This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default My Body Shop is purple !!! Help Windows 10
Hello Everybody,

I am out of ideas and I'm starting to get a headache with making my bodyshop working.

I have the sims 2 UC installed on my new Windows 10 pro computer that i bought specially for movie making with sims 2 matters.

Since yesterday I've been trying to get my game to work and eventually i finnaly got trough! by looking at god knows how many threads tutorials and programs and stuff over the internet...

Annyway when i tried to open bodyshop from my latest EP (M&G) it wouldnt open, no chance at all ! It would crash before the loading window could come up.

I then thought maybe i should patch bodyshop with the 4GB patch, and miraculously It did help and loaded completly without crashing.

Now new problem is this:

I really don't know what to edit what to change anymore... Something tells me, I'm sure the problem is in the graphic rules file but I dont know what to change in order to get the purple pink away from bodyshop.

Please I beg you, wonderful wizards of Modthesims! Please rescue

I've had this happen, too - usually with a lot of CC involved (Especially after doing the DXVK fix, probably need to see to that as I didn't do what was needed to fix Bodyshop along with my game...). It does appear to be caused by the same set of problems as pink-flashing ingame, so if you had to apply fixes to make your game not have pink-flashing, you'll need to do the same fixes to Bodyshop (Assuming you edited the GraphicRules and VideoCard files in the Config folder, copy/overwrite them to the CSconfig folder, too).

The 4GB patch does help a little (first thing I did), and it worked fine with minimal CC before I did the DXVK fix to my game, but afterward I noticed Bodyshop started struggling after maybe 5-10 minutes of the full CC load, throwing the pink-flashing in randomly and then becoming full-blown.

One of the fixes you probably have to do to make your game recognize the video card is to edit the Graphic Rules and Video Cards files in the TSData\Res\Config folder (install files) - to fix things like screen resolution and such (or having them edited with the "Graphics Rules Maker" program). These files should also be copied to the TSData\Res\CSConfig folder.

Full paths for the UC:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\CSConfig

If you haven't done these fixes, then you may have to at some point anyway, because if the game doesn't recognize your graphics card it will usually play the game with the default low resolution, which is 800x600, and may throw all sorts of weird problems at you when playing.

(It's a bit easier than having to do all the needed edits manually)

I did copied my Graphic rules and Video cards files from the Config folder to the CSConfig folder, Bodyshop is still purple.

My The sims 2 EP9 game is working great so far, no crash, no purple....

I see you have the "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti" card, which is one of the more problematic ones (I have a 1070, with the same issues - the 2000 series could potentially be a bit worse with TS2). Are you absolutely sure the pink-flashing is gone from your game (as in, you can play for several hours with CC, with shaders enabled, without seeing any pink)?

You may want to try the list of fixes mentioned in these two topics:
https://2fingerswhiskey.tumblr.com/...h-edges-for-ts2
https://episims.tumblr.com/post/190...-helped-me-with

If that doesn't do it, you may want to look into the DXVK fix.

@Simmer22 Thank you so much I followed the episims post:

i changed:

# never trust the driver to manage its own memory
boolProp enableDriverMemoryManager true

And added:

boolProp disableTexMemEstimateAdjustment true

to the CSconfig Graphic rules file everything works fine ( Without CC)

Im going to test with CC and let you know shortly
