Ryan coming down the hall.
"I got to go somewhere. Entertain your grandpa while I'm gone", said Rhys.

Then he left to go to Regan's place.

He arrived in just a few minutes. Regan greeted him with a romantic hug.

"What's wrong Beautiful?", he asked.
"I'm pregnant", she said.,"I can't have a baby. I want to be a model. It's no way I can fit a baby into my schedule."
"Let's sit down and talk about it", said Rhys.

"Listen, you've been given a precious gift that's non-returnable. You'll make time in your schedule for it once it's born", said Rhys.
"I guess you'll right", she said.

"Rhys, I didn't intend for this to happen", said Regan.
"Yeah, I know. Me either", said Rhys.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of everything. Just have us a beautiful, healthy baby", said Rhys.
"Alright, as long as you promise to be here for me", she said.
"Sure, I promise", he said.

Picket Fences! Part 47

At Rhys' place a few days later . . .

Rhys called his grandfather Joseph. . .

"Can you come over. My other two sons are here and they want to meet you."

"Thank you for inviting me. I'll be right over."

When Joseph arrived a few minutes later Rhys greeted him with a friendly hug.

"These are my boys", said Rhys.

"That's Kevin, Ryan who you already know and my youngest son Noah", said Rhys, "Boys meet your great-grandfather Joseph."

Joseph gave each of his great-grandsons a friendly hug.

"Come sit down Grandfather", said Rhys.

Joseph spent an enjoyable afternoon getting to know his son, grandson and his three great-grandsons.

When Joseph said he had to go home, Rhys and then Ryan hugged him goodbye.

He left to go home just before dark. He had to start preparing his sermon for Sunday morning.

Meanwhile across the street at Mary Lou and Peter's house . . .

Today was their youngest daughter Carrie's birthday. She came to her cake.

She made a wish and blew out the candles.

Nathan Martin, Julie, Mary Lou and Peter cheered.

Then Carrie cheered as

She grew up into a cute teenager.

She grabbed a huge slice of her birthday cake.

Mary Lou and Peter each grabbed a huge slice.

Julie and Nathan went outside and cuddled in the porch swing.

"I've always loved you Julie", he said.

"Even when you beat me up at Arlene's teenage birthday party?", she teased, nuzzeling his neck.

"Yeah, even then", he laughed.

He gave her a romantic kiss.

"There's something I want to ask you", said Nathan, "Stand up."

Julie stood up and Nathan bent down on one knee.

He held up a beautiful diamond ring.

"Julie, will you be engaged to me?", he asked.

She admired the ring while Nathan waited for her answer.

"YES!", she said.

"I love you Nathan", she said.

"I love you, too", he said.

At Jonathan and Shannan's place Saturday, it was time for the twins' birthday.

Jonathan brought Scott to his cake and Shannan brought Sean to his.

They helped the toddlers blow out the candles while . . .

The invited guests tooted the horns and twirled the clappers.

Then Sean and Scott did the "toddler dance".

They both grew up into cute childern.

And they both grabbed a huge slice of their birthday cake.

This is Scott.

This is Sean.

They posed for the obligatory twins' photograph.

Which they both agreed was silly.

Picket Fences! Part 48.1

REV. JOSEPH WOODS
Joseph Ryan Woods, pastor
of Buford Falls Church, died
yesterday at the church.
Rev. Woods, an elder, was
preceded in death by his late
wife, Irene Woods. Funeral
services will be conducted
by Rev. Michael Spain. Burial
will be in the churchcemetary.

At Buford Falls Church Tuesday morning . . .

Rev. Michael Spain, the new pastor of the church, conducted the funeral services.

"You his friends and members of his congregation have come here today to pay your respects and say goodbye to a wonderful friend and respected patriarch of Buford Falls. Rev. Woods had no family except you his church family. After the death of his beloved wife Irene, he devoted himself to his ministry.

Rhys Sawyer and his father Ryan Sawyer (Joseph and Grace's grandson and son) . .

Ryan Carlson and Kevin Anderson (Rhys' sons) . . .

Noah Alan (Rhys' son) and Nathan Jordan (Jonathan's son) . . .

Shannan and Jonathan Henry . . .

Larry and Joy Anderson . . .

Mary Lou and Peter Edwards . . .

Sam and Emily Martin . . .

Jimmy and Arlene Martin . . .

Betty and Ben Jones . . .

Dr. Thomas Brian and his wife Nurse Jane . . .

Rev, Spain's wife Gwen also attended.

"I'd like to read Rev. Woods' favorite poem"Footprints", said Rev. Spain.

"One night I dreamed I was walking
Along the beach with the Lord,
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints.
Other times there was only one.
This bothered me because I noticed
During the low periods of my life when I was
Suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord, “You promised me,
Lord, that if I followed you,
You would walk with me always.
But I noticed during the most trying periods
Of my life there has only been
One set of prints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
Have you not been there for me?
The Lord replied,
“The times when you have seen only one set of footprints
It was then that I carried you.”

Those who wish to do so at this time may come forward and mourn Rev. Woods before we go to the cemetary for the graveside service."

Rev. Woods left a request for this poem verse from Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken" be read at his graveside:

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And
sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, lon I stood And looked
down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair.

I shall be telling this with a sigh.
Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took
the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

At Rhys' place after the funeral service . . .

"You know, I think after Joseph told me about him and Grace , he was finally able to forgive himself. He always blamed himself, but it was either one of them's fault, it just happened", said Ryan.

"We should be thankful it did happen or none of us would be here today", said Rhys.

"I don't understand why Grace didn't tell him she was pregnant. If she had, he might have married her", said Ryan.

"He couldn't marry her. He was already married to Irene. And preachers ain't allowed to get divorced", said Rhys.

"Like in that poem he wanted read at his funeral. There was two roads and he took the one he thought was right, but then found out too late that he should have took the other one", explained Kevin,"Everybody's done things they were sorry for later, but you can't change something that's already happened. You just make the best of it."

"Yeah, like Dad does", laughed Ryan.

"Kevin, you want to go to the park and hang out?"

"Thanks, but I better go on home. I need to get some sleep before I go to work tonight."

"How you like being a paramedic?", asked Rhys.

"I'm just getting started, but I think I'm going to like it", said Kevin.

Ryan called transpotation and asked them to send a taxicab for him.

The taxicab arrived a few minutes later . . .

And Ryan hurried to get in.

The taxi stopped at the entrance to Buford Falls Park and Ryan got out.

As soon as he entered the park he saw a familiar face.

He strutted over to say hello.

"Hey Beautiful", he said, not knowing her name.

"Hey Ryan!", she said, giving him a friendly hug.

"I was wondering what happened to you", she said.

"I been kinda busy. But hey, I'm here now!", he said", You wanna get in the hottub?", he asked.

"Sure!", she said.

"Come 'mon, what you waiting for?", he said.

Ryan watched approvingly as she got in.

"Come over here with me", said Ryan.

"Alright", she said.

"Now ain't this better?", he asked.

"Yes it is", she said.

"You know something, you're really beautiful.", she said.

"Everybody says I look like my dad", said Ryan.

"Who's your dad?", she asked.

"Rhys Sawyer", he said.

"When we were in the hottub at the lake, I would have done more than makeout, if you had asked", she said.

He gave her a passionate kiss . . .

Which she had no problem returning.

"Can we do woo hoo now?", he asked.

And she said YES!

Woo Hoo!

"That was wonderful!", they both agreed.

When she started getting out of the hottub Ryan asked "Where you going?"

"It's getting late. I got to go home. Call me sometimes", she said.

"Hey wait up Beautiful!", he shouted.

"I don't have your telephone number", he said.

"I'm in the phonebook", she said.

"I don't know your name", he said.

"I'm Jennifer Custer", she said.

Then he gave her a romantic kiss goodbye.

"I really got to go", she said.

"I'll call you", he said.

Then Jennifer left to go home.

Default Picket Fences! Part 49.1

Picket Fences! Part 49.1

Over at Mary Lou's house, Julie and Mary Lou were getting ready to go shopping for wedding clothes.

Mary Lou's daughter Julie called her best friend Arlene Martin. She had asked Arlene to be her maid-of-honor.

"Are you ready to go shopping for our dresses?, asked Julie.

"Yes, Mom's already here to stay with David", said Arlene.

"We'll be there in a few minutes", said Julie.

Then she called Transpotation and ordered a taxicab for multiple Sims.

Julie went out and got in the taxicab and waited for her mom.

Mary Lou finally came out of the house not looking much like wanting to go shopping.

They soon arrived at Buford Ford Mall . . .

And headed for the clothing store.

Julie, Arlene and Mary Lou browsed through the racks of formal clothes.

Julie found a bridal gown she liked and took it into the changing booth.

When she came out of the booth she asked "How do y'all like this one?"

"It's too plain", said Arlene.

"It makes you look like you're pregnant", said Mary Lou.

"Yes, you're right Mom", she said, after looking at herself in the floor-length mirror.

Arlene found a dress she liked and took it into the changing booth.

"I like this one", she said, "How about y'all?"

"That color looks nice with your hair", said Mary Lou.

"You look beautiful", said Julie.

Julie tried on another dress.

"Well, how about this one?"

"I don't like that one", Mary Lou said.

"I don't think that style is right for you", said Arlene.

"I like this one", said Julie, "What about y'all?"

"I like that one", said Mary Lou.

"Yes, it's pretty and looks good on you", said Arlene.

Arlene tried on a blue gown next.

"How about this one?", she said.

"That's a nice color", said Mary Lou.

"You look amazing", said Julie.

Then Arlene came out in a green gown.

"They all look good on you", said Mary Lou, "Marriage really agrees with you."

"Yeah, you just have to decide on a color", said Julie.

"Mom, Dad said to be sure you got a dress for yourself". said Julie.

"I probably got one at home I could wear, but I'll try this one on", she said.

She went into the booth and came out in a purple printed dress.

"Well, how do I look?", she asked.

"You look gorgeous Mom", said Julie.

"Yes, you do", agreed Arlene.

After they each decided on the dress they liked, Mary Lou paid the cashier for their purchases.

They stopped to purchase magazines to take home.

MaryLou purchased movie magazine for Carrie and a Highbrow Magazine for Peter.

Arlene also purchased a movie magazine . . .

And Julie purchased a Sci-Fi magazine, since Nathan was interested in that subject.

Mary Lou called Transpotation and ordered a taxicab to tae them home.

When the taxicab arrived Mary Lou and Julie got in . . .

And told Arlene goodbye.

They soon arrived home,

"I'm never going shopping again", said Mary Lou, "I'm exhausted."

Mary Lou and Julie walked in the frontdoor.

Julie went into the kitchen and gave her dad a hug.

"Thank you for my wedding dress Dad", she said.

"You're welcome sweetheart", said Peter.

"I'm so excited. I'm going to call Nathan and tell him I got my dress", said Julie.

"Don't forget, he can't see it before the wedding", said Mary Lou.

"Yes Mom, I know", she said.

Carrie started reading the movie magazine right away.

"Did you get yourself a new dress?", asked Peter.

"Yes I did", said Mary Lou, "And I look gorgeous in it."

At Claudia's house . . .

She picked up the telephone and called a Sim.

"Hello Rhys, can you come over. I need to talk to you about something", she said.

"Sure, I guess it won't hurt. I ain't got nothing else to do", he said.

When he arrived Claudia greeted him with a hug.

"I asked you over so I could appologize for the way I acted when you told me Regan was pregnant", she said.

"Does this mean you're okay with it?", he asked.

"Yes, I don't own you. You're free to do what you want with whoever you want", she said.

Before they could discuss it any further, Noah came home from school and walked into the livingroom.

He and Rhys played Punch U-Punch Me. Claudia was in the kitchen fixing lunchmeat sandwiches.

After they finished eating Noah helped his mother clean up the table.

He gave Claudia a hug and . . .

He gave Rhys a hug.

Then he went to bed and was soon sound asleep.

"Can we have a sleepover tonight?", Rhys asked Claudia.

"Yes, if you're a good boy", she teased.

Later while they were relaxing on Claudia's bed . . .

"Did Noah tell you he was planning on joining the Navy when he became as adult?", she asked.

"No, he ain't said nothing to me", said Rhys.

"I just hate the thought of him being gone for two whole years", she said.

"If that's what he's got his mind set on doing, it ain't nothing you or me can do to change it", said Rhys.

"Yes I know, he's just like someone else I know", she said.

"Do you mean me?", asked Rhys.

"Yes, YOU", said Claudia

"You can't keep him a little boy forever, Claudia", said Rhys.

"Yes, I know", she said.

Then he gave her a romantic kiss.

They madeout.

"Can we do woo hoo now?", he asked.

And Claudia said YES!

"Was I a good boy?", he asked.

"Oh yes", she said.

"So does that mean I can sleep over?", he asked.
"Yes", she said.

Then the telephone started ringing and Claudia went to answer it.

"Hello", she said.

"Is Rhys over there?", a female voice asked.

"I'll get him", said Claudia.

"Hello", he said.

"Rhys, I'm in labor and I'm scared! Can you come over?", asked Regan.

"Sure, I'll be right over", he said.

"That was Regan, she's in labor. I got to go", said Rhys.

"Yes, of course", said Claudia.

Then Rhys left to go to Regan's place.

Oh goody, I am looking forward to seeing Rhys new baby and also for Noah to join the Navy. I think it is a good choice for him.
Gotta give Claudia lots of credit for being so patient with Ryhs. I would of kicked him to the curb.

Default Picket Fences! Part 49.2

Picket Fences! Part 49.2

Over at Regan Tyler's place . . .

She was in labor with her first baby and she was scared.

She tried to forget about the pain by thinking about how she got herself in this situation in the first place.

She was relieved when Rhys walked into the livingroom.

Seeing the concerned expression on his face made her feel better. She continued with her labor . . .

And surprizingly delivered a beautiful baby girl.

"She's the the most beautiful baby I've ever seen?", said Regan.

They named their daughter Megan Grace. Megan has tan skin and brown hair like her daddy with green eyes like her mama.

Regan handed Rhys his daughter. He held her up so she could "talk to the baby".

He fed her a bottle of milk.

He changed her diaper.

Then he put her in her crib for a nap.

Rhys went back into the livingroom.

"What's the matter?", he asked, when he saw the sad look on Regan's face.

"I'm afraid I'm going to be an awful mother", she said.

"Don't worry about something that ain't even happened. You're going to be a wonderful mother", he said, "Let's sit down and talk about it.".

"What am I going to do when I have to work in the studio?", she said.

"We can put an extra crib upstairs next to your desk. That way you can keep an eye on her while you're working", said Rhys.

"She's going to be an toddler before long. Then what am I going to do with her?", said Regan.

"See, there you go again. Worrying about something that ain't even happened", he said.

"I'll come back to see y' all tomorrow", he said.

Then he gave her a tender kiss goodbye . . .

Before he left to go home.

Megan woke up from her nap . . .

And began teaching Regan how to be a mother.

Across town Jonathan and Shannan Henry have moved their family to a new place.

The family was in the livingroom.

"What do you guys think about the house?", asked Jonathan.

"I think it's a cool place. There's a lot more space than the houseboat had", said Nathan.

Sean was snuggling on the sofa with his mom.

"I'm going to miss the houseboat, since it was the place where we became a family. It's going to be nice having a big yard for the boys to play in.
The following morning . . .

"These pancakes are great", said Jonathan, "I hope you boys find beautiful wives who can cook."

"I ain't never getting married", said Sean, "I'm going to be like "Uncle" Rhys."

"There ain't no girl who'd marry you anyway."

"I'd like to get married one day, but I want to be a Professional Party Guest like Dad before I do."

The school bus soon arrived.

Scott and Sean hurried to get on.

Nathan took his time. School was the last place he wanted to go.

Jonathan went upstairs to play pinball and . . .

Shannan ran to the toilet to throw up.

Default Picket Fences! Part 50

Picket Fences! Part 50

Across town at Joyce's old house . . .

Her grandaughter Arlene, her husband Jimmy and their son David moved in.

Jimmy carried David into the house. He sit him down on the floor of the nursery. He gave the toddler his favorite toy to keep him entertained

Jimmy and Arlene were drinking coffee in the kitchen after they had finished what needed to be done.

"I didn't ever see the inside of this house while your grandma lived here. It's a great little house", said Jimmy.

"I've always liked it. Grandma just went a little overboard with the pink. I did leave the pink flowered wallpaper in her bedroom . . . I mean our bedroom", said Arlene.

"Let's invite Nathan and Julie over. I'd love for them to see the house", said Arlene.

Jimmy called Nathan and invited him over.

"Yeah, I'd love to come see you guys. I'll be there in a few minutes."

Arlene called Julie and invited her over.

"I'd love to see how your house. I'll be right over."

When Nathan and Julie arrived they gave each other a romantic kiss.

Then they went into the house together.

"The house really looks nice. I love the wallpaper in this room", said Julie.

"We changed all the wallpaper except for the one in Grandma's bedroom. It's really a pretty print and I'd like to keep it to remember her by. Well, at least for awhile", said Arlene.

"My grandparents have decided to go to Florida to live. They said Nathan and I can live in their house", said Julie.

"Their house is the one right next door. It's going to be great to have y'all as neighbors", said Jimmy.

"Our kids will be able to play together and be best friends", said Arlene.

"I can't think of anyone I'd rather have as neighbors than you and Arlene

Arlene invited Julie and Nathan to stay for supper. She fixed a big plate of spagetti and served it to their guests.

"When we get married and Julie learns how to cook, we'll invite you guys over for supper", said Nathan.

"I know how to cook a little. My grandma gave me her cookbook. She said she wouldn't need it in Florida", said Julie.

"Did y'all hear the lastest news? Your neighbor Rhys Sawyer has another baby", said Jimmy.

"Who's the baby's mama?", asked Nathan.

"That pretty redheaded photographer who has a studio over on Main Street", said Jimmy.

"Her name's Regan Tyler. I met her when I moved into my apartment. She seemed like a nice girl, but then you never know", said Arlene.

"I think it's a shame that Rhys keeps having all these babies, but evidently the women don't know how to say no to him", said Julie, "It's not all his fault."

Arlene, Julie and Jimmy went back into the livingroom to chat.

And Nathan went into the nursery to play with David.

David followed him back to the livingroom. Nathan told the toddler goodbye.

Then he and Julie said goodbye to Jimmy and Arlene . . .

Then left to go home.

At Rhys' place the next afternoon . . .

"Son, there's something I need to ask you to do for me", said Ryan.

"Sure Dad, what do you need?", asked Rhys.

"I want to buy Jonathan's houseboat, but I ain't got enough money. Will you loan me the rest?", he asked.

"Sorry, I can't loan you none", said Rhys.

"Well, just forget it! I should have known better than to ask", he said.

"Dad, I can't loan you the money, but I'll give you as much as you need", said Rhys, "If Grace had known you was still alive, half of everything I own would be yours."

Then Rhys gave his father a hug.

"Thank you son", said Ryan.

"Don't mention it", said Rhys.

Ryan called Jonathan and said "I want to buy your houseboat. Yeah, I got enough cash."

Ryan was cuddling in the hottub on the patio with Jennifer Custer, the townie he met at the lake.

They madeout.

"Can we do woo hoo now?", asked Ryan.

"Is that the only reason you called and invited me over?", she asked.

"Well . . . yeah. Ain't that the reason you came?", he asked.

"I thought when you called, it was because we had something special between us", she said.

"Hey, where you going!", he called.

"I got to get out!", she said.

"Oh NO! It can't be", she said when she got her first "baby bump"..

"Ryan, we got a problem!", said Jennifer.

"What's wrong?", he asked.

"If you get out and come here, you'll see", she said.

"Alright, what's the problem?", he asked.

"I just got my first baby bump. I'm pregnant", she said.

"Is it mine?", he asked.

"Of course it's yours. You're the only one I did woo hoo with", she said.

"Look, don't worry. I'll think of something", said Ryan.

"Well, you better think of something fast. This baby isn't going to wait too long", she said.

"I'll call you tomorrow. I promise", he said.

Then Jennifer left to go home.

To talk and to listen, to trust and appreciate one another; to respect and cherish each other's uniqueness, and to support, comfort, and strengthen each other through life's joys and sorrows. May you promise to share hopes, thoughts, and dreams as you build your lives together. May your lives be ever intertwined, your love keeping you together. May you enjoy length of days, fulfillment of hopes, and peace and content of mind as you, day by day, live and fulfill the terms of this covenant you have made with one another. And now, for as much as you have made your vows, each to the other, and have declared the same by giving and receiving your rings, I pronounce that you are husband and wife. Congratulations, you may kiss the bride", said the pastor.

Nathan gave Julie a romantic kiss.

Default Picket Fences! Part 52

Picket Fences! Part 52

At the end of Part 50 Julie and Nathan left in a taxi to find their own place.

The taxi took them to the house Julie's grandparents gave her when they moved to Florida.

When they got out of the taxi and hurried into the house.

Nathan carried Julie over the threshold.

He gave her a romantic kiss.

"I'm going to take a bath and change into something more confortable", she said.

"Alright Mrs. Martin. I'll wait for you in the bedroom", he said.

Nathan relaxed on the bed and waited for Julie to join him.

"I think our wedding was beautiful", said Julie.

"Yes, I think it was too", he said.

"And you were the most beautiful bride I've ever seen", he said.

"I felt like a princess marrying my handsome prince", she said.

Nathan gave her a romantic kiss.

They madeout.

Are you ready to do woo hoo with your prince?", he asked.

And Julie said "YES!"

"I love you Nathan", she said.

"I love you too", he said.

At Rhys' place . . .

Ryan came into the livingroom and said "Dad, I need to talk to you about something."

"Sure, sit down", said Rhys.

"Jennifer's pregnant and I don't know what to do", said Ryan.

"Is the baby yours?", asked Rhys.

"Yeah, it's mine. She ain't done woo hoo with nobody but me", he said.

"You could marry her or if you don't want to do that, I've got another idea", said Rhys.

"I don't want to marry nobody", said Ryan.

"Well, ask her to come over so we can discuss my other idea", said Rhys.

Ryan called Jennifer and invited her over. She said she would be glad to come.

She arrived a few minutes later.

Ryan greeted her with a hug.

"My dad wants to talk to you", he said.

"Ryan told me you were going to have his baby", said Rhys.

"Come sit down, so we can discuss it", said Rhys.

As soon as Jennifer sit down Rhys asked "Do you want to keep the baby and raise it yourself?"

"Yes, I do. I already have a job, so I think I'll be able to manage", she said.

"Well, since it's my son's baby and he ain't gonna mary you. I'll provide you a small house and give you an allowance each month for the baby", said Rhys.

"I wouldn't feel right taking your money", she said.

"Nonsense, that baby is my grandchild. The money will help you with the extra expenses", said Rhys.

"Alright, I don't want to deprive my baby of anything. I'll agree with what you suggested. Does that sound alright to you Ryan?", she asked.

"Yeah, sounds good to me", said Ryan.

"There's a nice little house over on Crumbletop Lane that's available. I'll see to getting it ready for you to move in as soon as possible", said Rhys.

"Thank you Rhys", said Jennifer, "I guess I better be going on home now."

Ryan kissed her goodbye.

And Jennifer left to go home.

At Jonathan's place the following day . . .

It was time for Jonathan's oldest son to grow up into an adult.

Nathan came to his cake and blew out the candles while everyone cheered.

He started growing up . . .

And became an adult.

It started getting late, so the invited guests . . .

eft to go home.

The following morning the schoolbus and the carpool stopped in front of the house.

The twins got on the bus to go to school.

The carpool was for Nathan. He started his first day on the job as a Service Station Attendant.

The next day at Arlene and Jimmy's house . . .

Joy and Kevin . . .

Larry . . .

Emily and Julie . . .

And Nathan had been invited to a birthday party for David.

When it was time Jimmy brought their son David to his birthday cake.

He helped the toddler blow out the candles.

Joy, Arlene and Emily cheered.

Jimmy sit his son on the floor . . .

And David grew up well into a cute child.

The next morning the school bus came at 8:30 A.M.

To pick up David for his first day of school

Arlene and Jimmy's carpool also came at 8:30 A.M.

Over at Regan's place that afternoon . . .

She called Rhys to remind him that today was Megan's birthday. She was having a family party and asked him to bring his boys.

Rhys arrived a few minutes later with his three sons (Ryan, Kevin and Noah).

Rhys held Megan Grace so Noah could "talk to the baby".

Then Ryan "talked to the baby".

Regan chatted with Ryan and Kevin.

When it was time for Megan Grace to grow up, Rhys brought her to her cake.

Kevin, Regan, Ryan and Noah blew the horns and twirled the clappers.

Rhys helped the infant blow out the candles.

He did the "baby toss" and . . .

Megan Grace returned to his arms, a cute toddler.

Megan looks a lot like her mama with Rhys' coloring.

Ryan and Noah played a game of chess.

Regan and Rhys sat on the sofa together.

Megan asked for Daddy's attention.

He started teaching her to walk.

"Come 'mon Megan Grace. Walk to Daddy", said Rhys.

"Good girl!", he said, when she took a few steps on her own.

"She'll be walking all over the place before too long", said Regan.

When it started getting late, Regan said goodbye to Ryan.

She told Noah goodbye . . .

And was given a friendly hug goodbye from Kevin.

Then they all left to go home.

Rhys gave Megan Grace a bath . . .

Then he put her in her crib and tucked her in.

"Can your daughter's mama have some attention now?", asked Regan.

Rhys turned around and gave her a makeout kiss.

"Can you spend the night?", she asked.

"Sure", he said.

Regan relaxed on her bed and asked Rhys to join.

"Your sons are goodlooking. They remind me a lot of you", she said.

"Yeah, I can see a little bit of myself in each one of them. I think Ryan is the most like me because he's lived with me all his life", said Rhys.

"Where is his mom?", she asked.

"Ryan's mama is my maid. NPC's ain't allowed to have childern, so right after he was born, she left him with me to raise", he answered.

"What about the other two?", she asked.

"Kevin's mama is one of my neighbors. He lives with her and her husband. And Noah lives with his mama", explained Rhys.

"I hope you and Megan will have the same type relationship as you have with your sons", said Regan.

"Yeah, I hope we can, too", he said.

"That's enough talking", he said.

Then he gave her a romantic kiss.

They madeout.

"You want to do woo hoo?", he asked.

"Of course, that's why I asked you to spend the night", she said.

Woo hoo!

"I love you", she said.

"Yeah, I know you do", he answered.

They slept together the rest of the night.

They were awakened early the next morning by Megan crying.

Regan took her out of her crib.

She changed her diaper and dressed her for the day.

She put Megan down in front of her dollhouse.

While Regan was fixing breakfast Rhys came into the kitchen with Megan.

He put her in her highchair and gave her a bowl of oatmeal.

Megan ate her breakfast while . . .

Her parents ate theirs.

After breakfast Rhys read a story to Megan because it was on eof her wants.

Then he gave her a family kiss.

He kissed Regan goodbye.

Then left to go home.

Default Picket Fences! Part 54

Picket Fences! Part 54

There were two babies born in Buford Falls this week.

Over at Jonathan's place . . .

Jonathan and his three sons held their breath as they watched . . .

Shannan give birth to a baby girl.

The baby has her mother's skin, eyes and blonde hair.

They named their daughter Lauren.

The next afternoon at the church parsonage . . .

Rev. Spain and his wife Gwen were cuddling on the sofa.

When she got up he asked "Where are you going sweetheat?"

"I'm not going anywhere. The baby's coming", she said.

Then she delivered a baby boy.

"Michael, we have a son", she said, as she handed him the baby.

The baby has green eyes and blonde hair like his father. They named their son Jacob

After he fed Jacob a bottle of milk and put him in his crib . . .

The pastor thanked God for giving them a healthy son.

Then Gwen joined her husband in prayer.

Jennifer Custer moved into this house on Crumbletop Lane a few days later.

Nick Carras from next door came over that morning to welcome her to the neighborhood.

"Would you like to come in for a cup of coffee? I just made a fresh pot. I can't seem to get going in the morning until I've had my coffee", she said.

"You sound like me. I feel the same way", said Nick, "Thanks, I'd love a cup."

Nick went into the kitchen and poured himself a cup of coffee. Jennifer poured herself a cup and joined him.

"Where did you live before you moved here?", he asked.

"I've lived in Buford Falls all my life. I was a Townie until recently. When I got pregnant, as I'm sure you noticed, the baby's grandfather found me this house to live in", she said, "His son isn't going to marry me and make me a decent woman, in case you're wondering ."

"I did notice, but I wasn't going to say anything. You seem pretty decent to me. A wedding ring isn't going to make you a better person", he said.

"Thank you for saying that. I think I'm better off being an unwed mother, than having to force the baby's father to marry me", she said.

"I enjoyed the coffee and your company even more", said Nick.

"I enjoyed chatting with you, too", she said.

"Bye Jennifer, I'll be seeing you again", he said, as he left to go home.

"What a nice man and he doesn't even mind me being pregnant by someone else", Jennifer thought to herself.

On the other side of town at Claudia Alan's house . . .

Claudia called Rhys and said "I'm having a birthday party for Noah when he gets home from school this afternoon. Can you, Ryan and Kevin come over?"

"Sure, we'll be there", said Rhys.

"Good, I'll call Nathan and invite him, too", she said.

Rhys, Kevin and Ryan soon arrived.

"I'm glad y'all could come", she said.

"I wouldn't miss my son's birthday", said Rhys.

A few minutes later Noah came home from school.

He brought Carrie Edwards home with him on the bus.

When it was time, Noah came to his cake and started growing up before he could blow out the candles.

Carrie started tickling Ryan.

He smiled that beautiful smile just for her or so she thought.

Then he playfully tickled her back.

Rhys tickled Claudia.

But instead of tickling him back, she ran to the bathroom and threw up in the toilet.

When she came out of the bathroom Rhys asked "Can me and you have a sleepover tonight?"

"Yes, you're welcome to stay", said Claudia.

Carrie . . .

Kevin . . .

And Nathan and Ryan left to go home.

"I'm going on to bed", said Noah, "I want to get down to the recruiting office early in the morning."

"So you're serious about joining the Navy?", asked Claudia.

"Yeah, that's what I want to do Mom", he said.

Noah hugged his dad goodnight.

He got into bed and was soon sound asleep.

"Are you ready to go to bed? We ain't got to do nothing if you're too tired", said Rhys.

"It'll be alright", she said.

"Wait for me. I got something to do first", he said.

Rhys came out of the house and walked down the sidewalk.

Then he disappeared off the lot.

He returned a few minutes later and . . .

The Gnome appeared in front of him on the sidewalk.

When he went back into the house . . .

And joined Claudia who was relaxing on the bed.

"Noah's going to the Navy recuiting office in the morning. He's determined that's what he wants to do", she said.

"He's an adult now. It ain't nothing we can do to stop him", said Rhys.

"We should be proud that he wants to serve his country", said Rhys.

"Yes, I guess you're right", said Claudia.

"Is that what you wanted to talk about?", he asked.

"No, there's something else", she said.

"What is it?", he asked.

"Rhys, I'm going to have another baby", she said.

"Well, that's another thing we can't do nothing about. It ain't something we planned on happening, but it just happens sometimes", he said.

"I thought you might be upset. You know, me getting pregnant a second time", she said.

"You didn't get that way all by yourself. I think I helped a little", he said.

Then he gave her a romantic kiss.

They madeout.

"You want to do woo hoo?", she asked.

"Yeah, sure", he said.

Woo Hoo!

"I love you", she said.

"Yeah, I . . . love you, too", he said.

Having finally hearing Rhys say "I love you", Claudia was happier than she'd ever been in her whole life.

He stayed with her the whole night. That's all that mattered for now.

Default Picket Fences! Part 55

Picket Fences! Part 55

Over at Buford Falls Hospital . . .

Julie Martin has come to get the results from the tests Dr. Brian did yesterday.

"Sit down Julie", the doctor said.

"Did the tests show the reason I haven't been able to get pregnant?", she asked.

"Yes, they did", he said.

"You have a condition called Polycystic ovary syndrome. Your ovaries don't produce normal follicles in which the eggs can mature. Without mature eggs it's impossible to get pregnant", he explained.

"Isn't there anything you can do to make my ovaries produce whatever it is the eggs need to mature?", she asked.

"I wish I could help you Julie. I'm sorry, but there's no cure for Polycystic ovary syndrome", he said.

"What am I going to do? We want a baby more than anything else in the world", she said.

"Perhaps you might want to consider adopting a baby. Social Services have some infants and toddlers who need good parents", he said.

"Thank you Dr. Brian. I'll discuss it with my husband tonight", she said.

Julie told the doctor goodbye . . .

And left to go home.

At Nick Carras' place . . .

He had the day off and called Jennifer.

"Hello Jennifer, can you come over for lunch?", he asked.

"Thank you, I'll be right over", she said.

When Jennifer arrived a few minutes later, Nick greeted her with a friendly hug.

"I ordered a pizza for our lunch. I hope you're hungry", he said.

"I'm always hungry", she said.

"As well you should be. You're eating for two", he joked.

When the pizza arrived Nick accepted the delivery.

He opened the box and took the pizza into the kitchen

"What type work do you do?", asked Jennifer.

"I'm in the Elite Forces of the Military Career. What kind of work do you do?", he asked.

"I was a Hostess before I went on maternity leave. I'll be able to go back after the baby's born", she said.

After they finished eating Nick and Jennifer went into the livingroom . . .

"If you don't mind my asking, are you still dating your baby's daddy?", asked Nick.

"Not really. I'm ashamed to tell you about my relationship with him", she said.

"Come over here", he said.

"You don't have to talk about it if it bothers you", he said.

"I don't mind. Maybe talking about it will help me understand why it happened", she said, "I was at the lake one afternoon when I saw this beautiful man getting out of the water. He got in the hottub and asked me to join. I let him kiss me and then we madeout. I'd never done that before with anyone, but there was just something about him. Then he had to leave, but he said he'd call me", she explained., "He didn't call me after that. Then one day I saw him in the park and I ended up in the hottub with him, again. Something about him made me say yes when he asked to do woo hoo."

"His kind only wants one thing and he knows how to use his goodlooks to get it", said Nick, "It wasn't your fault that you fell for him."

"Thank you. That makes me feel better about what happened", she said.

"I guess I'd better go. I've taken up enough of your day off", said Jennifer.

"Nonsense, it was much more enjoyable with you here", he said.

Then Jennifer left to go home.

At Claudia's house the next day . . .

She and Rhys were playing a game of chess while they were waiting for Noah to come back from the Navy recruiting office.

When the telephone started ringing . . .

Claudia got up and answered it.

"Hello", she said.

"Can I talk to Rhys?", asked Regan.

"Hold on, I'll get him", said Claudia.

"It's Regan", said Claudia.

"Hello", said Rhys.

"Rhys, I have a photo shoot today for a big ad campaign. Can you come over and get Megan?", she said, "It'll only be for a couple of hours."

"Sure, I'll be there in a few minutes", he said.

"I'm going to get Megan. Regan wants me to keep her for a couple of hours. Can I bring her over here or would you rather I take her to my place?", he said.

"You can bring her back here. I don't mind", said Claudia.

"I was hoping you'd say that. I won't be gone long", he said.

Then he kissed her goodbye . . .

And left to go to Regan's place.

Rhys arrived a few minutes later.

"I'm sorry I had to call you at Claudia's. When I called your place, Ryan said you were there", she said.

"It's alright. She ain't mad", he said.

"I really appreciate you coming over. I have a photo shoot today and Megan would just be in the way", said Regan, "Wait right there and I'll go get her."

Regan returned in a few minutes carrying Megan.

"You be a good girl for your daddy", she told the toddler, giving her a kiss goodbye.

"Come 'mon, let's go bye-bye", said Rhys.

Then he left with Megan to go back to Claudia's house.

Picket Fences! Part 56

"This is where your brother Noah and his mama Claudia lives", Rhys told Megan.

When Rhys walked in the door carrying Megan . . .

Claudia said "She's beautiful Rhys. She looks a lot like you."

"Yeah, she does", he said.

Claudia picked up Megan and held her when she asked for attention.

Megan played with the toy ship that belonged to Noah when he was her age.

Rhys joined Megan in playing with the toy ship.

Claudia rubbed her belly while watching them play.

Regan finished the photo shoot earlier than expected, so decided to come pick up Megan from Claudia's house.

But before she went to the door, she looked all around . . .

She went over to the Gnome and picked it up . . .

And it disappeared. With both her parents being Gnomaholics, I wonder if Megan has inherited it?

Then she went up on the porch and rang the doorbell.

She watched Rhys and Megan playing with the toy ship for a few minutes . . .

Then went inside.

"I didn't know you were coming to pick up Regan here. She'll be ready to go as soon as I change her diaper", said Claudia.

"Thank you", said Regan.

"If you had called, I would have brought her home. It won't no need for you to come here", said Rhys.

"I finished early and thought I'd save you the trouble", said Regan.

"I'd like to start getting Megan for regular visits", said Rhys.

"We'll discuss it the next time you come over", she said.

"Here we are. All ready to go home", said Claudia.

"Thank you so much Claudia for letting Rhys bring our daughter over here", said Regan.

"Come on baby, let's go home, she said."

A short while later Noah returned home from the recruiting office.

"Did you join the Navy?", asked Claudia.
"Yep, I have to get a haircut and pick up my uniform before I ship out next week", said Noah.
"That's awfully soon", she said.
"Don't worry Mom, there's plenty of time before I leave", he said.

Over at Julie and Nathan's house . . .

When Julie got home from the hospital she called her mom and said

"Mom, I went to see Dr. Brian and he did some tests. I have a mediacl condition called Polycystic ovary syndrome."

"I've never heard of that. What is it?", said Mary Lou.

"He explained it to me. My body doesn't produce whatever it takes to produce mature eggs. Mom, I'm not ever going to be able to have a baby", said Julie.

"You could adopt a baby. Why don't you discuss it with Nathan?", said Mary Lou.

"That's the same thing Dr. Brian suggested. That seems to be the only way we'll ever going to have one", said Julie, "I hope Nathan will agree to it."

Over at Julie and Nathan's house . . .

When Nathan came home from work Julie asked him to join her on the sofa.

"I went to see Dr. Brian this morning. The tests he did yesterday showed him why I haven't gotten pregnant", she said.

"What did he say was the problem?", asked Nathan.

"My ovaries don't produce whatever it takes to make the eggs mature. Without mature eggs, it's no way we can have a baby. My condition is called Polysystic Ovary Syndrome", she explained.

"Can he give you something that will cure it?", he asked.

"He said there wasn't anything he could do. He suggested that we might want to adopt a baby", she said.

"Is that what you want to do sweetheart?", he asked.

"It's the only way we'll ever going to have a baby", she said.

"Alright, then let's do it", he said.

"Are you sure? I don't want you to do it just for me", said Julie.

"I want a baby just as much as you do. Social Servies can find the perfect one for us", he said.

Nathan went to the telephone and called Services and asked to adopt a baby.

The lady who answered the telephone said "You will make fine parents.

I'll come by tomorrow at 10 A.M. to drop off your baby."

"Thank you, we'll be waiting", said Nathan.

"We're going to have a baby. The lady on the phone said we would make fine parents", he said.

"Thank you", said Julie.

Picket Fences! Part 57

At Ryan Sawyer's place . . .

His houseboat was decorated in red, white and blue for a "Going Away Party". His grandson Noah Alan joined the Navy and is leaving tomorrow. The family and a few close friends were invited.

Nathan was chatting with Noah, who was sporting his new GI haircut and his Navy uniform.

Shannan handed their daughter Lauren to Jonathan.

Then she played Red Hands with their son Sean.

Sean chatted with Noah.

Then he asked Jonathan to play Red Hands.

Ryan's girlfriend Mary and . . .

Kevin's girlfriend Heather had been invited.

Claudia and Rhys were sitting together.

The following are some candid shots from the party:

When the party ended and everybody had said their goodbyes to Noah . . .

The family and guests left to go home.

The following morning over at Claudia's place . . .

Noah was playing Punch U-Punch Me with Rhys.

Claudia was still upset that Noah was leaving.

"You won this time, but I want a rematch when I come home on leave", said Noah.

Bye Dad, I'm going to miss you", he said, giving Rhys a hug goodbye.

Noah went into the kitchen to say goodbye to Claudia.

"I'm leaving now Mama. The taxicab just stopped in front of the house", he said.

"Let me know when you have the baby", he said.

"Alright, I will", she said.

"Bye Mama, I love you", he said.

"Bye sweetheart, I love you, too", she said.

"I'm going to miss you", he said.

When the taxicab driver blew the horn for the third time . . . Noah hurried out of the house.

He got into the taxicab. He was leaving the only home he had ever known . . .

But he was looking forward to seeing a whole different world.

At 10 A.M. over at Julie and Nathan's house the Social Worker's van pulled up across the street.

She got out, reached inside the van and took out a cute toddler.

When Nathan came outside, the Social Worker put her down on the grass.

"Here's Amanda, your daughter", she said. Then she got back in the van and drove away.

Julie ran over and picked her up.

"Hello Amanda, I'm your mama", she said.

She took her into the nursery. Amanda went straight for the dollhouse and Nathan joined her in playing with it.

Julie watched for a few minutes, then went into the livingroom.

Nathan came into the livingroom . . .

"Are you as happy as I am?", he asked.

"Yes, I have everything I ever wanted", said Julie.

"Do you think Amanda remembers anything before she came here?", asked Julie.

"We're her parents now. I think she's too little to remember anyone else", he said.

"I really didn't expect her to be so beautiful. I can't help but wonder what they looked like", said Julie.

"She's ours now, that's all that matters", he said.

Julie went back into the nursery to play dollhouse with her daughter.

That afternoon at Heather and Mary's place . . .

Mary called Ryan and invited his over and . . .

Heather called Kevin and invited him.

Heather and Kevin cuddled on one of the loveseats.

And Mary and Ryan cuddled on the other one.

There's something I've been wanting to ask you", said Kevin.

Then they stood up and he got down on one knee and said "Heather will you be engaged to me?"

He held up a small box that contained a diamond ring.

"Yes!", she said.

Heather placed it on her finger and admired it while he waited for her answer.

"You've made me so happy", she said.

"Don't you go getting no ideas, just because Kevin proposed to Heather", said Ryan.

"Just you wait, I'll make you change your mind someday", she said, nuzzeling his neck.

"Don't hold your breath!", he laughed.

"Let's go inside and leave the lovebirds to themselves", said Ryan.

"Mary, do you love me?", he asked.

"You know I do", she said.

"So why won't you do woo hoo with me then?", he asked.

"Like I tell you every time you ask, I'm not doing THAT until I have a wedding ring on my finger", she said.

"There's plenty of other women who will and they don't need no dumb ring!", he shouted.

"If that's what you want, go right ahead and get you one!", she shouted.

"I already did! She's going to have my baby!", shouted Ryan.

"Just because your daddy has women agreeing to share him, doesn't mean I'm going to share you. Ryan, you're NOT your daddy.

"Get out!", shouted Mary.

Then Ryan left to go home.

Across town at Mary Lou and Peter's house . . .

They had a family birthday party for their youngest daughter Carrie, who wasn't very excited about growing up. In fact she looked rather bored with the whole thing.

She did manage to become interested enough to make a wish and blow out the candles on her cake.

She started growing up.

And grew up into a cute adult.

In fact Carrie looked like a taller version of her teenage self.

Being throughly bored with her parents' conversation after a few minutes . . .

She went out on the back porch and sit in the swing.

All of a sudden, Ryan jumped over the porch railing and . . .

Landed at her feet.

"Hey, what are you doing over here?", she said.

"I came over to wish you a happy birthday", said Ryan.

"You didn't grow up too bad looking", he said.

"Is that suppose to be a compliment?", she asked.

"Sure, if you want to take it as one", he said.

"What's wrong? You look like you lost your best friend", said Carrie.

"I think I did", he said.

"Huh?", she said.

"Never mind", he said.

"Look, I know I'm just adverage looking", she said.

"No, I was just joking before. You are kinda pretty", he said.

"Thank you for saying so", she said.

"You want to go over to my place?", he asked.

"Sure, it's got to be more to do there than it is here", said Carrie.

Carrie walked down the stairs and . . .

Ryan jumped off the porch by going over the railing.

"Don't you ever use the stairs?", she asked.

"It's more fun not to", he said.

They walked across the street to his place.

Ryan tickled Carrie. She enjoyed his playfulness.

And he enjoyed teasing her.

"Wow, this is a great house! Do just you and your dad live here?", she said.

"Yeah, but he's not home much. He's over at Claudia's house today. Noah was leaving this morning to go into the Navy.", said Ryan.

Ryan sit on the sofa and asked Carrie to join.

"Come over here. I don't bite", he joked.

Picket Fences! Part 58

Over at Rhys Sawyer's place . . .

"I use to have a crush on Noah. He reminded me a lot of you", she said.

"We might look a lot alike, but he ain't nothing like me", he said.

Then he gave her a romantic kiss.

He gave her a makeout kiss . . .

And she returned it with one of her own.

Ryan got up off the sofa and started down the hall.

"Where are you going?", asked Carrie.

"Follow me and you'll see", he answered.

He went into his bedrom. He relaxed on his bed and asked Carrie to join.

"Don't this feel good?", he asked.

"Yes, but I don't think we should be doing this", she said.

"Why not? We're both adults", he said.

Then they madeout.

"Do you want to do woo hoo?", he asked.

"I don't think we should", she said.

"If you love me, you'll say yes", he said.

And she said YES!

"I love you Ryan", she said, "Do you love me?"

"Yeah, sure", he said.

Carrie got up out of the bed.

"Where are you going?", he asked.

"I was going home. I thought you were asleep", she said.

"I got to get home. My parents are going to wonder where I am", she said.

He kissed her goodbye . . .

And Carrie left to go home.

At Jennifer Custer's house on Crumbletop Lane . . .

Jennifer had started having labor pains a short while ago.

And was nearing the end of her labor . . .

And she soon delivered a baby boy.

The baby has tan skin and brown hair like both his parents. And he has his mama's brown eyes.

She named her son Matthew.

She fed him a bottle of milk . . .

Before putting him in his crib.

The telephone started ringing . . .

"Hello", she said.

"Are you alright?", asked Nick.

"Yes, I'm fine and so is the baby", she said.

"I'll be right over", he said.

Nick arrived a few minutes later, still wearing his work clothes.

He walked into the nursery and leaned over the crib.

He took the baby out of the crib.

He carried Matt into the kitchen and held him for Jennifer to "talk to the baby".

Then Jennifer looked lovingly at Nick.

As Nick was feeding the baby he asked "Have you called his daddy to tell him he has a beautiful son?"

"No, not yet", she said.

"I'll get out of your way, so you can call him. I know if it was me, I'd want to know", said Nick.

He handed Jennifer the baby, so she could put him in his crib.

" You need to call Matt's daddy and invite him over to meet his son", said Nick, "I'm call you later."

After Nick left she called Ryan.

"I had the baby this morning. It's a boy", she said, "You can come over to see him, if you want?"

"Yeah sure!"

Ryan arrived a few minutes later.

"Where's the baby?", he asked.

"He's taking a nap, but he'll be awake in a few minutes", she said

"What did you name him?"

"His name is Matthew. Matt for short."

"Yeah, Matthew is a mouthful to say ain't it?", said Ryan.

"He's awake. I'll go get him", she said.

Jennifer took Matthew out of his crib.

She carried him into the livingroom and handed him to Ryan.

"He's so little", said Ryan.

"Well, he's only a few hours old", she said.

"He looks a little bit like me, except he has brown eyes like you", said Ryan.

Ryan played with Matthew.

Jennifer lounged on the sofa and watched him cuddle his son.

"Jennifer, come get him. He smells bad", said Ryan.

"Give him to me. I'll change his diaper", she said.

She took Matt down to the nursery to change his diaper.

Ryan waited for her to finish.

He soon got tired of waiting and started down the hall.

He came into the nursery . . .

"I'm going on home", he said.

"I'll call you", he said.

"Don't bother", Jennifer thought to herself.

Then Ryan left to go home.

Over at Rhys Sawyer's place . . .

His son Ryan was relaxing in the hottub . . .

When Carrie Edwards from across the street came to visit.

He asked her to join him.

Carrie splashed water in Ryan's face.

"I hope it was alright to come over without calling first", she said.

"Yeah sure, I won't doing nothing", he said.

Carrie gave him a tender kiss.

They made out.

"You want to do woo hoo?", she asked.

And Ryan said YES!

They both agreed it was incredible.

"I guess I better go home", she said.

They got out of the hottub and Ryan kissed her goodbye.

Then Carrie left to go home.

The next afternoon at Rhys' place Ryan Sr. came to his birthday cake.

He blew out the candles and made a wish as everyone cheered.

Then he started to grow up . . .

And became an elder.

He grabbed a big slice of his birthday cake.

Jonathan and Shannan's twins also celebrated their birthday today. Sean came to his birthday cake first.

He made a wish . . .

And blew out the candles.

He grew up into a cute teenager.

Scott came to his birthday cake next.

He made a wish and blew out the candles.

He grew up into a cute teenager. He looked a lot like Nathan did when he first came to Buford Falls.

Claudia came out of the house carrying Hannah.

"Rhys, I think it's about time for me and Hannah to go home", she said.

"Yeah sure", said Rhys.

"Come 'mon Megan, it's time to take you home, too", he told the toddler.

Then they left the party . . .

With Rhys carrying his daughter Megan and Claudia carrying their daughter Hannah.

When they arrived at Claudia's house, she took Hannah into the nursery . . .

And Rhys and Megan followed.

After she put Hannah in her crib Rhys said "I'll come back after I take Megan home, if you want me to."

"That sounds like a wonderful plan, if you don't get sidetracked", she said.

"I'll be back. I promise", he said.

"We'll see", said Claudia.

He picked up Megan . . .

"You ready to go home?", he asked.

"Say bye-bye to Claudia", he told her.

""Bye bye", said Megan.

"Bye bye sweetie", said Claudia.

Then Rhys left to take Megan home.

They soon arrived at Regan's place.

Rhys walked into the livingroom. Regan was talking on the telephone . . .

"That's alright, they just walked in the door."

"Did she have a good time at the party?", asked Regan.

"Yeah, she played with Jonathan and Shannan's twins before they grew up", he said.

"It's a little bit past her bedtime. Come into the nursey and you can help put her to bed", she said.

Regan put Megan in her crib . . .

And Rhys tucked her in.

"Let's go back to the livingroom so we can talk", said Regan.

"Megan's birthday is tomorrow. I'd like for us to have her party at your place", she said.

"Yeah sure, I got more room at my place. I'll take care of everything", he said.

"Thank you Rhys, I really appreciate it", she said.

"Can you spend the night?", she asked.

"No, I promised Claudia I'd come back to her place tonight", he said.

"So does that mean you don't want to do woo hoo with me or care about me anymore?", asked Regan.

"You're the mother of my little girl. I'll always care about you", he said.

"Can I have one last kiss for old times sake?", asked Regan.

So Rhys gave her a romantic kiss.

"I love you Rhys", she said.

"Yeah, I know you do", he said.

"I'll see you and Megan tomorrow at the party", said Rhys.

Regan stood at the window and watched until he was out of sight.

Rhys arrived at Claudia's house a few minutes later.

When he walked in the front door . . .

Claudia was waiting.

"I was beginning to think you weren't coming back tonight", she said.

"I promised you I was", he said.

"I thought maybe Regan had asked you to spend the night", she said.

"She did, but I rather be with you. I love you Claudia", said Rhys.

Then Claudia gave him a romantic kiss.

Default Picket Fences! Part 59

Picket Fences! Part 59

In the past few days there was three birthdays celebrated in Buford Falls . . .

Over at Jonathan and Shannan Henry's place it was time for their only daughter's birthday. They celebrated with a small family birthday party.

Jonathan brought Lauren to her cake.

Everybody sang "Happy birthday to you . . ." and cheered.

Jonathan helped her blow out the candles.

Then he did "the baby toss" and . . .

Lauren grew up into a cute blonde toddler.

Across town at the church parsonage there was another birthday celebrated . . .

Rev. Spain brought his son Jacob to his cake.

He and his wife Gwen sang "Happy birthday to you and she cheered . . ."

He helped the baby blow out the candles.

The pastor did "the baby toss" and . . .

Jacob returned to his arms grown up into a cute toddler.

At Rhys' place . . .

When Regan arrived with Megan Grace, they were greeted with friendly hugs all around.

When it was time for Megan Grace Tyler to grow up, her dad (Rhys Sawyer) brought her to her cake.

Scott, Regan . . .

Ryan, Shannan, Kevin, Heather, Sean and . . .

Jonathan and Ryan Sr. clapped the clappers and blew the birthday horns..

Rhys helped her blow out the candles.

When he put her down she did "the toddler dance". . .

And her family and friends watched and cheered . . .

As Megan Grace grew up into a pretty child.

Then she grabbed a big slice of her birthday cake.

Some candid shots of the party follow:

After the party was over family and friends left to go home . . .

Rhys and Regan were sitting in the glider . . .

When Megan Grace came over and asked "Dad, can I spend the night?"

"You said when I was older, I could. Don't you remember?"

"Sure I remember. You can spend next weekend!", said Rhys.

"Why not now?", she asked.

"Megan Grace, we need to go home. I have to redo your room, unless you still want to sleep in your crib", said Regan, "Now tell your dad goodbye."

"Bye Dad", said Megan Grace, giving him a friendly hug.

"I'll be over to pick you up Friday afternoon when you get home from school", said Rhys.

Then Regan and Megan Grace left to go home.

Meanwhile, across the street at Mary Lou's house . . .

Carrie was relaxing on her bed thinking about Ryan Sawyer.

All of a sudden she jumped up off the bed and ran to the bathroom . . .

And threw up in the toilet.

When she turned around, her mother was watching her.

"Mom, I can explain", said Carrie.

"Well, in that case, start explaining", said Mary Lou.

"I ate some bad food and I must have food poisoning", she lied.

"I don't believe that for a minute Carrie", said Mary Lou.

"You never believe me", said Carrie.

"If you told me the truth once in a while, I would", Mary Lou said.

"Come into the livingroom after you clean yourself up", said Mary Lou.

Mary Lou went into the livingroom and sit on the sofa beside Peter.

"Carrie was in the bathroom a few minutes ago. She was throwing up in the toilet. SHE says she has food poisoning', said Mary Lou.

"Don't you believe her?", he asked.

"I hope that's all it is, but I have a feeling she's pregnant", Mary Lou said.

"Carrie doesn't even have a boyfriend. How can she be pregnant?", said Peter.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out in a few minutes", she said.

Carrie came into the livingroom and Mary Lou said "Carrie, do you have a boyfriend?"

"Yes", she answered.

"Did you do woo hoo with him?", asked Mary Lou.

"Yes", said Carrie.

"How could you be so stupid to let him use you like that?", Mary Lou shouted.

"He said if I loved him, I'd do woo hoo, so I did . . . twice", she said.

"Who is it?", asked Mary Lou.

"It's Ryan Sawyer and it wasn't like you think. He loves me", said Carrie.

"Well, I'm going to see how much he loves you", she said.

Then Mary Lou headed across the street to Rhys Sawyer's place.

She was so mad, she walked into the house without even knocking.

Picket Fences! Part 60

Over at Rhys' place . . .

Mary Lou had come over to demand that Ryan do the right thing by her daughter . . .

"I just found out Carrie is pregnant and she said you're the father!", said Mary Lou.

"She ain't said nothing to me about it. I'll give her money to buy what she needs for the baby and I'll support it", said Ryan.

"We don't need your money. Carrie needs a wedding ring on her finger before she starts showing. I refuse to have people gossip about my daughter", said Mary Lou.

"I ain't getting married!", said Ryan.

"You do realize Carrie is a lot younger than you, don't you?", she asked.

"I didn't force her to do woo hoo. I asked her and she said yes", he said.

Mary Lou decided to try to reason with Rhys.
"Rhys, you have two daughters. What would you do if one of them were in Carrie's situation?", asked Mary Lou.

"I reckon I'd feel the same way you do", said Rhys, "Let me talk to my son."

"Son, you're going to have to marry Carrie", said Rhys.

"I don't want to get married!", shouted Ryan.

"You should have thought of that before you done woo hoo with a minor!", shouted Rhys.

"You ain't married none of the women who had your babies", said Ryan.

"That's because all the women I had babies with were over twenty-one", said Rhys.

"Now go tell Mary Lou you'll going to marry Carrie and try to be a good husband to her", said Rhys, giving Ryan a hug.

"Mrs. Edwards, I'm going to ask Carrie to marry me. I promise I'll try to be a good husband to her", said Ryan.

"If you mean it, call her and invite her over, so you can ask her", she said.

"Carrie, can you come over?", he asked.

"Sure, I'll be right there", she said.

Carrie arrived a few minutes later . . .

And Ryan went to greet her.

"There's something I want to ask you", he said.

"What is it?", she asked.

He got down on one knee and held up a diamond ring . . .

"Carrie will you be engaged to me?", he asked.

She admired the ring . . ..

Then she jumped into his arms and said "YES!"

"I'm so surprised. I never in a million years expected a proposal", she said.

Then he gave her a romantic kiss.

Mary Lou went over to Ryan and said "Well, now that you're engaged, are you ready to take the next step?"

"Yeah sure, we may as well get it over with", he answered.

"Good, I'll call Peter. We can start the ceremony when he gets here", she said.

When Peter arrived he took his place beside Mary Lou on the sofa.

The wedding ceremony began when Ryan proposed marriage to Carrie.

He held up a gold wedding band . . .

And placed it on her finger and said "I take you Carrie to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward."

Carrie held up a matching gold band and . . .

And placed it on Ryan's finger and said "I take you Ryan to be my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day foward." The glowing wedding bands appeared over her head.

Over at Jennifer Custer's place . . .

She called Nick Carras . . .

"Hello Nick, today is Matt's birthday. Would you like to come over?", she asked.

"Great, I'll be there in a few minutes", he said.

"You can do the honors if you want", she said.

"Thanks, I'll be glad to", he said.

Nick went into the nursery and took Matt out of his crib.

He brought Matthew to his birthday cake.

He helped the infant blow out the candles.

Jennifer watched and thought what a good daddy Nick would be.

Nick did the "baby toss" . . .

And Matthew returned to his arms a cute toddler.

Jennifer and Nick cuddled on the sofa . . .

While Matthew played with the shape sorter.

"You need to call Matt's daddy and tell him his son grew up into a toddler", said Nick.

"Yeah, I know. He's only come over that one time to see him. I don't think there's any hurry", she said.

Jennifer took the baby to the nursery to change his diaper and dress him for bed.

She put him in his crib.

When Jennifer came out of the nursery, Nick met her in the hall . . .

And gave her a romantic kiss.

He picked her up in his strong arms . . .

And layed her on the bed and they made out.

And Jennifer said YES!

"That was wonderful", he said.

"Yes it was", she agreed.

Over at Regan's place . . .

Rhys has arrived with Megan Grace

Regan greeted Megan Grace with a hug.

"Did you have a good time at Claudia's house?", asked Regan.

"Yes, we had a birthday party for Hannah Saturday. Today we played outside and Dad ordered a pizza for lunch", said Megan Grace.

"You had a good time. That's the important thing", said Regan, giving her a hug.

Megan Grace and Rhys played a game of chess while Regan watched.

When Megan Grace started getting tired, Regan told her it was time for bed.

She hugged Regan goodnight.

She gave Rhys a goodnight hug.

Then got into bed and slept in her pajamas.

"Would you like to spend the night?", asked Regan.

"I'd really like to, but I guess I'll go on home", said Rhys.

"You don't have anyone waiting at home for you, do you?", she asked.

"No", he said.

"Well, then there's no reason you can't stay here with me", she said.

Rhys gave her a romantic kiss.

"Rhys, do you want to do woo hoo?", asked Regan.

"Yeah sure", he said.

"You know I ain't got enough money to buy a house", said Ryan.

"I've already bought one for you. I was saving it as a surprise", said Rhys.

"Thank you Daddy", said Ryan.

He picked up the telephone and called a taxicab.

Then Ryan and Carrie left with the twins to find their own place. . .

"Well, we're back to where we started", said Rhys.
"Not exactly. We have a son and two grandsons now", said Jasmyn.
"You'll always be special to me. When you gave birth to Ryan and let me have him to raise , you changed my life for the better ", he said.

Picket Fences! Part 63

Over at Jennifer Custer's house . . .

Nick was telling Jennifer goodbye before he left to go home.

He suddenly dropped to one knee and held up a diamond ring.
"Will you be engaged to me?', he asked.

He waited for her answer while she admired the ring.

Then she jumped into his arma and said "YES!"

"I didn't expect you to propose", she said excitedly, "You've made me so happy!"

"I'm ready to get married whenever you want", she said.
"The sooner the better", he said.
"I want to invite my parents and my brother", said Nick.
"Do they live here in town?", asked Jennifer.
"Yeah, Mom and Dad live over on Elm Street and Tony has an apartment on Main Street", said Nick.
"I'd love to have them come", she said.
"Good, let's have the wedding next Saturday", he said.
"That sounds good to me", she said.", he said.

Nick kissed her goodbye.

Then left to go home.

The next morning Jennifer received a call from Ryan.
"Can I come over to visit my son", he asked.
"Yeah, that'll be okay. Matthew and I will be out on the backporch", she said.
"Thanks, I'll be there in a few minutes", he said.

Ryan arrived a short time later.

Ryan talked to Matthew.

He picked up the toddler . . .

And gave him a hug.

Then they played together with the toy lighthouse while Jennifer watched.

"Come sit down in the glider", she said, "I have something to tell you."

"I'm getting married next Saturday", she said.
"I'm happy for you", he said.

"Are you happy Ryan?", she asked.
"Not really. You know I got married, right?", he asked.
"Yeah, I heard". she said.
"Well, I was forced into it because she was pregnant. A wedding ring was the only thing her family would accept", said Ryan.

"How are the babies doing? I heard y'all had twin boys", she asked.

"Joseph and Jeffery are doing great. I love them and I'm trying to make a go of it for their sakes, but I don't know for how long I'm going to be able to make it", he said, "I reckon it's what I deserve after the way I treated you."
"I don't have any hard feelings toward you Ryan. If things between us hadn't happened the way it did, I wouldn't be fre to marry Nick and I wouldn't have Matthew", she said.
"Thanks for telling me. It helps."

"Bye Jennifer", said Ryan.

"Bye son", he said.
"Bye bye", said Matthew.
