While searching for help I came across this thread and since it was originally written 10 years ago, I wanted to know if it still helpful in anyway or outdated.

I also went ahead and downloaded the Graphic Rule Maker
https://www.simsnetwork.com/tools/graphics-rules-maker
I tried to use the recommended auto-detect settings, but nothing changed in my game so I reverted them.

I'm really at a loss.

I had similar issues with my old laptop (Nvida )but somehow got it to work.

You probably need to tick the "high quality on intel graphics" in the GRM.

If that doesn't work, you can try this: https://modthesims.info/t/479610
and this: https://simscommunity.info/2016/04/...es-sim-shadows/

If you have Windows 7-11, you'll probably want to patch the memory so it can access 4 GB, especially if you want to use CC. 10/11 might need more help for memory handling, too - https://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=610641

Just keep in mind that running games with just intel graphics can strain more on the computer/laptop, especially if you run the highest settings.

Okay, so I tried the first link and the neighborhood looks as it should!
(Thank you!)

SO now, I entered a test lot and I notice my walls are clipping for maybe 2-3 seconds after placing or removing an object. I'm assuming this too is a graphic issue. But maybe one of a different kind.

Edit:

I've come across this on Leefish
http://www.leefish.nl/mybb/showthread.php?tid=6883

Is this fix any different from me editing the Graphics rule note? And how does this work?
I have no idea which ones to use

Your texture memory says 32 MB which is way too little, and could potentially be why the walls are caving in a bit. This is a fix you'll have to do in GraphicRules.

You can try the Intel variation of the GraphicRules file on LeeFish's page. It's the same, just a pre-edited file. This one probably helps fix the memory, too. I'd guess on the 3000+ version based on what your game is reading it to be.

You'll want the 4GB patch I mentioned above, too.

Thanks for your help I'll look into the 4gb patch !

I updated the resolution and turned smooth edges on and now it's all good.
