Default White ring around iris on werewolves and vampires when using custom default eyes (Solved!)
Here are pictures of what I'm talking about

Humans and other occults like fairies & witches have normal eyes.

How do I get rid of this white ring?
The eyes are Oh My by Escand

I guess iris size for vampire and werewolves are smaller than others.

I tried both V4 and V5, put them in the overrides folder but they didn't get rid of the ring.

My apologies, I didn't mean to download those 2, they are a separate mod. I meant simply to read it for knowledge base.

Test Conclusion:
This is what the test concluded.

EA stretches the iris for werewolves and vampires, approx 10%. So they have a larger iris. Because you are using a CC, what it does is it stretch the original EA iris with EA alpha, and then replace it with the CC iris texture, which is not stretched. That's what the white outline is, it is the alpha gap between the eye and the iris.

There is no "real" way to fix this, at least none that I know of, unless someone actually find the actual vampire eye alpha and replaces it with regular alpha.

The only other way is to stretch the iris. However, keep in mind, that means your regular sims would have huge iris too.

Alternatively... you can download the "contact" version and stretch that one. Then use the contact version for vampires only, overriding the DR version.

Attached here:
Escand's "oh my" eyes contacts - Vampire/Werewolf fix. Increased iris by 10%

This will work with the DR "oh my", it will simply override if you use the contacts, so I suggest you use the contacts just for vampires and werewolves. If you want, I'd be happy to make this DR replacement, but keep in mind, this means ALL your sims will have a 10% iris size increase.

The MTS upload wouldn't let me upload the file, so here's it on my mediafire:

It works! Please make it a DR. I don't mind the slightly bigger iris since I have this mod that makes the iris smaller anyway. Thank you so much for your help!

Oh, that's cool I think that is why your screenshots have a smaller black border around the iris.

This is the DR for the same eye: (refer to new post)

hold on, let me take a look. The contact lense version has a different focal point for the iris, I had to manually adjust it several times to get it right. When I make the DR, I just copied it over, so I might have to return the focal point back the original DR.

However, I did test all of it from human to vampire, male to female, toddler to elder, before I upload it. I probably just didn't look at it close enough. But please make sure you delete your cache and also removed the contact lens from your sim.

I did clear my caches (CASpartcache, simCompositorCache, WorldCaches) and I removed the contact lenses.

gimme a couple of mins. Ok, I shifted the iris back to the original position from the mod, but now it is completely off. As I've noticed earlier, the original placement was not accurate that is why I had to shift the contact lens. But I think I can use the first version DR I just made and shift it a couple more pixels towards upper center. It should fix this issue.

But I have to take a shower now, so brb in like maybe 20 mins.

Edit:
Ok, so for some reason every age the eye placement is slightly different. It doesn't matter with the humans because the alpha is established in the mod. It was a pain in the ass trying to match the texture with the V/M alpha, so I compromised by going 15% iris size.

Hope this works!
