The Sims Solitaire Challenge
The Sims Solitaire Challenge
Here's a mini challenge I wrote (original Russian version can be found here). Looking forward to any feedback
It is suitable for The Sims 2, 3 or 4. You'll need the game and a pack of playing cards.

Setup
Create a family of one Sim, move them in on an empty lot, set household funds to zero.

Rules
First, pick a trump suit for the Sim. It means bonus points for certain daily tasks:
  • Hearts are Romance & Family;
  • Diamonds are Friends & Fun;
  • Clubs are Money & Career;
  • Spades are Enemies & Mischief.
Or you can leave it to destiny and don't choose the trump suit yourself, in which case the first card you draw on the first day will determine the trump.

Each morning, you draw one card from the deck (it can be a physical desk or any online card picker such as this one. This card determines a daily task for your Sim. Unless task says otherwise, you have 24 hours to complete the task and get yourself some points for this card. If you can't or won't do it in time, you get nothing for that day. Next morning, draw another card and so on.
  • If you draw a card for the first time, try to complete the task.
  • If you draw a card you've already drawn but haven't fulfilled its task, try once more to complete the task.
  • If you draw a non-trump card you've already drawn and fulfilled, just discard it and draw another one.
  • If you draw a trump card you've already drawn and fulfilled, draw three more cards and choose one of them (at your discretion) as your daily task. (If all three turn out to be already played and fulfilled, discard them and draw again.)
If your daily task required moving someone in or out or losing your job, you can't go back to status quo (moving someone back in, choosing the same job etc.) unless directed by another daily task.
You can't use cheat codes, except for setting household funds to zero at the beginning or to reset game-breaking bugs.
Other than that, no restriction on what you can do.

Score
You keep score of drawn cards and points. If you complete daily task successfully, you get points for that card:
  • Non-trump cards
    2 pts for a Deuce, 3 pts for a Three… etc., 10 pts for a Ten, 11 pts for a Jack, 12 pts for a Queen, 13 pts for a King, 20 pts for an Ace.
  • Trump cards
    Twice as much: 4 pts for a Deuce, 6 pts for a Three… etc., 26 pts for a King, 40 pts for an Ace.
Your overall goal is to get to 220 points. Try to achieve it in the least number of days.
If your Sim dies before having 220 pts, you lose (unless you're trying the "Ace of Spades" task).
