Design tool not working
Hey guys, so I have a question about a set I downloaded. It consists of 4 objects with 4 recolours each. I set down the first recolour which is tied to the mesh to check it out... Then I grabbed the design tool to change the recolour but while it worked on the chair, it didn't work on the bench and the two tables. So I bought the other recolours separately, tried the design tool on them and it worked just fine! For whatever reason the design tool doesn't recognise that the recolour that contains the mesh has other recolours. Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Preferably something that involves a few clicks on SimPE because I know nothing about this stuff...
Thanks in advance!

Could be a problem with repo'd meshes (if they are repo'd?).
It could also be they don't have their subset properly enabled for recoloring, which also requires fixing.
Would need to know which set you're talking about to know if it's fixable and what needs to be fixed, and how easy it is (there's several small things that can go wrong in both processes), but it sounds like something that's fixable.
Could be you need the CEP for them to work (if the items are recolors of EAxis items or cloned from them and maybe texture-linked to one of the subsets or something like that), so check if you've got the CEP installed. Mostly needed for EA content made recolorable and recolors of these, plus CEPextras, but occasionally it's needed for other player-made content.

Sorry for the late reply.
I don't think they're repo'd and I have the CEP (no extras though) . The items are separate from EA content but could they be cloned? I don't know, maybe.
The link with the mesh that doesn't recognise recolours other than its own is:

The other recolours are:

Can't find anything wrong with the setup in the files except for the four meshes not having the MMATs set to "true" as the "defaultMaterial" (can be fixed by changing 0 to 1 in the "value" box - only do it for the MMATs in the mesh files. The others should be set as false). Not sure if this is the cause of the problem. I don't think so, because if there isn't a default material the object seems to just pick one.
If you go to the OBJD resource and just click "commit" for all the OBJDs (don't do any other changes) in the "table 1x2" and sofa, that could help, too. They seem to have some uncommitted changes/issues (this can sometimes cause some problems).
Save the files when you're done.
